I've been a professional pet sitter on Rover since March 2022 and have multiple repeat clients and over 200 5-star reviews. I specialize in cats. Before pet sitting professionally, I often cared for the pets of friends and family members when they were gone because I am a known animal lover and extremely reliable and pay attention to detail. I've been an animal lover my entire life. I grew up with cats and dogs in my household and when I was 12, my parents got me a puppy of my own to raise and train - a Cocker Spaniel named Josie. I became obsessed, subscribing to Dog Fancy magazine, getting books at the library about dogs, how to care for them and train them. We also had an orange tabby cat named Morris, who slept on my pillow by my head every night. When I moved out of the house as a young adult, I got a cat of my own, Kidder, and raised him from 1.5 years old to 16, when he passed away from cancer after also battling kidney disease. Within a few months, I got a pair of 2 year old littermates, two black cats - Warren and Derek. Warren unfortunately passed away too young from lymphoma a few years ago, and sadly, Derek passed away from oral cancer in January 2024. Two new kittens arrived into my life in October 2024, siblings named Harriet and Alfred. I have volunteered with PAWS shelter in Lynnwood, WA. I was a wildlife care assistant and was responsible for prepping food, feeding rescued animals, cleaning enclosures and the facility, and any other tasks that needed to be done. Friends and family always know that I am an animal lover, and that I am responsible and attentive. So when anyone needs pet care while they are out of town or are having a long day at work, I am the person to call. I will check in, feed, and care for your cats, and possibly your dogs and exotic animals depending on the circumstance. I have also fed backyard chickens and cared for baby ducks. I will feed special diets like raw food, clean the litterbox, brush, water plants, fill birdfeeders, bring in mail, open and close curtains, etc. I can communicate as little or as much as you'd like - I always snap pictures and send them to you while you're on vacation or at work. Regarding medication: I have no problem following specific instructions about adding medication to food or hiding it in a treat. If your pet requires oral medication to be administered, I may able to do this without a problem, but only offer it on a case to case basis in case your pet is extremely resistant to being pilled. And while I have delivered injections and subcutaneous fluids to one of my cats before, I am not offering that service at this time.
