“Sarah was amazing! She made me feel so at ease leaving my sweet boy to go on vacation. She sent the best updates and photos each day. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sarah. The only reason I would say not to use her is so that you don’t take her on the days I need her because I don’t plan on using anyone else!”

“Susan was amazing!! She checked in on our babies while we were on our honeymoon. I recieved pictures everytime she visited. The cats loved her and seemed super happy when we came back home. I would hire her again! 10/10!!”

“Kristina was wonderful with our shy boy! He warmed up to her quickly and we really appreciated how communicative she is. We’ll certainly book with her again, and would recommend her to anyone!”

“When a family emergency arised, Leslie was able to accommodate my cat in my home. I was sent pictures every day along with how she was doing. I will be using Leslie for my planned vacation next month. I highly recommend her services!”

“Nikki went above and beyond for me when dropping off my pup and that is putting it mildly. She was attentive, courteous, so professional and caring. I could not recommend her more. If I’m ever in a jam I will be using her again!!!!”

“Cheryl is an absolute God send for drop-in visits!! She took better care of our sweet dog than any other sitter we have ever had! She is reliable, professional, kind, compassionate, and above all: SHE LOVES DOGS!! She made sure our pup had plenty of food, water, treats, cuddles, and play. She went above and beyond to make my dog feel loved, played fun and challenging games with her--even took the initiative in seeing our dog a little sad, took her on a nice walk to cheer her up! I cherished the report cards she sent with great pictures and detailed summaries! What's more? I came home to a lovely note, a token of her kindness, and a healthy and happy pup! We will definitely be booking Cheryl again if we could be so lucky!!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Natalie was super communicative, timely, she sent great pics and videos and followed instructions to a T! I’m really excited because I feel like I finally found my go to. Thank you Natalie!!!!”

“We’ve used Piper several times now, and she’s absolutely wonderful! She’s kind, reliable, and really pays attention to our dogs and their needs. We just adore her and couldn’t ask for a better sitter!”

About: I’ve shared my life with both cats and dogs for as long as I can remember, but my real journey in animal care began in 2019 when I started volunteering at a local animal shelter. There, I made it my mission to ensure every animal received thoughtful, compassionate care — from feeding and grooming to walks, enrichment, and gentle socialization. Since 2023, I’ve been pet‑sitting for a variety of pets. My care includes feeding, administering medications, and providing both physical exercise and mental stimulation tailored to each pet’s needs. I’m certified in Pet CPR and Pet First Aid through PetTech, giving you added peace of mind that your pets are in safe, capable hands. I am currently volunteering at Metro Animal Services every Wednesday from noon - 3pm, hoping to get more experience within the animal care industry. In the meantime, I should be able to provide walks, daily visits and even overnight stays so long as the location is within the Pierce area. Let me know if this schedule fits best for you and we can schedule a "meet and greet". While I can only allow services within your home due to having dog reactive huskies I will ensure that just like your pets, your house is properly cared for by keeping up with necessary chores and providing clean spaces upon return.
About: While I am new to professional pet sitting, I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs and have been an animal lover my whole life. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages and sizes as well as understand the importance of keeping them safe, happy, and well cared for. My experience includes daily pet care such as feeding, walking, playtime, and basic grooming while being attentive to each pet's needs and routine. I aim to keep your fur baby feeling safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away! I have open availability currently and can accommodate short-notice bookings when needed. I am flexible with weekdays and weekends and willing to work with clients to find times that fit their needs. I will respond quickly to requests and communicate clearly about any scheduling changes :). My home isn't available for boarding due to housing restrictions but I can gladly provide reliable dog walking and drop-in visits. I strive to make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for according to their usual routine, following the owners instructions to prioritize each pet's wellbeing. Every pet will be treated like my own. I will always communicate clearly and provide updates consistently or when requested.
About: Hi! I am a dog parent to a sweet Pembroke Welsh corgi and I know how important it is to find someone who truly gets your dogs need from daily routine routines to emotional comfort. I value enrichment just as much as exercise from sniff walks and food puzzles to games and new experiences. I make sure dogs get the mental stimulation they need to feel satisfied and balanced. Whether your dog is high energy or prefers a slower pace I’ll taylor their day to the unique needs. I am attentive and committed to treating your pup like one of my own with lots of love gentle structure and constant updates to keep you in the loop. I am available everyday, from 6am to 5pm (sometimes even until 8pm). My Corgi is friendly and is also ready to play (if your dog wishes to). I follow what you indicate and do what’s best for your Pup. I knos how to read dog’s body language and is ready to make them feel loved. I am attentive of what your Pup puts in their mouth, the environment they are walking around, the noises… anything that might cause trouble.

