“Minh was great dropping in a couple times to check in with our pups while we were out all day for an event. We really appreciated the updates and absolutely loved the photos and videos of our pups. We can tell how much they loved her! We would definitely consider booking Minh again in the future! I know our dogs would love to see her again. Thank you soooo much Minh!”

“Rose was wonderful! She gave the cutest updates about our little eggy and took photos to add! Not only did she clean our litter box daily but she also brought in our packages we got, how nice is that!? We would recommend her for sure and she’ll be our go to for our next trip without our kitty!”

“Sara is truly just the best! We were gone for a week on vacation and anxious about leaving our fur babies but Sara sent us all the updates and pictures and it was so nice to fully relax knowing they were in capable and loving hands! We have three and they can be quite the handful and Sara truly went above and beyond with everything. Thank you, Sara! ❤️ we are so grateful for you!”

“Provides exceptional service to our pups. She sends us great pictures, descriptive updates, and offers to do more than what was initially requested. Our dogs love Heather. She treats them like they are her own, and we could not be more grateful!”

“Abbie did an amazing job watching my little pupper :) She had EXCELLENT and prompt communication and gave detailed reports every day. She was always on time and ver reliable and trustworthy. I felt at ease knowing my maltipoo Leo was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

She gave me total peace of mind while I was gone. I will absolutely be using her again ❤️ I highly recommend Marissa!!”

“Emily is literally the best. She is so engaging with the dog. During drop-ins, she actually plays and interacts with Kenzai rather than “just checking in”. Kenzai absolutely adores Emily. She’s his best friend!! Emily is incredibly respectful, professional, and kind.”

“Issana was great with my girls! She came in time and stayed until the girls did their business and got some exercise. I was happy to hear she worked with my overly energetic dog and practiced sits. I will definitely use her again!”

“Skyler is a wonderful pet sitter for our three babies. She is always on time and informs me promptly on how the visit goes. It’s comforting knowing our babies are in good hands.”

About: About me: I’m new to Rover, but I’ve had dogs my entire life and I’m very familiar with their needs. I just moved to Tacoma from SLC. I’m a part-time college student at the moment, so I’ve got a pretty open schedule. If your dog loves attention, I love to give it! Cuddling and pets are my speciality, but I can do anything else they may need (going on walks, playing, feeding, etc.). I’m familiar with all types of personalities, nervous or cranky dogs don’t bother me. I’m doing college classes part-time, so my schedule is pretty open! I also accept same-day bookings. Mornings and mid-day are usually always open, and I will let you know if afternoons are available based on the day/time. If you’re going out of town or just staying late at the office, I’d be happy to look after your furry friend while you’re gone. I can feed them, spend time with them, or take them on a walk.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, have years of experience dog sitting, and even had my own little dog-walking business as a kid! I currently have three dogs of my own, from puppy to senior. As a homeschool mom, my schedule is very flexible! We’re home throughout the week and I can easily work walks and drop-ins around our homeschool schedule. I’m available during many of the hours when traditional work schedules can make pet care difficult. I’m a longtime dog owner myself, and safety is always my priority. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, exercise, love, and care while they’re with me. 🐾
“Marlene is great! She was quick to respond and our dogs loved her at the meet and greet so we knew she would be a great fit. Each visit she has been on time and send photos and updates to let me know how the dogs are doing. We definitely plan on using her as our go-to dog sitter!”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Elana is fantastic - she is a great communicator and I can count on her to be there. She’s been flexible when we need her and she takes great care of our pup. Thanks so much for everything Elana!”

“We were lucky to get Noelle to take care of our two cats while we were away for Thanksgiving! She followed our instructions to a T - came in the right time window, made sure they were both OK, sending us pictures while we were gone, etc. She even managed to track down our elusive shy kitten for pictures. A+, would book again! Thanks Noelle!”

About: Dog loving family includes wife who is a vet tech. Love to exercise dogs as well as stimulate dogs minds with games and interaction. Our pets our part of our family, just how we would treat your dogs! We love to go for walks along a local trail down to the beach. We take our dogs on 4-5 mike walks each day. We have dogs that range from 5 years old to 13 years old so we can handle high energy dogs as well as senior dogs who have special needs. Our goal is to make sure that when your dog stays with us, they leave for your home tired from a fun packed day. Let us take care of your dogs as we would treat ours!
“Nate took great care of my really difficult cat. I have had prior sitters tell me she gave them issues like hissing/growling or swatting if they got too close, but that didn’t happen with Nate. I noticed when I got back home she was a lot less anxious and aggressive than she usually is when I return and that is purely due to Nate’s excellent care.”

Sara is amazing! She took such great care of our two cats while we were away. They got plenty of playtime, and she made sure they were fed the right amount of food. The photos she sent us with her updates were also great and very personalized. It was so nice getting to see how they were doing while we were gone. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies! ❤️

Kayla is absolutely fantastic! This was our first time utilizing rover and she made the experience so easy and stress free! She is very sweet, honest and transparent. We would get constant updates and pictures, even bonus tips on our pet. We will definitely contact Kayla again!

Deborah is clearly a dog lover. She has a lot of experience not only working professionally with dogs but also clearly as a dog owner and lover herself. My pup Josie and I met her for the first time today for a drop-in and Deborah clearly loves dogs and knows how to connect with them. My pup was instantly at ease with her and spent a good long time playing fetch. All in all a great experience.

Brittany and Maddison provided exceptional care for our two dogs during their drop-in visits. They were consistently punctual, spent the full 30 minutes each time, and gave Freddie and Ellie plenty of attention and affection. After each visit they sent some photos and short narrative explaining how the visit went. It’s clear they are knowledgeable and genuinely care about the dogs they look after. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking reliable and compassionate pet care.

Sue took such wonderful care of my little dog! It’s always hard leaving your pup with someone new, but she made the entire experience so comfortable and reassuring. She was attentive, communicative, and clearly very caring. I could tell my dog felt safe and loved. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
