“This was my first time leaving my cat for an extended period and Sarah was the best possible person I could have trusted to look after her! She was so communicative, consistent, and clearly paid careful attention to the instructions I left with her. My cat can be a bit shy and co-dependent so I was really happy to see she had obviously taken to Sarah, who sent awesome photo updates at the end of each visit! I would highly recommend Sarah and will definitely contact her in the future for future trips :)”

“I admit I had separation anxiety leaving my two elder cats due to all the extra attention they received during the pandemic! This was my first trip since end of 2019 and Susan (at the last minute) came to my rescue after a relative had to cancel pet sitting. Susan came on time twice a day, sent pictures daily, and kitties looked happy upon my return. Thank you so much for your time and care. Much appreciated!!”
“It was awesome knowing that our pets were being cared for. We didn’t worry a bit. Andrhu immediately made us feel comfortable leaving. He went above and beyond. I strongly recommend Andru to everyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover. We had someone set to take care of our cats for a week but a day before leaving on our trip they were admitted into the hospital and we weren’t sure for how long. I reached out to Leslie because I needed an emergency backup and thankfully she was available. We met up and went over everything the cats needed but it wasn’t until we landed in Seattle did we find out for sure that our first planned person was staying in the hospital even longer. Being thousands of miles away and having plans change like that was pretty stressful but Leslie was very understanding and professional! She stepped in and visited them twice a day, giving medicine to our kitten daily, feeding them, and hanging out and playing with them. Stormy, our kitten, loved having someone to play with while we were away and our older, usually standoffish cat Chloe even came out to see her and rubbed on her leg! She really made this potentially stressful trip into a perfectly care-free one because I knew the cats were well taken care of in her hands. Getting the pictures each day of the cats playing was really great, too! We will definitely be using Leslie in the future!”
“Ivy was fantastic! I appreciated her patience, understanding, and consideration with Aspen. She was kind, thoughtful and careful while Aspen became comfortable with her. Scheduling and coordinating with Ivy was a breeze. She put in time and effort to make the schedule and manage everything through Rover. I'll be using Ivy in the future, without a doubt.”

“I cannot believe how happy and relaxed my kittie are when I return from my trips. I cannot thank Alexis enough for her kindness to my furry boys, and her very detailed taking care of business. She is a rock star cat sitter.”

“Thank you, Mariko for taking great care of my 3 fur babies again while we were on our vacay! I loved seeing all the pics & I didn't worry at all about how they were doing back at home. They looked so happy! I truly appreciate everything you do! Thanks soooo much!”

“Fantastic drop-in care for our goldendoodle Lily. She got plenty of attention, potty breaks, and love. Updates were timely with photos, and everything was exactly as promised. We’ll absolutely rebook.”

“Kristina was wonderful with our shy boy! He warmed up to her quickly and we really appreciated how communicative she is. We’ll certainly book with her again, and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have always had a passion for animals and have owned many different pets. I have grown up around animals my whole life and I currently own 1 dog, my Golden Retriever, Milo. As well as 4 cats. I work only 1-2 days a week, during nights. I’m also in school online, so most of my schedule is based around your pet. I love to spoil my dogs with treats, toys, and my love for them knows no boundaries. I can guarantee that once you're reunited with your dog, you will be thrilled with how your pet was treated. Once your dog enters my home, I consider them family and love them as my own. I currently work night shifts as a CNA, and I only work part time. I’m also in school getting classes done before I can start a nursing program, but it doesn’t take up much of my time at the moment. At my house, there is a fenced in backyard that is located directly next to a park. The dogs will get plenty of outdoor time to play, go potty, etc. Pets are also allowed on furniture and will be welcome to sleep in my bedroom with me.
About: I've been caring for cats my entire life and have extensive experience meeting their unique needs and personalities. I also have experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of providing plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've provided pet sitting for family and friends, helping with feeding, playtime, and daily care. I understand how important pets are to their families and strive to provide loving, reliable care so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. care of cats since I was very young. I currently work full-time Sunday through Thursday so on those days I would stop by in the late afternoon and early evenings. I am more flexible on Fridays and Saturdays. While I'd love to welcome every pet into my home, I have multiple pets of my own and cannot accommodate additional animals in my rental home. But while I'm visiting your own, your pet's routine is important to me. While caring for your pet in your home, I follow your instructions closely and ensure all daily tasks are completed, from feeding and walks to litter box cleaning, playtime, and picking up toys.
“Natalie was the best rover we could ask for. We booked her for about a week for drop in sessions and she had great communication, was super sweet and went above and beyond. She left our house and dogs in better condition than we left them in. She consistently kept communication while on vacation and that gave us peace of mind. We would rather book with her than have family watch our dogs. We highly recommend Natalie.”

