“Holly is super helpful and nice! She was patient with our stubborn boy and flexible to meet his needs. She was also able to help us a little last minute so very grateful to her prompt and professional response. Rolo adored her”

About: I grew up with two wonderful dogs, Ranger and Lucy, and I helped to train them as I got older. I worked at a great doggie daycare for an about a year in 2023-24 and I learned lots of awesome techniques and information about dogs' body language, needs, and other things. I am also equipped to handle medications, whether it be pills, ear/eye drops, or injections. I enjoy being around and training dogs very much, I'd say they're one of the things I am most passionate about! I think that staying with dogs, either overnight or just for the day sounds like a dream! I attend Seattle University during the year (mid September-mid June) but I’m currently home for the summer and I’d love to make a little extra money taking care of your best friend. I work in the evenings Monday-Friday from about 3-7pm. I’m available anytime of day during the weekends and any time other than my specified work hours on weekdays. I mentioned this in my description but I very much enjoy training dogs (although I’m not the most experienced or effective), cuddling or playing with them, whichever they prefer, and am capable of providing medications of multiple kinds to your pets. I can provide potty breaks both during the day and night if needed. I can sleep on a couch or in a bed, either with or without your pet. Personally, my dogs are crate-trained, so I understand not wanting them on couches or beds to sleep or just in general. Although, I would be absolutely overjoyed to have a sweet cuddle buddy to sleep with me. One last thing about safety, at my previous job, I was often alone in a room of up to 50 dogs and am well aware of techniques to break up a fight, although I doubt I will need to do this, I think it’s an important thing to know about the person taking care of your pet.

I also have availability on holidays and can provide midday check-ins and walks. Feel free to reach out to inquire about my services, and I’d be happy to arrange a meet and greet as well! I prioritize safety, trust, and a positive environment when caring for pets. With years of experience handling animals, especially those with anxiety, I ensure that your pets feel comfortable and secure while in my care. I create a calm and nurturing space for them, following all safety protocols and offering personalized attention. “Kaylee is amazing with our pup! I can tell she treats and cares for him like he’s her own. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their doggos:)”

“Lelia is dependable and a great communicator. I had a hiccup with logistics and timing however she was flexible and accommodating and spent extra time with Spanky. Spanky is a shy boy and will not usually walk out of the house with a stranger, unless he is on leash. He liked Lelia enough to for a walk without being coaxed outside on his leash! I will definitely book Lelia again!”

“Saved our bacon at the last minute with a walk, and very clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. Ever meet someone and you think “phew, they are an expert at this”? Yeah that’s her”

“Jerry was punctual, professional, friendly, reliable, and our puppy dog was very excited to see him every time he arrived. Jerry helped us with a daily walk for two weeks while I had a broken ankle. Windsor even started to wait at the door for Jerry‘s appointment time. Thanks again, Jerry for helping out our family. You’re the best.!!!”

About: While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I’ve been a dedicated pet parent for years. Caring for my own pets has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and unconditional love. I understand how much your furry family members mean to you, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away I maintain a consistently open schedule and am always available to provide support, collaborate, or communicate as needed. Reliability and responsiveness are always my priorities. I do have 2 children, a 11 year old and a 7 year old. If requesting house sitting they will need to stay with me. In clients’ homes, I provide personalized, attentive care for animals, ensuring they feel safe and loved in their familiar environment. My routines include feeding according to dietary needs, administering medications if required, refreshing water bowls regularly, and maintaining a clean living space. I also offer enrichment through playtime, walks, and gentle companionship tailored to each pet’s temperament. I monitor behavior and health closely, communicating any concerns to the owner promptly. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both pets and their people.
“Sarah is so wonderful with our German Shepherd. She was so thoughtful about the weather conditions this week and made sure our girl was well taken care of. Sarah is the best!”

“So glad Anne could help out with my dogs! They have a hard time being alone for too long, and having her walk them and spend time with them was wonderful. Definitely recommend her!”

“Erica has been walking our pups for almost a year. She has always been available, always been punctual, and has always been a great communicator. Our dogs love her and are always excited to see her. Even our one dog who was abused and doesn't like most people took to her right away. Rest assured when you choose Erica your pets are in great hands. Thank-you for always taking such good care of our pups!”

“Lydia has been a wonderful addition to my dog walking team. She’s responsive to messages, flexible with individual needs, and dependable with care. She sends quality pictures and updates so I know how the walks went and how my pups are doing during her care. If she has questions or concerns during her time with the dogs she addresses them promptly and respectfully. I can trust no issue or concern will go unnoticed or unreported. I appreciate having Lydia as a trusted member of my team and can count on my dogs being well cared for and loved on while I am away.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and treat them like I do my children! They are in great hands with me! Animal Activist here! I’m retired and thus I would be exactly what I want to do now that I’m free to. At this time I have no pets so this would be wonderful! I’m all about safety with pets and they are treated like my children. I do not have a fenced yard so in my home they would no go out unless on leash.
“You couldn't find a better person to entrust your four-legged! She is kind-hearted, a natural animal person, and our blind dog, Bailey, adapted to her immediately. She's so considerate and had a relaxed affinity for our doggo, and I will return to her again and again! Thanks Erin!!!!”

About: Need a fun, safe space for your dog? Look no further. I would love to walk your pup, play ball, or give them a few school lessons. I am a certified professional dog trainer so I am familiar with dogs needs, their communication, and understand them from a behavioral perspective. I am currently working part-time as a dog trainer. My schedule is very flexible. If I do have to leave for work, your pup would only be alone for a couple hours. I have a fully fenced yard. Plenty of room for playing fetch. I do prefer dogs that are crate trained, although it’s not a requirement.
“Megan was fantastic with my senior pup, Macklin! She was prompt, attentive, and took very good care of him on their walk. I will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for over 12 years. I have cared for two wonderful dogs of my own—a small dog named Gunner and a Chocolate Lab named Jeter—which has given me experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Through caring for my own pets, I’ve become comfortable with daily walks, feeding schedules, administering basic medications, playtime, grooming, and providing lots of love and attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, potty breaks, medication, or simply someone nearby to keep them company, I can be there. For house sitting, I can bring my work setup with me so your pet can stay comfortable in their familiar environment while still receiving lots of love and attention. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Because I work from home, I’m able to spend more quality time with pets throughout the day, providing regular walks, playtime, cuddles, potty breaks, and plenty of supervision. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they can feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic and loves adventure or prefers a calm companion to relax with, I’ll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and lots of affection. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
