Thank you for considering me to care for your pets; it would be my great honor to provide care for them as if they were my own! I so look forward to speaking with you further, and until then, I wish you and your furry/scaly/slimy friends all the best!

Information Emily C. would like to know about your pet

Allergies, medications, significant medical history (heart attacks, strokes, runny nose, runny eyes, etc.), age, special needs (help up/down stairs, special feeding instructions, etc.) I will always ask walking clients if your dog is reactive to (even if they just get excited about) anything on their typical walks such as other dogs, people, bikes, skateboards, motorcycles, loud trucks, etc.

A typical day

Walks around the neighborhood, local nature hikes (if desired), leashed walks in Fed Way/Tacoma parks (if desired), lots of indoor/outdoor playtime, etc. I have a dog-friendly car for transport if you would like your dog walked somewhere special around town!

Lifelong dog owner, love activity!

Pet care experience

MY BACKGROUND • 15+ years of experience caring personally & professionally for all sorts of dogs, cats, fish, birds, chickens, goats, horses, lizards, rodents, and more — both on & off this platform. • Lifelong pet owner (including all of the above), currently sharing my home with my partner and our four dogs! MY PRACTICES & TRAINING • I love exercising with dogs—hiking, long walks, and runs—and am also happy to provide indoor play for cats, puppies, seniors, and weather-sensitive dogs. • Extensive experience with shy, nervous, and reactive pets. • Trained in canine and feline CPR and general emergency response. • Practiced in administering oral, injectable, and topical medications and experienced in caring for senior pets, animals in declining health, and pets with special needs (e.g., frequent walks, assistance up stairs, separation from other dogs). • I have experience training both my own pets and reinforcing client's training. While I am not a dog trainer and do not offer these services independently, I’m happy to reinforce your methods while your pet is in my care. TYPES OF BOOKINGS / USING ROVER DOG WALKING General-purpose booking for any dog walking. Walks are 30-45min. A "Report Card" will be sent after each walk (in which I always include pictures), detailing water/food given, bathroom stops, and a map of the walk. I do not walk multiple clients at once without explicit permission from both owners, as well as a neutral introduction between dogs. Rates: Rate: [30-45 minutes (base rate): $25] [1 hour (base rate): $30]* DROP-IN VISITS In-home visits for any non-canine pet (cats, fish, rodentia, reptiles, etc.), un-vaccinated puppies, senior dogs, or other special-needs canines. Drop-in visits usually consist of feedings and waterings, backyard potty/play, in-house play-time, medication application, and other daily routine and care items as the owner sees fit to request. Rate: [30-45 minutes (base rate): $25]* HOUSE-SITTING (OVERNIGHT) Option for owners travelling out of town, seeking someone to stay in your home with your animals overnight. These bookings include at least two walks per day (morning and evening) as well as all feedings, play sessions, and as many cuddles as your pets demand! While I do my best to stick to your normal household routines, I am typically out of the house for a few hours midday for my regular client walks (as well as caring for our own dogs to give my partner a break during the day) — this typically takes around 4-6 hours, so your animals will need to be comfortable being left home alone for this duration. I will always discuss any other conflicts or obligations I may have prior to the booking. I always bring my own food, clean up after myself (including washing all sheets and towels/remaking the bed), and generally do my best to leave your home clean and tidy for you to happily return to! Rate: $110/night* *All rates will differ during Holidays, as well as for additional household pets under the booking. You will always receive a detailed invoice from Rover prior to confirmation of the booking or payment. PRE-BOOKING If you decide to reach out to me to care for your pet(s), please make sure you are available within a few days of our first contact for a "Meet-and-Greet" before we confirm the booking. Here, we will go over your pet's care instructions including food, walks, crating or open house policy, any reactivity information, as well as important information about your house (such as key/code swapping) if you are ready to move forward with booking. CANCELLATIONS Please kindly notify me at least 2 hours in advance of a walk or drop-in cancellation. I do not charge a cancellation fee for walks or drop-ins. Please kindly notify me at least a week prior to cancelling a house-sitting stay. There is a 50% cancellation fee for any cancellation 7 days prior to the start of a house-sitting booking. USING ROVER • I've been sitting through Rover for 10 years now, so have seen the service go through innumerable iterations and updates. Please let me know if there is ever any issue with the app or website, and I am happy to do my best to answer or get in touch with the Sitter Support via email. • All payments, once confirmed, are held by the app until after the walk/visit/stay is complete, at which point the payment will be released to me within three business days. • Rover sitters (me) keep only 80% of our total earnings (the other 20% is kept by the Company to cover their insurance policy, pay for their support staff, etc). I price my services accordingly as this is my full-time job, based on my experience, and the level of care I provide. There is a tip option recently introduced, but I price my services to avoid relying on tips. Rover as a company subjects all bookings to a "service fee" (10% of the booking cost); this is out of my hands, so please do not ask me to remove it. • All Rover Report Cards will be sent directly to your phone via text message immediately upon completion of the walk/visit. All messages that owners send me via the app/website are delivered directly to my cell phone via text. You are welcome to call me at any time once we have booked a walk/visit/stay.
