“Minh was great! She took amazing care of my dog, was very responsive and sent me fun pictures and updates while I was away. I came home to a very happy boy so I couldn’t be happier!”

“Christina was a great sitter. Very communicative about any issues as well as just giving updates about visits. A true pet lover. Will be rebooking in the future!”

“We love Heather so much! She watched our two dogs and cat for 5 nights, and took such good care of all of them. She has great communication, attention to detail, sends updates and photos, and most of all is sweet and kind with our animals. Our reactive dog loves her calm demeanor. Thanks, Heather!”
About: I have lived with animals most of my life. While I currently do not own a pet, I have continued to surround myself with the animals of my friends and family. I started cat-sitting 2 years ago. When I pet sit, I aim to ensure a great experience for my furry friends. I am currently working part-time as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) and am flexible in my hours. I am currently a part-time Occupational Therapist, so I have flexibility in my schedule to take care of your furry friend. I have my own transportation as well. I work hard to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your animal in their home environment. A detailed description of your animal's needs is much appreciated.
“Katey was amazing. She was very communicative and attuned to my pets needs and personalities. She was reliable and I came home to happy pets. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Wow!! We have been using Rover for 10 years and Megan is our first "perfect" sitter. She is super communicative, sends pictures with excellent little daily write ups that arent too short or too invasively long/frequent, and followed our instructions to a T. My neighbor even remarked that my dog seemed happy and content when she spotted them walking the lake together. I came home to a perfectly clean house - Megan had even washed and remade the guest bed and laid out her clean towels! The house also smelled heavenly with the dinner she had made before I arrived home; she must be a great cook. Even my plants had all thrived and seemed to be very happy and growing. If the plants are happy too, you know that you found a gem! ;) Not once did Megan call or text me with an emergency or needing help with small little idiosyncrasies when staying in a new home. She was incredibly self sufficient, reliable, and respectful of my home - but also great about communicating her needs upfront during our consultation, or asking permission via text while I was away. Truly a perfect sitter. I highly recommend you book with her.”

“Stephanie goes above and beyond to take care of our pups. Communications is great and send multiple pictures with a detailed report every day. We are extremely happy with her services!”

“Brittany & Megan watched our three dogs which is not an easy task! They are amazing communicators sending pictures and videos multiple times a day which made our 7 year old very happy! We came home to a clean house and three happy pups! I would highly recommend them and hope they can watch our pups again!”

“Skyler did an amazing job with our pups! We don’t leave our dogs overnight often but with a great sitter like Skyler, we felt at ease leaving. They enjoyed her company and her walks with them and her cuddles. Skyler was very communicative and respectful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dog care!”

“Emily was the perfect sitter for our pup! She was responsible and responsive, left our house without a trace of her being there, and was thoughtful and loving to our dog. We'll be hiring her again soon!”

“Mollie was a delight to work with, responsive and pro-active through the entire process. Our incredibly shy kitty, who has previously hidden from all outside caretakers, was taking a treat from Mollie on night one. Out more outgoing boy spent most of his time on Mollie's lap and was a chatterbox about his fun time when we got home. Knowing both our kitties and our home was in excellent hands is a great relief.”

“Shania was an amazing dog sitting for my anxious older dog. She had great communication and patience when meeting her and kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My dog is very anxious and Shania made it much easier for Lily and made her so comfortable. She took Greta care of Lily and will be using her in the future.”

“EJ's attention to detail was exceptional. She thoroughly reviewed the information about Tessie, asked questions, and made sure that she understood Tessi's routine, and the house. Tessie had a medical emergency that required a visit to the vet. EJ handled the issue proffessionaly and compasionately and made sure the Tessie got the proper treatment, kept me informed, and followed up with the appropriate treatment when they returned home. Tessie is doing well. Tessie was well cared for while I was away. The house was spotless. EJ was exceptional.”

“Willa has been fantastic as a stay in sitter! Willa is collaborative and gives plenty of updates. She exercises my pup frequently and more than enough! What a delight to work with. ☺️”

About: I have been a cat owner for 6 years and a dog owner for a year. Had many pets (dogs and cats) in my childhood. I often watch friends animals when needed. I am very responsible and always on time. I will love your pet and give it the very best care. I am also available to pet sit for your home and check in on them in the evenings and early mornings. Im going to offer my services outside of my home due to two very territorial cats. Will provide the very best service and love in their environment. I am a stay at home mom trying to find work around my kids school schedule. I am available to do drop in feeds and walks or pee breaks during the day and night. I am not interested in having any dogs in my own home. I would love to care for your pet in its own comfortable environment while you are away. I will provide snuggles, playtime and walks to keep your pet happy.
“Holly watched our pup and our home for an extended house sitting stay. She was very respectful and kept the home tidy as well as kept our dog company. We’ve used Holly for several months and will continue to do so in the future! Thanks again Holly!”

Your pets will be treated the same way as I treat my own -- with discipline, deserved treats, high expectations and a chew toy or two.
“Brooklyn was our first Rover experience, she did a meet and greet in advance with our house and pets. A month later, Brooklyn bonded with our brood during the first day, sent lots of pictures and updates during our trip. She was very thorough with her caretaking and left our home exactly as she found it. I would highly recommend Brooklyn for cats and dogs (oh and she fed the hummingbirds for us too)!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dash Point
Jessica is awesome, and so is George! Our dog Bria is very much a home body and picky about the humans she chooses to befriend. Bria and Jessica did great together, and Bria loved playing with George! Jessica communicates well and was a pleasure to work with. We would not hesitate to use Jessica again. Bria said it's okay, and she's the one we are trying to please! :-)

Sophia was very attentive to our little kitten. He is a ball of energy and as a single kitten, we worry about him being stressed or lonely while we are away. After a poor experience with a previous sitter, I wanted to find someone who understands cats and who would make him feel comfortable. Sophia did just that! I will definitely be looking to her for future kitty sitting :)

Danitra did so well with our animals and was very accommodating. This was our first time having a pet sitter at all, and we were concerned initially because our dogs aren't very sociable, but she did a great job winning them over and going the extra mile making them comfortable and keeping us in the loop too.

Linda was a fantastic sitter, we appreciated her excellent communication and perfect follow through, with all the complications of our trip it was so nice knowing that our pups and home were cared for so well. Linda was above and beyond and will be our go to for all future plans. Thank you Linda!

If I could give 10 stars I would! Becky is so awesome and the kids were bummed that it was just us coming in through the door. She taught our one doggy door scared son how to go thru the door and we are so appreciative! She kept us in the loop on all the happenings and we will be definitely be using her again. Thank you so much Becky!

Brianna did a great job house sitting for our 3 dogs. Showed up on time, great attitude, cares for animals, even checked in often on our old girl who doesn’t leave a bedroom when we’re not home. She made me feel comfortable and able to enjoy my time away knowing the dogs were in good hands. Would recommend her for your floofs!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Dash Point on Rover is $68.7 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 7,985 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dash Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dash Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dash Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dash Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
