“I’m so happy to have found Lora. I don’t like leaving my pups, but I feel confident that they are being taken care of with her. She stays in touch while I’m gone, and always sends pics/updates. My dogs really like her too, which is what matters most.”
“I cannot recommend Larcy enough! My plans had to change a few times but Larcy was incredibly flexible and helpful in work shopping a solution that ensured my dog got the best care possible while I was out of the country. On top of that, she went above and beyond when my dog fell ill right before the handoff. She patiently administered medication and provided compassionate, attentive care as my dog adjusted to the new environment. I loved all the daily photos and videos that were sent of my dog getting so much affection and cuddles! Larcy’s dedication and calm demeanor made a stressful situation so much easier, and I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such capable hands.”

“Brittney and Megan were absolute angels!! From the moment I booked with them, they went above and beyond—checking in with me every day, sending the cutest, most beautiful photos of my babies, and most importantly, loving them like their own. 🥹💛 Knowing they were safe, snuggled, and genuinely cared for brought my anxiety down more than I can say. I could feel the warmth and peace they created in my absence. I will never be able to thank them enough—and I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again in a heartbeat. Truly the dream team. 💫🐾✨”

About: Hi! My name is Emma and I'm probably one of the biggest dog lovers you will ever meet! I started pet/house sitting when I was a teenager and have over 15 years of experience outside of Rover. I have never known life without a dog and I never want to. I've owned many different breeds of dogs throughout the years, varying from Elkhounds to Rat Terriers and Labradors to Corgis, I've handled them all. They have feelings and can get lonely at times, especially when their family is away. That's why I want to be a dog sitter, so your little (or big) one doesn't have to feel so alone. I look forward to hearing from you and your pooch soon! (: During the summer, my work is very flexible and the availability on my calendar means that I am available for the entire day. During the fall/winter I teach three days per week, Tuesday and Thursday in the late afternoon/early evening, and Saturday mornings. On those days I would be out of the house for no more than 3-4 hours. Committing to look after your pets means that I'm committing to fitting into their life and routine as much as possible. If your pet is not very active and just wants to be around me all day and cuddle, I am happy to do that. If your pet is a bit more aloof and isn't super into spending time with humans, I will not force them into hanging out with me. I prioritize your pets comfort and respect their boundaries, and yours. If you pet has a daily schedule or routine, I do everything in my power to stick to it, no matter how "ridiculous" it may seem! No routine or ritual is too complicated or "ridiculous" to me. Pets are members of the family and I treat them with that level of respect. I listen to them and pay attention to what they're trying to communicate. Reading body language and knowing how to respond is important when it comes to building trust and I always adapt to meet them where they're at. I am very attentive and observant, especially with pets I haven't worked with before, and pay attention to their habits and make note of any changes. I understand that some dogs may be anxious with new people and that can result in changes to their potty, eating, and behavioral habits, so I keep an eye on those to make sure they dont get worse. I am also very communicative so if anything concerning pops up, I will make sure to notify you.
About: I grew up having and taking care of animals. We currently have a little farm at home so I’m well adept at caring for all types of animals. I love to give our critters massages and teach new tricks. I look forward to spoiling your furry friends too. I’m a full-time stay at home mom so my schedule is very flexible. It’s all about the animals. I love to get outside and spend time with the animals. I’m very confident with animals as they’ve always been part of my life. I can walk dogs, feed, play, scoop litter boxes etc. I’m very flexible and am comfortable with caring for just about any animal.
“Willa helped me out in a really trick moment. She was easy to communicate with even though the Rover app made it difficult. I came home and Tara was happy and energized. Would love to book with Willa again.”

“Tiana is wonderful. She came over ahead of time to get to know my pups. The daily pics and notes were fun to receive. Most importantly all our animals and home were cared for with kindness and consideration. Tiana is a gem in this line of work. Thanks again! The Fairall Family”

“Alex was incredibly attentive and kind. She was super experienced and Walter was so well taken care of! It’s a hard time of year and I needed help last minute and she provided so much peace of mind knowing Walter was looked after! The house was spotless when we came home, we will absolutely have her back!”

