“Emily is the kindest, best walker EVER! My puppy LOVED her and it was a if they'd known each other forever. I felt so safe leaving her knowing she'd have a great day. Emily also kept up my training, so when my puppy came back to me, she was even better at walking on leash.”

“I have nothing but positive words and gratitude for Audrey! I have two very different dogs, one is super anxious and hyper and another timid and mellow. So they are both not so great with strangers, but they took to Audrey right away, which made me feel so much better about having somebody else take care of my dogs, as it's not something I do often. I really appreciate how great Audrey is at communicating. And I can tell that she pays individual attention to each of my dogs and caters to their very different needs. And a cherry on top of all the amazing time Audrey has spent with my dogs is that she takes really (really!!) good pictures! I just love seeing how happy my puppies are during their walks from the pictures that Adurey takes.”

“We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible care and attention you’ve consistently given to our dog. Your communication has always been clear and in a timely manner! You're super friendly, not to mention your dependability has been so comforting for us. We appreciate you always letting us know whether or not you're going to be late in a timely manner so we never have to worry if you're coming or not. Our pup can be quite timid at times, but your gentle approach and calm presence have truly helped him feel safe and happy. It’s clear he really enjoys his time with you, and we’re so grateful for the trust and bond you’ve built with him. Thank you for being such a reliable and compassionate part of his routine. We appreciate you more than words can say!”

“FANTASTIC! Megan made the arrangements of walking our old man (Labrador) while we went out of town so easy. She is clearly a natural with animals, to include dealing with my elderly mother. Thank you Megan!!!!!”

“Mariana is wonderful. She has been so amazing with my dog Winston. She is very sweet and attentive to him and I feel good being away knowing that he is in her care. She also communicates well, sends pictures and updates, shows up on time, and is flexible too as she was able to help me with a last minute request outside of her reoccurring walks. 10/10 would recommend her for dog walking and pet care.”

About: I've had dogs and cats literally all my life, and I can't imagine my life without them. i find dog and cat behavior fascinating! I've owned, cared for, fostered and rescued dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and even horses. I've volunteered at Pasado's Safe Haven and at Seattle Humane. I share my home with a senior dog and a senior cat, so I know how to handle and care for senior pets. Sam, my dog, is mostly deaf now, so I've become adept at communicating with body language and hand signals, and I'm experienced with administering oral and topical medication. My knowledge, gained from years of hands-on care, and my patience will ensure that your doggo or kitty will be in good hands. I am retired and extremely flexible, so you can be sure I will meet your scheduling requirements, and I pay close attention to any special diets, preferences and routines. I'm retired and have a pretty flexible schedule from mid-morning through the evening. I have a reliable vehicle -- 2, if you count my husband's ;^) I'm a native northwesterner, so I have appropriate clothing for all weather! I'll take notes during our phone call or meet-&-greet, so I'll know exactly what I need to do to keep your pet happy. Or, if you already have written instructions, we can review them to make sure I understand everything. I'll want to be sure I know about likes and dislikes at home and on walks, as well as any behavior issues, such as reactivity.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dash Point
Zoe was an excellent petsitter and truly went above and beyond. She was very friendly, flexible and responsible. She made sure to communicate to me of any incidents or concerns, and made sure that my pups were doing well at all times. She provided me with daily updates such as when she arrived, how my pups were doing, and made sure to take many pictures. She was very kind and cleaned up any accidents, which she did not have to do, so I really appreciate that. She was always on time everyday as well. I also really appreciate that she wrote detailed reports of all of the dog walks, which allowed me to know furthermore how my pups were doing. Overall, Zoe was the sweetest person and did a perfect job. I would totally recommend her with anyone and I would love to book with her soon!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