“I needed a sitter last minute for my pups for SBLX Sunday & Haylee accepted my request right away! We discussed the details on the phone prior to her visit with them. She sent me pics of how relaxed & happy they were!. 💖🐶🐶🐶💖 I will definitely have her over for future visits!”

“The communication exceeds my expectations. I love getting photos of my boys when they’re enjoying their outdoor walks. And I greatly appreciate the smallest action of even bringing my packages in for me.”

In addition to caring for my own pets, I've provided pet sitting for family and friends, helping with feeding, playtime, and daily care. I understand how important pets are to their families and strive to provide loving, reliable care so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. care of cats since I was very young. I currently work full-time Sunday through Thursday so on those days I would stop by in the late afternoon and early evenings. I am more flexible on Fridays and Saturdays. About: I have always had a passion for animals and have owned many different pets. I have grown up around animals my whole life and I currently own 1 dog, my Golden Retriever, Milo. As well as 4 cats. I work only 1-2 days a week, during nights. I’m also in school online, so most of my schedule is based around your pet. I love to spoil my dogs with treats, toys, and my love for them knows no boundaries. I can guarantee that once you're reunited with your dog, you will be thrilled with how your pet was treated. Once your dog enters my home, I consider them family and love them as my own. I currently work night shifts as a CNA, and I only work part time. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Hill
Wonderful to work with and it made our vacation so much easier! Since it was the first time leaving the house and needing a sitter, it was so comforting to have someone who communicated and gave us updates on our fur baby. Will definitely recommend and work with again 😊

Lexy was amazing! Our kitties LOVED her. Even our shy boy warmed right up to her. Lexy was a pro at providing meds and all care necessary to our kitties. I would recommend Lexy to anyone who has kitties that love some affection and or have any medical needs. She’s the best!

Samantha was great! On the last day of our trip our rascal pups got all muddy in the yard and she helped clean them up and make sure our home wasnt too dirty when we got back. We didnt ask, she was just helpful and thoughtful without a word or hesitation. Awesome!

Kelli did a great job checking in our cats everyday while we were on vacation. Our social cat befriended her quickly and she was even able to convince our other notoriously shy cat to come out for some attention. Kelli’s communication and daily photo updates were clear and thoughtful. Our cats appreciated the clean litter box and head scratches, we will be contacting her again whenever our next trip happens.

Tiantian was absolutely wonderful! I am so extremely grateful to have had her watch my little old lady pup while I was away. She was extremely punctual, compassionate, and attentive. I got stuck in the northeast due to a blizzard and she was so accommodating and willing to do 4 more visits that were not originally scheduled. Her flexibility was the reason my pupper was cared for and comfortable during all of the craziness. I got home this evening and the house was tidy, my pup was asleep, and I felt so relieved. I would 10000% rebook and recommend that you do as well!!!!

This was our third time booking Ariana for drop-in visits, and she continues to be amazing! Nickle and Dax are always so comfortable with her, and we have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in such caring and reliable hands. She’s communicative, dependable, and always sends the sweetest updates and photos. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely keep booking with her!

Tabatha was our first go to again for taking care of our cats. She went the extra mile and was able to take care of them for three plus weeks through Christmas and New Years. We couldn't ask for better care and we were able to travel with a sound mind knowing Tabatha was taking care of our family. Highly recommended.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
