“Our three girls love Erica coming to visit. They get so excited when we say “Erica is going to come see you today”. Rover card is helpful and always good information. She makes sure the girls have fresh water and are safely back in their area. We love the help Erica provides!”

“I know my girl is always in good hands with Juli! She’s very caring and always sends great updates and pictures. I won't hesitate to have her check in on Nala again in the future.”

“Elizabeth was amazing with my cat, she followed directions and was respectful in my house, my cat looked very happy and was well taken care of, will definitely be booking her again!”

“Rachel is wonderful with our kitty. She is communicative and considerate. She tries to play with Stormy, gives her treats, feeds her, and cleans up after her, and is a great relief that we have her to pet sit when we go out of town. I’d highly suggest her.”

“Emily was wonderful with our cats! She sent a note and pictures everyday for us. I would highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again when we need to be gone.”

“Tobi took great care of my kitty, Disco, while I was out of town for a week, sending me a picture or two with each visit along with a brief note on how things were going. Disco takes some regular oral meds in Pill Pockets and Tobi handled that just fine. Disco gives her two paws up and I’ll reach out to Tobi again when I need kitty care.”

“Alyssa was absolutely incredible! She set up a meet and greet the day prior to come over and get to know my dog Sailor, and to introduce herself to my family since im not at home to meet her in person. Everything went smoothly and we were officially booked for the next day! She arrived on time and spent every minute available playing fetch with my dog and took to giving her commands very easily. She was very enthusiastic during playtime which I know my dog loved! Planning to book again in the future no doubt about it”

“Carrie did an incredible job taking care of my cats while I was out of town!! They were so relaxed when I got home! I know it’s because they were spoiled! I would absolutely recommend Carrie to any pet lover on Rover! She’s great, my cats loved her!”

About: I moved from Mi to Wa in 2015 and decided in 2018 to be a dog walker. That was in King county and after moving to a house in 2021, dog boarding turned into my new side job. Last year I also enrolled in Victoria Stilwell’s Academy for positive training. So I am very aware of dog’s body language and needs. I absolutely love dogs and they are truly my life now but when I was 8 that wasn’t the case. I was bit in the face by a family friend’s dog. He was old and on medication, I startled him awake which led to him biting me. From this incident, I watched Victoria Stilwell on animal planet to get over my fear of bigger dogs and here I am today with a certification in dog training and starting my career with human’s best friend. My goal is for you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible. I only treat dogs/pets as I would want someone to treat mine (and believe me I am a high maintenance pet mom 😉) Dogs are my job. Whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking; this is what I do full time. Sometimes I do Instacart to get out a bit but will do that when my boyfriend is home. I am starting up my bath bomb business again so to have a companion working alongside with me is my ideal work day. My boyfriend works from home majority of the time, so there is always someone home. His kids do come over 50% of the week and are very kind and helpful with dogs that are boarding with me. They are 12 and 11 so they aren’t little kids. I have lick mats, Kong Gyro, and plenty of space for your dog to have fun at my house. My house is fenced in, we are updating the property all the time to make sure it is safe as possible. For larger dogs, I have a bell on a ziptie to put on your dog’s collar just so I can hear where they are at all times when I am outside with them. For smaller pups, I always go outside with them due to being in an open area so they are safe. I also have a 30’ leash that I can hook them to for extra safety. Inside, I make them as comfortable as possible. Whatever they like at home I try my best to provide at my house.
“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“We were lucky to get Noelle to take care of our two cats while we were away for Thanksgiving! She followed our instructions to a T - came in the right time window, made sure they were both OK, sending us pictures while we were gone, etc. She even managed to track down our elusive shy kitten for pictures. A+, would book again! Thanks Noelle!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ruston
Ella went above and beyond this holiday weekend. Our kitty girl looked real happy in her photos and was well take care of! I want to shout Ella out for being respectful as well— I got a notification our front door was jammed (meaning not completely locked) after one of her visits. Wonky door. I didn’t realize until later but she was so quick to turn around and come to back to fix it for us. Looking forward to booking her again. Thanks Ella!

Brooke is such a wonderful person and blessing to us. Brutus and I are so glad we found her. She takes great care of my best friend and it shows. I am hesitant to write this review, I’m not sure we can share her :) She’s easy to chat with, punctual and even gives my my guy his snackies before going out the door. We appreciate her and think she’s the best.

Our cat loved Tobi immediately and he usually runs away from new people. Tobi spent quality time with our cat Sansa and took the time to feed, brush and take care of all his needs. We have never had strangers take care of our beloved pets before and we were weary at first but after the great care Tobi provided we are sold on Rover and would definitely recommend Rover and Tobi for your pets.

Lesley watched Cuervo while I was out of town for 2 1/2 weeks and did an amazing job of taking care of him. She brought him extra treats and really devoted her time when she was at my place to make sure Cuervo got love and attention! She really put my mind at ease while I was out of town. She’s the best!

Rachel is incredible! She is reliable, punctual and very communicative which is so helpful for our peace of mind when we have to leave small dog. Most importantly I felt she really took care to love on Oliver and give him the attention he needed and took good care of him. She has watched Oliver for a couple of times for us and she was flexible and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend Rachel!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