“Isabel is the best! From when I first met her at the meet and greet I knew she would be great for Roxy. She took great care of my fur baby. She gave Roxy lots of attention and loves just what my little separation anxiety girl needs. She sent pictures and video daily and was quick to respond whenever I reached out. When our flight got delayed she was so understanding and helpful. It was a big relief she could work it into her schedule to stay another night. I can’t recommend her enough! She will always be my first choice, thank you Isabel!”

“We love Heather so much! She watched our two dogs and cat for 5 nights, and took such good care of all of them. She has great communication, attention to detail, sends updates and photos, and most of all is sweet and kind with our animals. Our reactive dog loves her calm demeanor. Thanks, Heather!”
“Katelynn is a sweet and thoughtful sitter! She was very respectful of finding ways to help with our homecoming. She kept us informed and updated photos very well. Katelynn has a gift with animals and is missed at our home.”

Tessie is doing well. Tessie was well cared for while I was away. The house was spotless. EJ was exceptional.”

Mariana is absolutely the right choice. As a first time dog parent, leaving my new puppy alone with just anyone is really really hard. Especially someone spending time in your home. I have never felt better about picking Mariana to watch my baby. She wanted to meet me and my puppy before she confirmed the booking - this is what sold me. She asked questions and wanted to really know about us and our routine. Having her here was like I never left. cannoli was so happy to see her and made me feel so much better that I didn’t have to worry. Book Mariana - but not so much I can’t use her.

Arizonia and her daughter Lilly were so wonderful with our cats- they played and cuddled with them a lot and housesat for us for 6 days, 5 nights. The house was clean when we got back and they even had made us chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious, to welcome us home- such a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Matthew was awesome. My shy boy, William, took to him instantly. He has a new best friend. Bailey was very shy at first. Matthew was very patient and she eventually interacted with him more. I would highly recommend Matthew. He took very good care of my babies and our home.

We’re so grateful to have Rachel—this is her third time watching our two pups, and every time they are so well cared for and completely spoiled in the best way. She always makes sure they get plenty of treats, walks, and quality hangout time (they love their time with “Aunt Rachel”!). Not to mention, Rachel provides daily check ins with pictures or videos multiple times a day we never miss out on their adventures with Aunt Rachel. We feel totally at ease leaving them with her, and at this point she truly feels like part of our dog family. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Larcy highly enough! She recently watched our home and our two dogs and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, it was clear that Larcy is a true animal lover. During our first in person meeting she took notes and was very detail oriented about the care routine for our dogs. Both Cardi C and Figaro have very different personalities, and Larcy managed them both with so much care and patience. I returned home to two very happy, relaxed pups who clearly enjoyed their time while we were away. Beyond the excellent pet care, Larcy was a dream house sitter. She left the house immaculate and kept us updated with photos and check-ins, which really gave us peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone you can trust completely with both your home and your 'fur family.' If you're looking for someone professional, communicative, and genuinely kind, look no further. I will definitely be booking Larcy again!

Chervyn helped with a relatively last minute sit during the holiday period. She was proactive, detail-oriented, and easy going with our shy old lady dog. Appreciated her updates throughout the stay as well. I will be reaching out to her for any future dog sitting needs going forward!

I wish every pet sitting experience was like the one Luca provided us with. Luca was so attentive and sweet with our 2 cats and 2 dogs, they were communicative, respectful of our home and animals, clean and organized, always so welcoming and caring. We came back to an organized and clean home, our pets seemed happy, we got updates and pictures as frequently as we requested, Luca was all around a lovely person and a trustworthy presence in our home! I look forward to booking with them again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Redondo
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Redondo on Rover is $43.87 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,152 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Redondo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redondo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redondo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redondo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
