For the Love of Dogs!
Available for last minute/odd schedule requests. I have been an animal lover all my life. On a personal level, I have always had dogs in my home and genuinely feel my best when caring for animals. Professionally, I have been taking care of animals for over 20 years. I began dog sitting when I was 15 on a part time basis and continued while in college and beyond. I began with small jobs such as checking in on a neighbors dog while they were out of town or walking local dogs while their parents were at work. Soon I had built quite a clientele and as I got older I became the go to person for anyone needing someone to socialize their pet. I have been working on a full time basis with animals for the past 4 years. Along with boarding and daycare in my home, caring for pets in their own environment and making sure they are getting daily attention and exercise, I also work in Animal Behavior Therapy, working with pups who have anxiety or aggression issues so I have a high level of experience working with doggies who have some special emotional needs. I have experience with puppies which is always lots of fun as well as extensive experience working with senior dogs and dogs with special needs or health issues. I have specific experience working with elderly dogs who have some of the more common signs of aging such as blindness, deafness, arthritis, dementia or “old dog syndrome” causing previous happy, friendly dogs to become agitated and volatile, sometimes getting nippy unexpectedly. I am able to administer medication as needed including injections and follow specific instructions to the letter. I also have experience with dogs who are disabled, paralyzed, have had a recent major surgery and are in recovery or are currently dealing with a major illness or health problem. I have degrees in Communications and Psychology from the University of Washington and am currently home full time giving me the ability to put your pet’s needs first and allowing my attention to be solely focused on making sure their emotional and physical needs are always taken care of. If you are looking for an experienced sitter available 24/7 to make sure your pets emotional and physical needs are always put 1st I am your sitter! I have a large home and a fully fenced back yard. My home is completely pet friendly and also pet safe, meaning all dogs are welcome! Your dog will have the run of the house if so inclined, however if that’s not where your dog is at I also have in place safety features for dogs who need to be crated, penned into a smaller area, gated for safety, etc. I am very detail oriented and I work tremendously hard to make sure every pet has the best experience possible and above all feels safe and secure at all times. I will go above and beyond and do everything possible to make sure my time with your pet is an extremely positive experience. Please make me aware of any and all personality traits or things that can hinder that relationship. First interactions and general behavior is extremely important in these cases and very dependent on what the issue is.

Kristen was truly amazing with Lucy and Oliver. We had never left them somewhere overnight before, let alone for an entire week, so saying we were nervous would honestly be an understatement. These dogs are our babies, and trusting someone else with them was a huge step for us. Before our trip, we slowly built a relationship with both the babies and Kristen through doggy daycare visits, and that made such a difference. Watching Lucy and Oliver get excited to see her every time helped calm our nerves more than she probably even realizes. Throughout the stay, she sent pictures, updates, and little stories that made us smile the entire trip. She kept us updated on all their quirky habits and chaotic little personalities, which definitely can be a lot sometimes 😂🤣 but it reassured us so much because it showed she genuinely got to know them, not just “the dogs she was watching.” They spent their days running around with their best friend Chessie, getting cuddles, playing nonstop, and honestly living their best little lives 🐾😂 When we picked them up, they came home happy, relaxed, loved, and so clearly well cared for. As dog parents, there’s honestly nothing more comforting than knowing your babies were safe, loved, and receiving so much attention while you were away. That peace of mind is priceless. You can tell Kristen has a genuine love for animals, and it reflects in everything she does. We’re beyond grateful for the care she gave Lucy and Oliver and would trust her with them again in a heartbeat. Safe to say the babies already can’t wait for their next “vacation” with Kristen and Chessie 🐾❤️

Kristen took such wonderful care of our boys while we were away in Australia. Being so far from home, it meant everything knowing they were safe, loved, and happy with someone we completely trust. It was also one of our boys 6th birthday while we were away, and Kristen went above and beyond to make it so special for him. She made sure he had the best day, bought him presents, and even wrapped them up for him to open! She kept us updated throughout the stay and gave us so much peace of mind. We’re so grateful once again for the amazing care she always gives our boys!
So thankful she was able to take Indy last minute and took great care of her as always. Lots of pictures and updates which keeps our anxiety down when we are away. Thank you!
We’ve now booked with Kristen for the 10th time, and she continues to be absolutely incredible with our two boys! She’s reliable, caring, and treats them like her own every single stay. We always feel completely at ease leaving them with her and they absolutely love staying with her and her dog Chessie!
I was honestly really nervous going into this since we’re new to the state and area. I’ve never left Lucy and Oliver with anyone besides their aunts, so this felt like dropping my kids off at their first day of school… there may have been tears 😂 These two are my babies, and they haven’t had much socializing outside of a few dogs here and there, so I was definitely stressed. But Kristen made the entire experience feel safe and reassuring from the very beginning. From the moment we connected, I could tell she truly has a natural love for animals. She is also so kind, which made such a difference. She was attentive, communicative, and just genuinely caring in a way that helped me relax. Both of my pups are very energetic and have those classic Frenchie personalities and energy 🤣 so they love to play… sometimes a little obsessively. And somehow, she handled them like a pro. She made sure they were comfortable, safe, and happy the entire time, and the updates meant everything to me. When I picked them up, they were so playful and clearly had the best time. They loved it. Honestly, I think they were a little mad I came back for them 😂 Seeing them that happy after being so worried says everything. It gave me so much peace of mind, and I would absolutely trust Kristen again without hesitation. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and truly caring. And for anyone who feels nervous about leaving their babies with someone new, I completely get it. I felt the same way. She is amazing. We will definitely be back.

I work entirely from home and am able to make my own schedule which is completely flexible, allowing me to be fully able to care for your pup 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. I am happy and willing to follow whatever schedule necessary to best fit your pet’s needs, including odd hours and last minute changes.

Like humans, all dogs are different, so I like to plan activities based on your dogs interests, personality and ability. If that means taking short, quiet, low key potty breaks often, some pets and attention or indoor tug of war that’s great! On the other hand, if you have a dog who enjoys a high energy power hike, followed by a major game of fetch in the park with maybe a light swim to end the day that sound great too! I am extremely versatile and able to set my schedule in whatever way works best so I am able to entertain pets in whatever fun and spontaneous ways are best for your pet!
