“My dog had a small incident where he attempted to run away and odalys and her husband handled it so well even got injured making sure he didn’t run away I truly can’t thank both of these two for how they handled the situation and how professional they are and will definitely recommend them to people”
“Thank you Lord for guiding us to Diahann for her services. You knew how fearful we were to leave our sweet pea in the hands of others to watch while we are away. The comfort sweet pea displays with her brings comfort to our hearts as well. We are extremely grateful and blessed to have Diahann and her husband in our lives and look forward to future travels knowing sweet pea will be taken care of. Joseph and Julie Warner”

“Leslie was great with our pup. With this being our first time using Rover I was a bit nervous leaving our guy with someone. But Leslie allowed us to do a meet and greet with my pup and her and her dogs, and they hit it off great. It was comforting to know that he’d be treated with the same level of care as when he’s home. When the day finally came to leave him, my pup was nervous being left behind and I was nervous leaving him, but that anxiety was eased by regular updates with texts, a picture and a video. She really was amazing and her husband was pretty awesome too with supporting her. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again! Thank you Leslie for being so awesome with your care of my fur baby:)”
“I was so lucky to find Ashley! She is so kind and sweet to my Nui. He was so comfortable there. Til bed time, beautiful she wa so patient with him and wore him out! I am so blessed to have met you Ashlet. THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF NUI ASHLEY! Definitely will be using her again!”

About: **Meet and Greet Required for all New Clients** I am certified graduate from Animal Behavior College with over 15 years of experience caring and training dogs. I own Awakening Companionship, a positive reinforcement training business. Having worked professionally and personally with a variety of dog ages, breeds and personalities, I understand the importance of personalized pet care! I currently work from home as a graphic designer, except for one or two days a week subbing at SBL School District or when I see dog training clients. I do have two cats and three senior dogs, so staying close to home for their needs would align with any pet I am caring for. *New Clients must be crated trained!* This is to ensure safety around my other pets during feedings and sleeping/naps. For the safety of you fur- family, I ask that they are comfortable in kennels* I have a fully fenced shady back yard, two loving kids and three sleepy senior dogs to keep your fur baby company during their stay. There is ample space to play, train and explore! Exercise and mental play are important to a happy pet, so whether at your house or mine, we make sure to pack in the fun!
“Erika was wonderful with my little anxious dog. She made her feel comfortable and catered to her neediness. We received pictures and updates throughout her day wth Erika. We will definitely be returning clients.”

“Roger is a fantastic doggy darecare. My Shepsky loves going over to their house. Roger and his family treats our princess like their own. They are very friendly and trustworthy. Highly recommend!”

“I want to take an extra opportunity to give a great recommendation for Charlotte. . This daycare visit was a test drive prior to selecting Charlotte to provide our Macklins first overnight stay. Based on his excellent care, we also booked Charlotte for his weekend boarding.”

“Meredith took care of Genny during the day while we were having some home repairs completed. Genny had a great time, and came home tired after spending the day playing with “friends”. Meredith communicated promptly and sent pics of Genny having fun through the week. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Kristina was amazing with Nalo. We set up a meet and greet last week and she interacted with Nalo, gave him treats, and was even training him in that short time. He had his first day of doggie daycare yesterday and Kristina sent me video and pictures of Nalo throughout the day. Nalo is only 5 months but we are leaving for 3 days in a few weeks and were looking for someone we can trust to watch Nalo for 3 days. Nalo made friends, went on walks, and was pooped by the time he came home 😂 Thanks Kristina! So glad we found you!”

“Apollo had a great time at Hanna's house. He had so many other dogs to play with he came home totally worn out and slept the rest of the night. I will definitely be using Hanna's services again!”

About: I grew up on a ranch, so animals have been part of my daily life forever. I’ve cared for and trained all kinds of dogs—high-energy working breeds, stubborn geniuses, anxious sweethearts, and senior lounge pros. I’m big on calm structure, positive reinforcement, and keeping routines consistent. Walks, meals, playtime, basic manners, and lots of attention included. If your dog has quirks, I’ve probably met their twin. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day for potty breaks, walks, meals, and just general supervision. That also means your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches, and I can stick closely to whatever routine they’re used to. I’m responsive with messages and happy to send photo updates so you know your pup is doing great. If your dog has specific timing needs (feeding windows, meds, preferred walk times), just tell me and I’ll follow it. Safety is the priority. I have a big, fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and I’m careful about doors, gates, and leash use so nobody does an unplanned “see ya later” sprint. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and pay attention to body language to make sure everyone stays comfortable. I’m happy to separate dogs when needed (meals, rest time, or just different energy levels), and I’ll message you quickly if anything seems off. Photo updates included.
“Really nice and easy to work with. Friendly family. Listened to our long-winded instructions and guidance when we met about how to take care of our dog. Nice home with big backyard for our dog to play in. Communicative and sent photos. Our dog seemed super happy when we came to pick him up. Will be a regular =^_^=”

Lulu made my Dino feel right at home. He had an abundance of toys to play with. She kept me posted throughout the day so I never had any worries. This daycare visit was for Dino to get familiar with Lulu before a longer boarding stay. I am confident he will do well during the longer stay.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
