“Sophia's availability and reliability are excellent! I can tell she genuinely cares about and enjoys working with animals. Our dogs are like family to us and we appreciate sitters like Sophia who treat them as such.”

“We love Ivy and so does our Brewer! Ivy is very trustworthy, reliable, and communicative! She’s a life saver as we work nights and has been a blessing in brewers routine. She’s also very accommodating in scheduling, which has been nice as this night schedule has been new to us!”

“Mary is the best! She is so patient and attentive with my little older dog. She always spends ample time with him and is very committed to doing a great job with all the instructions provided. Thank you!!”

“Us and our dogs love Renee! She is always so accommodating and she takes such great care of our dogs on their walkies when we are working or out of town! We always love and appreciate the updates and photos from their adventure time”

“Rose is very communicative and dependable! My 12 year old heeler warmed right up and she was attentive to his peculiar cattle dog ways. Will definitely have her back to help take care of him again :)”

“Isa did a great job with our dog, Frida. She’s reliable and communicative, and it’s clear from the pictures that all of our animals (dog and 3 cats) wanted to be around her! We recommend her for your dog and cat care needs, and we’ll definitely be rebooking her again.”

About: I have owned pets my entire life and miss having them around. Timing is not right for me now to have my own so I am opening my life up to caring for others’ pets. I currently work from my home office which allows me flexibility to care for pets periodically throughout the week. Most weekends are open for me. My apartment complex has a fenced play yard for dogs. I also walk for exercise frequently and would take your dog on walks with me.
“Andrhu is such a wonderful walker for our family, our girls really see him as a friend and playmate. He is so caring and really keeps our girls happiness and safety in the forefront if each visit. We feel such comfort knowing they are safe with him and that they have a great time playing, exploring and getting the daily stimulation we can't always provide when we are working”

“Extremely impressed w/Adam. We’re scheduled to go out of the country for our 10yr anniversary, and had an already booked Rover unfortunately cancel on us so close to our departure week. Scrambling for someone for our 3-fur kids, we combed through the Stellar Sitter list and found Adam. He was quick to respond after we explained our sitch and was also very empathetic. And let’s talk about the meet & greet for an acclimation period, which is our policy. We wanted to ensure the vibe was right, and suffice it to say, the kids LOVED him. He had a very calm and disarming demeanor, and he went down to their level, which we’re sure lent to the seamless intros. We could immediately tell it was going to be the right fit, so we moved forward with the bookings. Adam just successfully completed one week of acclimation period with the kids. He’s very communicative, respectful of property, and very engaging. The kids respond well to him and they’ve been very excited with their interactions. We feel at easy leaving our precious kids in his care. He’s essentially an extension of our pack! He has our highest recommendation. We’ll certainly book with him again!”

About: My name is Samantha! I am teacher and have breaks to help out other dog owners. I have owned dogs my whole life. I am very safe and responsible and am used to managing 30 kids all day, I can definitely handle a couple pups! I will be very respectful of your time and can be flexible to accommodate you and your pup. I love going in walks, and would love to take yours on safe ones as well. I can do drop in visits and overnights as well, thank you!! I am off for the summer so I have lots of time currently! I no longer have pets of my own anymore, so it's even easier for me to make space in my schedule. I have a yard but it is not fully fenced so pets would always be leashed. I no longer have any animals in my home.
“Issana has been walking our fur baby for about a 3 weeks now. We feel so lucky to have found her. We know Walter is in good hands whenever she talks care of him. She's attentive to Walter's needs and goes above and beyond. :)”

“We needed a dog walker as my husband was recovering from foot surgery and I was leaving town for a few days. Xiaotong did a fantastic job with our pups. She sent lots of photos of their walks. They were thrilled to go with her each day. We will certainly call on her again.”

“Megan is such a kind soul and really a blessing and is really good with nova. Nova always gets excited when Megan comes around. I've already mentioned how wonderful she is with communication but I'll say it again because she is a rockstar”

“Francesca was so so great with our pup who definitely takes a minute to warm up. We’re doing a bunch of walks before she stays with her in a few months and are so glad we found her!! Highly recommend and has an energy that our pup loved immediately.”

“Callie is always on time and very professional. I often have schedule changes and have to book last minute or change bookings around last minute and she makes everything work out whenever possible. Always a pleasure to work with.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
