“This was our first time using Rover. We had someone set to take care of our cats for a week but a day before leaving on our trip they were admitted into the hospital and we weren’t sure for how long. I reached out to Leslie because I needed an emergency backup and thankfully she was available. We met up and went over everything the cats needed but it wasn’t until we landed in Seattle did we find out for sure that our first planned person was staying in the hospital even longer. Being thousands of miles away and having plans change like that was pretty stressful but Leslie was very understanding and professional! She stepped in and visited them twice a day, giving medicine to our kitten daily, feeding them, and hanging out and playing with them. Stormy, our kitten, loved having someone to play with while we were away and our older, usually standoffish cat Chloe even came out to see her and rubbed on her leg! She really made this potentially stressful trip into a perfectly care-free one because I knew the cats were well taken care of in her hands. Getting the pictures each day of the cats playing was really great, too! We will definitely be using Leslie in the future!”
“Jacklyn was fantastic! She sent us pictures everyday and was very communicative. We really appreciate her taking care of our girls in such a caring and thoughtful way.”

“Thank you, Mariko for taking great care of my 3 fur babies again while we were on our vacay! I loved seeing all the pics & I didn't worry at all about how they were doing back at home. They looked so happy! I truly appreciate everything you do! Thanks soooo much!”

“Nikki is awesome! We’ve been having her watch our cat over the last 2-3 years whenever we go on vacation! Always sends us a photo and lets us know how she’s doing! Our go to sitter every time!”

“My cat Charlee was content and happy when I arrived home after a 5 day vacation. Anna's daily visits made all the difference in keeping my cat feeling safe, secure & loved.”

“Loved my experience with this capable dog sitter! She spent her own time to come and meet and greet the dogs and make sure she became familiar with their set up and what they needed. She was punctual and gave great feedback about how the visit went. I will absolutely use her again! The dogs really like her!”

About: Pets have always been an important part of my life since I was a kid. I have had cats and dogs my entire life, I am 50 now. I have raised and trained many puppies & kittens and continued to care for them as they became seniors, some with health issues, such as cancer and kidney failure, that required special care and love. I love caring for pets as they rely on us for everything and I believe they should all be well taken care of and happy & healthy throughout their entire lives. We currently have a 15 year old cat that we rescued 11 years ago. Sadly, our dog recently passed or we would have one of each. I am truly an animal lover. I work from home selling baseball cards and collectibles so I have complete flexibility to care for your pets at the times that you and they need me. I have had pets my entire life so I am very familiar with the different care that each pet can need. They all have their own personalities and I am good with all types of animals. From high anxiety pets, I had my own, to the easy to care for and every kind in between. Whether it's your dogs or cats, I will care for yours as I have always cared for my own, with lots of love and attention.
“Susan was a great sitter for my two cats when I went on a week vacation. She took great care of them and gave them plenty of love when I was away. I enjoyed receiving lots of pictures of them each day and updates.”

“This was our third time booking Ariana for drop-in visits, and she continues to be amazing! Nickle and Dax are always so comfortable with her, and we have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in such caring and reliable hands. She’s communicative, dependable, and always sends the sweetest updates and photos. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely keep booking with her!”

“My dogs were happy when I got back home and seemed well cared for! I met with Christina before leaving out of town and she was so kind and you can tell she loves animals! I will be using her again in the future!”

“It was awesome knowing that our pets were being cared for. We didn’t worry a bit. Andrhu immediately made us feel comfortable leaving. He went above and beyond. I strongly recommend Andru to everyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.”

“Kelli was great with my pet and I would recommend her to anyone! She was very kind and professional when I met her for a meet and great to go over my pets needs. My cat is ill and requires medication daily and while I was gone I wanted someone who was familiar with administrating or able to give my cat his medication. I find that Kelli went above my expectations and I was so happy that I have a happy and healthy cat to come home to.”

About: I grew up helping to care for and walk my neighbors’ two elderly beagles, so I’m very comfortable with senior dogs. I have experienced in handling dogs who love to sniff and tug on the leash. Over the past few years, I’ve regularly walked a variety of dogs in my neighborhood, including those over 50 pounds, so I’m confident with larger breeds. I also have a dog of my own (Fox) a sweet Border Collie/Lab mix we’ve owned for 6 years. I’m open to working with all breeds and am comfortable walking dogs of all ages and energy levels. I’m a part-time student with a flexible schedule and open availability throughout the day. I’m happy to offer longer walks or multiple check-ins any day of the week except Thursday. I’m available as early as 8:30 AM and can schedule walks or drop-ins as late as 8:00 PM. When I’m caring for dogs in a client’s home, I do my best to make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home in their own space. I stick to their usual routine—whether that’s walk times, feeding, or just hanging out—to keep things familiar and low-stress. I’m always careful with doors, leashes, and anything safety-related, and I treat your home with respect, leaving things just as I found them. I take the time to get to know each pet and let them come to me when they’re ready. Whether your dog needs play, cuddles, or just someone to chill with, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - South Hill
Natalie was did some drop in visit with my babies for me and she was amazing!! 🥹 Our dog Thunder can be really shy and nervous and she took the time to make sure that he was comfortable with her and went potty each time! She fed our kitties and even cleaned up the mess from our special needs boy trying to eat! (He gets kibble everywhere). Constant pictures were sent which was gave me such peace of mind that our babies were well taken care of. Natalie even went above and beyond and did some of our dishes! We’re so looking forward to continuing to work with her! We have a 4 day housesitting job booked for the last week of the month and we couldn’t feel more at ease that she’ll take care of our babies the way we would. Thank you Natalie❤️❤️

I am so happy with the thoughtful care Mariko gave to our girls. We were gone a little more than a week and enjoyed seeing the videos, photos and updates she provided every day. She even watered our potted plants outside and brought into the house packages that were delivered during that time. I would highly recommend using her, especially if you have kitties like us.

Lexy was amazing! Our kitties LOVED her. Even our shy boy warmed right up to her. Lexy was a pro at providing meds and all care necessary to our kitties. I would recommend Lexy to anyone who has kitties that love some affection and or have any medical needs. She’s the best!

Samantha was great! On the last day of our trip our rascal pups got all muddy in the yard and she helped clean them up and make sure our home wasnt too dirty when we got back. We didnt ask, she was just helpful and thoughtful without a word or hesitation. Awesome!

Kelli did a great job checking in our cats everyday while we were on vacation. Our social cat befriended her quickly and she was even able to convince our other notoriously shy cat to come out for some attention. Kelli’s communication and daily photo updates were clear and thoughtful. Our cats appreciated the clean litter box and head scratches, we will be contacting her again whenever our next trip happens.

Leslie took great care of my Layla when I was gone for a full week. All the anxiety I had about leaving her behind was gone after seeing pictures and videos of her doing well. I feel so much better knowing that I have someone dependable to watch her if I have to leave town again.

Tabatha was our first go to again for taking care of our cats. She went the extra mile and was able to take care of them for three plus weeks through Christmas and New Years. We couldn't ask for better care and we were able to travel with a sound mind knowing Tabatha was taking care of our family. Highly recommended.

Raven took excellent care of our babies (cat, bird and fish) while we were gone for a week. She even created a little routine for my kitty that involved snuggle time while watching nature shows. I had zero anxiety knowing she was there and my pets were loved in our absence. And that is priceless. Thank you Raven!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
