About: I moved from Mi to Wa in 2015 and decided in 2018 to be a dog walker. That was in King county and after moving to a house in 2021, dog boarding turned into my new side job. Last year I also enrolled in Victoria Stilwell’s Academy for positive training. So I am very aware of dog’s body language and needs. I absolutely love dogs and they are truly my life now but when I was 8 that wasn’t the case. I was bit in the face by a family friend’s dog. He was old and on medication, I startled him awake which led to him biting me. From this incident, I watched Victoria Stilwell on animal planet to get over my fear of bigger dogs and here I am today with a certification in dog training and starting my career with human’s best friend. My goal is for you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible. I only treat dogs/pets as I would want someone to treat mine (and believe me I am a high maintenance pet mom 😉) Dogs are my job. Whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking; this is what I do full time. Sometimes I do Instacart to get out a bit but will do that when my boyfriend is home. I am starting up my bath bomb business again so to have a companion working alongside with me is my ideal work day. My boyfriend works from home majority of the time, so there is always someone home. His kids do come over 50% of the week and are very kind and helpful with dogs that are boarding with me. They are 12 and 11 so they aren’t little kids. I have lick mats, Kong Gyro, and plenty of space for your dog to have fun at my house. My house is fenced in, we are updating the property all the time to make sure it is safe as possible. For larger dogs, I have a bell on a ziptie to put on your dog’s collar just so I can hear where they are at all times when I am outside with them. For smaller pups, I always go outside with them due to being in an open area so they are safe. I also have a 30’ leash that I can hook them to for extra safety. Inside, I make them as comfortable as possible. Whatever they like at home I try my best to provide at my house.

In addition to unabashedly doting on Filbert and taking him for a walk (which, as she knew, was at her own peril as he's leash-reactive) she helped me navigate Rover's byzantine scheduling interface and obtained a refund for me after even Rover's "Help" support messed up the visit. (Apparently they also struggle w/ the system!) All-in-all, I'm not sure who enjoyed who's company more, but I could definitely tell our Filbert was sorry to see her go and we're both looking forward to Christy's next visit.”

About: I've had dogs for 15 years and grew up with cats. I have taken care of family and friends pets including chickens, cats and dogs. We have dog sat in our home as well as done drop ins. I am available for drop in visits that include potty breaks and feeding. I am comfortable giving medications if needed. I currently work remote with the ability to work my own hours. This gives me the flexibility to care for your fur babies as needed. Having two bloodhounds I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to watch your fur babies. I like to provide updates with pictures and progress reports. I also prefer to have a meet and greet prior to make sure it's a good fit all around.

About: I’ve never understood why chihuahuas loved me so much until I realized how much people don’t respect the boundaries of such small creatures. So much so, they feel the need to be aggressive and defend themselves! I know a good amount about dogs and dogs breeds, how different breeds have different needs and will strive to meet the needs of your fur-baby! I am a full-time Master’s student, but my classes are on weekends only. I have many things to read so overnights would likely be spent playing with your fur-baby before I get some reading done for my degree. To make sure you and your fur-baby feel safe with me in your home, I will make sure to talk through routines you may have with your pet(s). I know how hard it is to be away from your pet, so I will make sure to send photos and videos as requested. I want to make sure I know how to properly care for your pets, so I may have a couple extra questions to figure out how I may support you and your pet.

About: Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom of a human baby and two fur babies. I previously worked in upstate NY for a dog training company, My Dog Hikes, as a dog hiker where we took dogs from NYC into the woods for full day dog-care fun. Because of this I am comfortable giving medication and using training commands. I also have a Cattle Dog (Clayton) and Black Lab mix (Tarzan) of my own. I would love to take your little ones on the trails, play fetch in the yard, or just snuggle on the couch with lots of pets. I have a very open schedule so can work around any timeframe you need! As childcare is very expensive, please note before booking me that my son, Eli (3), will be joining me on my jobs. We can always meet beforehand to see if it's a good fit! Additionally - I do not accept requests for recurring weekly services and prefer them to be sporadic. As I am a stay-at-home mom your typical work week is when I am available. I can be flexible around your schedule! I can also stop by to spend some time with your pets on the weekend, so you can go enjoy a trip away. (: I do not care for dogs in my own home as my Lab does not like other dogs. In your home, however, I take care to follow all instructions closely! I take many pictures so prepare for cuteness overload. I also have experience working with a dog training/walking company in NYC and am comfortable with a wide array of needs.

