I don’t think it would be possible to find a sitter for my fur babies that would match Dianahh. I los my wife if 47 years last March. These ‘kids’ are so very special and important to me now. I was very nervous about boarding them. My wife was a Rover sitter for several years so I knew it was possible to find someone with compassion and Dianahh is that and more. Don’t look anywhere else. She’s perfect. John.

Our Australian Labradoodle loves her time with Odalys! We have her set for weekly doggy day care. She is so happy at drop off and exhausted at pick up. The best of both worlds. We feel like she is treated as part of their family and are especially grateful for the superb care of our pup! Highly recommend!

Leslie was great with our pup. With this being our first time using Rover I was a bit nervous leaving our guy with someone. But Leslie allowed us to do a meet and greet with my pup and her and her dogs, and they hit it off great. It was comforting to know that he’d be treated with the same level of care as when he’s home. When the day finally came to leave him, my pup was nervous being left behind and I was nervous leaving him, but that anxiety was eased by regular updates with texts, a picture and a video. She really was amazing and her husband was pretty awesome too with supporting her. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again! Thank you Leslie for being so awesome with your care of my fur baby:)

Kristina was amazing with Nalo. We set up a meet and greet last week and she interacted with Nalo, gave him treats, and was even training him in that short time. He had his first day of doggie daycare yesterday and Kristina sent me video and pictures of Nalo throughout the day. Nalo is only 5 months but we are leaving for 3 days in a few weeks and were looking for someone we can trust to watch Nalo for 3 days. Nalo made friends, went on walks, and was pooped by the time he came home 😂 Thanks Kristina! So glad we found you!

Whether your dog is high energy or prefers a slower pace I’ll taylor their day to the unique needs. I am attentive and committed to treating your pup like one of my own with lots of love gentle structure and constant updates to keep you in the loop. I am available everyday, from 6am to 5pm (sometimes even until 8pm). My Corgi is friendly and is also ready to play (if your dog wishes to). I follow what you indicate and do what’s best for your Pup. I knos how to read dog’s body language and is ready to make them feel loved. I am attentive of what your Pup puts in their mouth, the environment they are walking around, the noises… anything that might cause trouble.

About: I have been taking care of dogs almost every week on the weekends along with sitting for my neighborhood dogs, cats, birds and guinea pigs while they are on vacation or away from their home. I am comfortable feeding dogs, interacting with them and I love to give lots of love. I am familiar with giving medication’s to dogs if needed. Your animal will be in good hands as I will love them as my own. Whatever an owner needs for them and their dogs to be well cared for, I can accommodate. I work from home, so the dog will always be accompanied with me. we’ll have plenty of playtime, outside time and potty breaks. I provide at least 2 walks a day and several Potty breaks from 7 am up until 10 Pm. I have a fenced yard where they can play as they like and they can hang out inside as well. I am very interactive with the dogs and love to send pictures.

About: I bring a mix of patience, structure, and genuine care to every dog I work with. I’m confident with young pups who need consistency, and I’m equally comfortable supporting senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra gentleness. I work from home and can be fully present for your dog throughout the day. My schedule allows me to build in regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and check‑ins without rushing or squeezing things in. Your pup isn’t just “fit into my day” — they become part of it. I live in a house with a fully fenced yard, I’m able to give pets a safe, comfortable, and structured environment. Dogs get plenty of supervised outdoor time, space to explore, and a calm indoor area to relax. I keep routines consistent with what they’re used to — feeding schedules, potty breaks, crate time (if needed), and enrichment

Hazel had a great time, came home ate & still sleeping, I’ll need to wake her up in a few to take her potty & bed time for the night. Thank you very much Cheryl, we’ll see you next Friday. ??

About: I grew up on a ranch, so animals have been part of my daily life forever. I’ve cared for and trained all kinds of dogs—high-energy working breeds, stubborn geniuses, anxious sweethearts, and senior lounge pros. I’m big on calm structure, positive reinforcement, and keeping routines consistent. Walks, meals, playtime, basic manners, and lots of attention included. If your dog has quirks, I’ve probably met their twin. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day for potty breaks, walks, meals, and just general supervision. That also means your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches, and I can stick closely to whatever routine they’re used to. I’m responsive with messages and happy to send photo updates so you know your pup is doing great. If your dog has specific timing needs (feeding windows, meds, preferred walk times), just tell me and I’ll follow it. Safety is the priority. I have a big, fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and I’m careful about doors, gates, and leash use so nobody does an unplanned “see ya later” sprint. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and pay attention to body language to make sure everyone stays comfortable. I’m happy to separate dogs when needed (meals, rest time, or just different energy levels), and I’ll message you quickly if anything seems off. Photo updates included.

I have experience with puppies, including potty training, crate training, basic obedience, socialization, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m comfortable feeding, administering oral medications if needed, taking dogs on walks, providing exercise and enrichment, and recognizing changes in behavior that may indicate a dog isn’t feeling well. FAQs for Doggy Day Care - South Hill

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Hill on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,141 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across South Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Hill commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,141 sitters in South Hill, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
