“Alyssa has done a wonderful job watching my pug Ella! I've appreciated that she's given me updates and it seems like my pug feels right at home and follows her around everywhere. Thanks for taking such good care of Ella!”

“Priscilla went above and beyond for caring for my pup, she picked her up and also aided in dropping her off, I will definitely use her services in the future!”

“My dog had a small incident where he attempted to run away and odalys and her husband handled it so well even got injured making sure he didn’t run away I truly can’t thank both of these two for how they handled the situation and how professional they are and will definitely recommend them to people”
“Molly has been amazing to my girl! She hosts her daily for doggy daycare with her crew of dogs and Finley fits right in. Throughout the day, Molly sends pictures to update me & even goes above and beyond by dropping Finley off home on the nights I work late. I am ecstatic that Finley gets to socialize with some furry friends during the day and I don’t have to worry about her while I’m working. I highly recommend Molly as she is passionate in caring for dogs and is very accommodating with her services!”

About: Hi there! My name is Chi and I'm a passionate and experienced vet tech with over nine years of experience. I have a deep love for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them—whether it's for an affectionate visit, a fun play session, or just a simple "hello." I'm also trained to handle emergencies, so you can have complete peace of mind knowing your furry family members are in the best hands. I'll make sure your pets are well taken care of and showered with love while you're away. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! Please just message me to see if I am free or not I will try to arrange your needs too. Can be really flexible with the schedule! I believe I have some knowledge of dogs and cats. If it’s shy ones I will not force them to come to me but to make sure they are safe. Also I have done quite a lot of CPR on dogs and cats and know how to deal with an emergency situation.
“Kate did a great job taking care of my cat and dog. Even though the cat was being spicy she was able to handle it and send me cute video updates throughout the day. Thanks Kate!”

“We left our two dogs with Dennis and Lynn for the day and they were in good hands. My dogs had fun and I will definitely be using them in the future! Great communication and updates.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies for over 12 years. It started when I was young, helping family and friends with their pets, and naturally grew into fostering both puppies and adult dogs. Today, I live with a ragdoll cat, two mini schnauzer doggies, and regularly foster dogs. My 2 senior cats that I grew up with currently live with my mom. Every dog or puppy I foster and have in my home learns routines and tricks based on their needs. I’ve helped with leash training, crate and potty training, managing toy reactivity, and teaching commands like sit, shake, and touch. My pets get plenty of playtime, structure, and love and yours will too. I’m careful with pet introductions and always prioritize comfort and safety. I understand every animal is different and will listen closely to your concerns to provide personalized care. I also love sending regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. I work from home, and I am pretty flexible on ensuring the care needed for your pet. I have a lot of time to spoil your pets! I have a fully fenced yard, and monitor pets when they are outside. I introduce pets slowly with positive association and ensure each pet is comfortable. I also have a fence to separate pets indoors if needed. When caring for friends/family's pets, I always ensure pets do not bolt out the door both when coming inside and leaving. When walking a pup, I always ensure their harness/collar is on correctly and have high reward treats/toys to ensure focus stays on me if there are distractions. I never overwhelm an animal and understand they take time to warm up, especially when it is my first time meeting them.

Our family always knows that their pets have a "home away from home" when they leave for vacations. I am currently working part-time. So, I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available weekdays and weekends. I can take care of dogs up to 15 pounds. I have a friendly dog Mochi to keep your fur baby company. He is Shih-Poo (Shih Tzu and Poodle mix). I can easily set up a crate for your dog if needed.
“Sara’s setup is fantastic. She’s not just watching your dog, but providing lots of activity and socialization so they can get all their zoomies and nibbles out before they come home. Her puppy and mine are best friends! I can tell he loves there, can’t rate highly enough.”

About: I've spent my entire life with large dogs, and I have extensive experience understanding their behaviors and body language. While I love small dogs too, my expertise lies primarily with larger breeds. I've worked in both shelters and clinics for several years and have had the privilege of assisting a few mama dogs in delivering healthy litters. Experienced with puppies, seniors, medication administration, and dogs requiring extra patience and individualized care. Your dog will have a great time while you're away! (Preferably dogs that are friendly with cats.) My home is spacious, providing plenty of room to play indoors and a full yard to play in. “Jessica is absolutely wonderful! I am so thankful to have found her to watch my puppy. From our first meet and greet to picking up, she kept me posted the entire time. Her communication is excellent. I knew my puppy was well taken care of, and as a pet parent, that’s what it’s all about. Without a doubt, I will have Jessica watch my pups again.”

“Leslie was great with our pup. With this being our first time using Rover I was a bit nervous leaving our guy with someone. But Leslie allowed us to do a meet and greet with my pup and her and her dogs, and they hit it off great. It was comforting to know that he’d be treated with the same level of care as when he’s home. When the day finally came to leave him, my pup was nervous being left behind and I was nervous leaving him, but that anxiety was eased by regular updates with texts, a picture and a video. She really was amazing and her husband was pretty awesome too with supporting her. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again! Thank you Leslie for being so awesome with your care of my fur baby:)”
“Noelle is amazing! I feel like Charlie had a vacay experience at a 5 star resort, with the benefit of her expert care and attentiveness. I appreciate her warm and detailed communication from our first interaction. Charlie was right at home and got to enjoy beautiful nature at and around her place. We were at ease knowing he was in great hands. Her love for animals is sincere and genuine. I’m so thankful to have found her!”

Marla was awesome! We were in the area on an RV trip and needed someone to look after our big dog for a day while we went into Seattle. Juneau was super comfortable from the get-go, and came home nice and tired. If I lived in the area I would definitely be a repeat customer!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fife commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