For dogs, I’m happy to adjust walks and playtime based on whether they enjoy longer, more active outings or prefer a slower pace with plenty of time to sniff and explore. For drop-in visits or house sitting, I make sure food, water, medications, potty breaks, litter boxes, and any other care instructions are handled exactly as requested. With cats, I respect their space and let them decide how much interaction they want, while still making sure they receive plenty of attention and care.

About: Hiya, I'm electrical apprentice inbetween jobs and eager to get some nature time in with some new doggos. I'm accustomed to walking more than 7 miles a day and love hiking with my own girl, Lucy. From horses and donkeys, to rabbits and dogs, I've been caring animals my whole life. Grew up training our family dogs as AKC therapy dogs, but now I focus on mental and physical enrichment for Lucy. I love dogs and working with them to provide them with the most beneficial walking experience in whatever way that looks for each individual dog. I'm experienced with high energy/anxious dogs, though I love working with a variety of energy levels. I do prefer medium to large dogs, but I'm open to new experiences with smaller ones. I have pretty flexable availability except Thursdays. I will require a meet and greet before committing to any bookings. I prioritize my dogs mental and physical enrichment through games, exercises courses, hiking, anything really that engages her mind and body. I am currently not looking to walk new dogs with my girl, but im not opposed to group walks in the future if I find dogs with compatible energy.

About: Growing up my family had a yellow lab and many members of my extended family also had dogs. As I got older and became independent, I would dog sit for my families’ pets. The dog sizes range from small dogs to bigger dogs and at various stages of their lives. I now live with my boyfriend who has a Great Pyrenees and a Goldendoodle. When dog sitting, I enjoy taking them out on walks, playing in the yard, and cuddling. I just moved to Tacoma and am still job hunting, and while that requires a lot of time, my days are free and flexible to meet you and your dog’s needs. I am good at following directions and can adapt to your dog. I have taken care of a senior dog where he required medicine at meal times. I enjoy taking walking with the dogs and giving them lots of attention.

About: Hi! I grew up locally on Fox Island with my family. We’ve always had 1-2 dogs at a time from puppy to elder. I’ve always taken on the responsibility that comes with dogs from a young age to now - feeding, play time, walks, cleaning and overall care. I have been active on Rover for the last four years and currently operate my own LLC. I reside in a quiet neighborhood at a dead end street with my six year old son - who is also great with dogs! My house includes a large fully fenced backyard - plenty of room for running, ball tossing and lounging. I have a flexible remote schedule which allows for ample potty breaks, outdoor time as well as extra care and attention! I am home with dogs for a majority of the time and generally do not leave them unattended for more than an hour for school drop-off, pickup, and local errand running. I use interior cameras and local pet sitters to accommodate dog schedules and monitoring if needed as well. I host multiple client’s pets at a time and am only taking on dogs that are friendly and get a long with other dogs. I do not currently have any pets of my own and have added interior cameras to monitor dogs if I’m away. I work with two local sitters as well to accommodate additional outdoor time, play time and potty breaks.

About: I have taken care of dogs since my childhood, both my family dogs and those of friends and neighbors. I am comfortable giving oral medications as my dog takes daily oral medication. I have also watched our friends and neighbors cats since I was a teenager and know how special it is when they take a liking to you. My schedule is very flexible as I am currently between jobs after moving! Even when I start working it will be 3-4 days a week. My dog is not always dog friendly so I will not be bringing her on any walks. I can follow any specific directions you have about your pet as they are all unique!

About: Hello!I am looking for work helping out with your animals:) I am incredibly comfortable with both cats and dogs, as I have grown up with both and was tasked from a younger age as one of their main caretakers. While I do not have any animals living with me now, as I am early in my career with a seasonal environmental job, I would love to spend some time with a dog or cat and help out when needed! Having had two anxious bigger dogs growing up, I am very familiar with meeting the needs and navigating spaces with animals of different capacities in mind. I am around for any overnight needs and would love to support with good care when needed or with walks outside! I am working in a part-time position and have a roughly shifting schedule every week. I have the most availability on weekends (sat-sun) for walks, care, or overnight boarding! For the weekdays, I will have a good idea of what I will be staffing that week by the Thursday before and would keep you in the loop of when I could come by/care for your animal! I value giving notice and being a reliable addition to your life for good stable care for your animals! I live right next to Wright park and love a good walk! I believe in using this time in this service to enrich your pet’s life and am looking forward to getting to know them and engage with them! My apartment is ready for pets (as I have planned to adopt or foster dogs/cats but am holding off while I am in my current position). I am very comfortable with more anxious/aggressive presenting dogs, as I grew up with a few and feel confident in implementing differing strategies to get them comfortable and manage them while giving them experiences to be outside.
