About: I have owned dogs since I was 8, I helped watch the neighbors dogs growing up. I currently have two dogs and I also work with a foster organization. Since August we have successfully helped 7 foster dogs find new homes. We have puppy potty training down and have started working with one of our dogs for service dog certification. I am a SAHM and homeschool my children. We are home all day and will make sure that dogs are walked and well cared for. Dogs will be able to roam the house and fenced yard. We will take them for daily walks or runs if they enjoy running. We have multiple crates that can be set-up in different locations so that the dogs have their own space to go to if needed. We work from home so adding a pet is easy. There is usually someone home so your dog will not be alone. We are a pet loving family who will love your dog like they are ours during the stay. I have a fenced yard for the dog to play. I always separate the dogs during feeding time and we give them one-on-one time with us.
“Our yellow lab Rosie had the best time! She got plenty of walks and attention, and Rose even helped clean up and take care of a little skin irritation while we were gone. We came home to a super happy pup and couldn’t be more grateful!”

“Lauren is a natural animal whisperer and very communicative! Yoshi is leash reactive and does not have the best recall, yet he came back to Lauren when called, and he has never done that in the six years he's been with me when he escapes (he is a Houdini baby). I appreciate Lauren sending 3-4 pictures per walk too. Highly recommend Lauren!”

About: Dog and cat lover with lots of energy & experience! 🐶 🐱 Hi! I currently live with two golden retrievers, so I’m used to lots of dog hair, big smiles, and even bigger energy. I love being outside, going on long walks, and I’m quick on my feet which is perfect for keeping up with playful pups! I’ve spent plenty of time caring for dogs and cats of family and friends, whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, or just hanging out and giving belly rubs. I’ll treat your dog and/or cat like one of my own and make sure they’re happy, safe, and well-loved while you’re away. Need to take a weekend trip without your pup? As a recent grad looking for my next adventure, I have a lot of flexibility with scheduling drop ins, walks, and house sittings. I know every pet is different, and I’m all about making sure they feel comfortable and cared for in their own home. I always treat your pet and your space with the same respect I’d want for my own. Making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved is my top priority!
“Mary is the best! She is so patient and attentive with my little older dog. She always spends ample time with him and is very committed to doing a great job with all the instructions provided. Thank you!!”

“Nathaly was great with my dogs. She helped me in a jam and came over same day to walk them. She was super communicative and the boys were nice and tired when they returned. Highly recommend.”

“Andrhu is so great with our girls! He plays so well with our social dog so that she is worn out and happy when we get home. For our shy dog, he gives gentle attention and praise, working to form a bond of trust. He was also so thoughtful to stow our Amazon delivery safely out of sight. He really is the best!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 8yrs old. Friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to care for their beloved pets. I’ am currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available for boarding on weekends after 2pm, and weekdays after 430pm I have a fence yard, crates and gates at home, we can also use your own crates if that works with you. Thank a bunch
“Sophia's availability and reliability are excellent! I can tell she genuinely cares about and enjoys working with animals. Our dogs are like family to us and we appreciate sitters like Sophia who treat them as such.”

About: I had a Neapolitan mastiff and a beagle poodle mix. I adopted a poodle (Lady) in October 2025, and then another one (Ricky) in June 2026 . I’m a dependable dog mom and will follow all your doggie care instructions. Your pups will be loved, well-cared for, have a lot of fun playing if that’s what they like! SPACE: I own my home. I have a fenced yard dog run, so your babies will be safe and secured. I have a 2300 sq ft home on .78 acres, so plenty of room to run and play. My neighborhood has one dog-friendly park within a short walking distance and we have two big dog parks close by (driving). Most roads have a speed limit of 25 miles per hour, so very safe to walk around the neighborhood. But the property is large, so we walk around it too. Unfortunately at this time I am not hosting puppies (under 1 year) or dogs that are not potty-trained. I work from home two days a week and am available weekends all day. I work out and walk in the morning rain or shine. My work schedule is flexible so I can go out for walks multiple times a day and can drive anywhere if needed. My evenings are also open. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I’m an active and responsible dog mom with 2 fur babies, so your fur baby will be showered with love and care from me, and companion ship from furry friends!
“We love Ivy and so does our Brewer! Ivy is very trustworthy, reliable, and communicative! She’s a life saver as we work nights and has been a blessing in brewers routine. She’s also very accommodating in scheduling, which has been nice as this night schedule has been new to us!”

I work weird hours and days so I’m available at times most people aren’t! If you’re looking for someone that will be in town during holidays, that would be me! I understand every pet is different and might take time to adjust. I care about sticking to a schedule and keeping the pets feeling cared about regarding routine, habits, medications, and whatever else they might need. About: Animal lover, retired after 35 years working as an Auditor for the U.S. Army. My menagerie over the past 30 years has included dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, birds, and fish. Currently owned by energetic husky girl named Tikanni Rose and a sweet tortie kitty named Willow. I have a college age daughter living at home who can take of my fur babies while I take care of yours. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, and previously fostered for a cat rescue. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time to devote to your fur babies. I am available for pet sitting services in your home, including overnight stays or drop in visits, and dog walking. Home owner on a quiet cul-de-sac with a fully fenced yard. Will schedule a meet and greet to ensure I fully understand your pet's needs. Happy to provide photos and videos.

About: I have two dogs of my own and I’ve worked with trained and untrained dogs. I’m a regular dog walker for my friends and family, they know they can rely on me to step in when they need a bit of help! AND I just love dogs! I currently work part time outside of dog sitting and walking. This means I am fully available on Sundays and Mondays and then the rest of the week I’m available mid day - afternoon. If we arrange it and I can do it, I can also stop by in the mornings before work to take your pup out for a quick potty run and feed. I live in an apartment so I know many trails in the area that are great for dog walking! I have two friendly dogs to keep your dog company, (if they like that), if not I can definitely do solo walks/ playtime!
“Thank you for your continued amazing work with my Stella girl! We are both so grateful to you! You are always so accommodating and communicative, I appreciate you so much 🥹❤️”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