“We have three energetic dogs with conflicting personalities. Our oldest is 9 and very grumpy when we leave which has caused problems with sitters in the past. However, Darrienne was a pro! She handled the situation with such grace and laughter while ensuring our other pups got the attention they needed as well. I could tell upon arriving home that they had been well taken care of and they weren’t even anxious like they typically are when we have been gone. I was highly impressed with her care of our two bully's and our shibu!”
“If you are looking for a pet sitter to help ensure your trip is stress-free, LOOK NO FURTHER! Madison was so awesome!! She watched our three kitties while we vacationed in Aruba for a week. I get very stressed leaving them but she left thorough visit notes and took lots of pictures of them. We felt she did such an amazing job and will definitely be rebooking her as long as she does petsitting. She is so sweet and clearly loves animals! Thanks again!!”

About: I’ve been around all kinds of dogs and breeds my entire life. I had a large husky when I was little, and a golden retriever. I’ve always gotten along with friends, family and neighbors dogs no matter the size or breed. I currently have two dogs a 90+ Ibs pitbull mix and a 35 Ibs blue heeler mix. I understand that each dog and breed have their own needs and lifestyles. I’m currently out of school for the summer and have an almost completely free schedule to take care of your pet and their needs. I have some things that have been scheduled for awhile but other than those few things I am available throughout the day. I can easily crate pets if needed. I can feed them and take them for walks/ to the bathroom multiple times throughout the day. I am unable to have pets stay at my home but I am willing to pet/ house sit if that is needed. I can pay a lot of attention to your pet while you are gone.

About: I had three dogs and a cat at one point ranging in size from toy poodle to Bernese. I love making sure your pets are treated like family. I am organized and very responsible and take pride in doing a good job. I teach Kindergarten when I'm not enjoying my summer break. I would be thrilled to take care of your furry friends:) I currently work M-F, but will be available 7 days a week starting June 28th through most of the summer. During the school year, I am available on the weekend. I take pet safety very seriously and would respect and follow all rules and expectations left. Wonderful to work with and it made our vacation so much easier! Since it was the first time leaving the house and needing a sitter, it was so comforting to have someone who communicated and gave us updates on our fur baby. Will definitely recommend and work with again 😊

Madison continues to be extremely good with care of our animals. Our geriatric dog requires medicine daily and has a specific routine of needing to potty after meals. Madison was able to accommodate this and help prevent accidents. My cat requires medicine twice daily as well. They both love her and she has been reliably available when we need her.

This was our third time booking Ariana for drop-in visits, and she continues to be amazing! Nickle and Dax are always so comfortable with her, and we have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in such caring and reliable hands. She’s communicative, dependable, and always sends the sweetest updates and photos. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely keep booking with her!

Veronica saved us at the last minute. Our flight was delayed by 5 hours and we unexpectedly needed to find someone to save our babies. We’re pretty new to the area and couldn’t think of someone to call. She did it without hesitation or even a meet and greet! We can tell our dogs are happy from the pictures. So grateful for her.

Micah stepped in on short notice and took great care of Fin. She was always on time and reliable. I was a bit nervous as this is my first time using this type of service. That quickly went away after the 1st walk. Fin quickly learned when to expect her and he was always waiting for her! Sometimes impatiently 😆.

I couldn’t recommend Sarah enough! It’s such a relief to know my pup is in safe, loving hands when I can’t be there, and I honestly feel like she gets just as excited to see her as she does to see me! Reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely kind—she has exceeded every expectation. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, look no further. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone without hesitation!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Puyallup. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
