Before working with a dog I would prefer to know their breed (if there is one), they’re sex, and they’re age. As well as some key characteristics of their temperament- like and dislikes. Do they do well with other dogs? Are they confident or more on the shy side? What activities do they enjoy the most? And of course, if there are any health or dietary restrictions.
A typical day
Living on Vashon offers a lot of options for dog walks. My favorite though- is walking the trails in the Dockton forest. But walking the neighborhoods is enjoyable as well since traffic is so light. I also enjoy playing fetch and other fun games that stimulate your dog’s mind and gives them exercise.

Hello there! I’ve worked almost 4 years at a local animal rescue and have tons of experience caring for many different dogs (and cats) with varying ages, temperaments, personalities, and needs. I love them all! And almost always, they end up loving me! For 2 yrs I’ve been apart of a professional animal behavioral team that works with a certified trainer and behavioralist assessing some of our rescue’s more misunderstood dogs. Having a vet clinic at our rescue, I have plenty of experience medicating both dogs and cats. And caring for animals with special needs. I understand that our pets are our family and I treat every animal with total unconditional love and respect. I’ve had my dog for 8 yrs and she’s my everything.

Deborah is clearly a dog lover. She has a lot of experience not only working professionally with dogs but also clearly as a dog owner and lover herself. My pup Josie and I met her for the first time today for a drop-in and Deborah clearly loves dogs and knows how to connect with them. My pup was instantly at ease with her and spent a good long time playing fetch. All in all a great experience.
Deborah is phenomenal. She’s pet sit for us a few times now and always goes above and beyond to make sure the kitties are cuddled and well taken care of. Also, always appreciate the attention to little things around the house. Highly recommend!
Deborah is fantastic, she put in extra time to try and befriend our boy cat, and was just down right great overall!
Deborah was very responsive and my pup had a good time with her!
