“Lisa is amazing and such a pleasure to trust to our home and with our fur babies! She communicates and sends pictures and left our home immaculate! Thanks Lisa!!”

“My dog, Klaus, adores Michael! As soon as he sees Michael he goes nuts. His whole body wiggles with delight! Michael is always punctual, friendly, and he follows any instructions I may give him to a tee. He always takes Klaus for walks and sends me cute pictures of him. I can see that Klaus is enjoying himself. I know that Klaus is always in the best of hands with Michael. I highly recommend him!”

“Kelsie took great care of our home and our German Shepherd, Tigger, while we were out of town for 6 days. We will be booking her again for sure. Tigger can’t wait for us to go on Vacation again!”

“Alicia was just an amazing care provider for our Puppies…can we give a 10 Star review. Alicia was communicative right from the beginning sending photos and not making us feel bad for the 5 thousand questions we had. Such a professional with just an amazing heart for providing love to our doggies . Words can not express how well cared for our dogs and home were. Thank you so much”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I’ve taken care of many different breeds of dogs. I have been trusted to take care of, walk, feed and play with friends and families dogs and cats In both my own home and theirs. Both of my dogs have passed away now. My boy was 14.5 years old when he passed in June 2026. My girl passed in April 2024. Being able to care for other animals while not fully ready to have my own fur baby again will help me with the loneliness of not having my baby here any longer. I am available for all care levels from drop in to house sitting. I am currently unemployed, so i currently have open availability to walk and care for others pets. I am available any day of the week, and look forward to connecting with you and your beloved fur babies. I have a nice size yard that is fully fenced allowing dogs to be able to run and play freely. I do have another dog in the home who is friendly with other dogs, she is an Australian Shepherd. I am able to crate either dog at anytime if necessary. I am a big cuddle lover, if you prefer your animals not to be on the couch, please let me know so I don’t have them on the furniture.
“Katey was amazing. She was very communicative and attuned to my pets needs and personalities. She was reliable and I came home to happy pets. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Christina was a great sitter. Very communicative about any issues as well as just giving updates about visits. A true pet lover. Will be rebooking in the future!”

“They crushed it! Our three cats and dog were so over and cared for while we were out of town. They were us super responsive and a treat to have in our home. Will absolutely book again in the future.”

“Brieanna did a wonderful job taking care of our pets, including 2 cats and a large fish tank. As a house sitter, she kept our home in good order and was great about sending us updates daily so we knew our fur babies were being well taken care of. It made it much easier to enjoy our vacation knowing everything at home was in good hands. She’ll be our first choice for the next trip we plan!”

“We could not have asked for better care. It was immediately clear that Russ was attentive to all our pets' needs, and he communicated every step of the way with such thoughtfulness about the details that it's obvious he's not only an animal lover but an all-around compassionate person. We had such a tall order to fill — in particular, it included care for a frail senior dog who required constant supervision over long days. It was such a comfort to know he was in Russ's calm, capable hands, ready for whatever snags came along. This was Russ's first booking but he is clearly a ready professional.”

“Mollie stayed at our house for a week with our dog! She was fantastic and very communicative! Our dog absolutely adored her and we felt so lucky to have Mollie stay and take care of our dog and our house.”

“Paul was great with my high energy dog! He did a few drop in visits before house sitting to make sure my dog was comfortable with him. I would highly recommend Paul and will have him dog sit again!”

“Sierra made leaving our two older pups stress-free (which is saying a lot!). She was prompt, sent thorough updates with lots of photos, and clearly took great care of our two dogs. Thanks so much, Sierra! We look forward to booking you again.”
“Elizabeth is wonderful. She was patient and kind to our anxious dog and spent extra time with her to make sure her needs were met. I highly recommend her”

“Shania was an amazing dog sitting for my anxious older dog. She had great communication and patience when meeting her and kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My dog is very anxious and Shania made it much easier for Lily and made her so comfortable. She took Greta care of Lily and will be using her in the future.”

“Jennifer and Champ we amazing staycation friends for my pup, Scout! He was so happy and well cared for while I was gone, and Jennifer's proactive communication and pictures of Scout really helped reassure me that he was in great hands! We can't wait to invite them back next time I need puppy care :D”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fircrest
As always, Todd was incredible. He is excellent at communicating. We received updates and pictures every day. Our cat and dog received the best care and got all of the attention, love, and fun that we had wanted for them. We will ALWAYS choose Todd to take care of our little fur babies.

Ashley did an amazing job watching my dog for the weekend! She came over for a meet and greet and made sure she understood exactly what my dog needs. She followed all my directions for care and gave me detailed updates. I came home to a clean and tidy home and a happy pet! I would definitely recommend Ashley and book her again!

Alicia was wonderful with my two corgis. She took such great care of them, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands while I was away. She also took excellent care of my home, watered the garden, and left everything incredibly tidy. It was such a pleasure to come home to happy dogs and a well cared for house. I would absolutely trust Alicia with my pets and home again and highly recommend her!

Halcyon did a great job caring for our cat and elderly dog. She was flexible in managing last minute changes to our dog’s medication regimen as well as contractors being at our house working on the exterior while we were away. She kept all my many plants alive inside and outside, provided regular updates, and sent plenty of cute photos. The house was spotless upon our return, and both pets were happy and relaxed.

Autumn was a thoughtful, attentive, and caring cat+house sitter for my wife and I while we were traveling. One of our cats doesn’t normally get along with anyone and seemed more comfortable around Autumn than any of our other cat sitters! We are usually very stressed about our cats when we travel but having Autumn around made my wife and I feel like our cats were in great hands. Thank you Autumn!

Baileigh was hands down the best sitter we have ever had! We were gone for a week and were able to truly relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that our pets were in such great hands. Baileigh sent us multiple updates daily, including if our pets finished their meals, went to the bathroom, went on a walk, etc. She also went above and beyond and vacuumed our home to clean up the litter as well as de furring our couch. Our pets loved Baileigh and were so happy to have her there :) we recently adopted a stray cat and from the videos Baileigh sent, he seemed so at home with her and really came out of his shell under her watch and care. We will definitely be booking with Baileigh again and HIGHLY recommend her to take care of your fur babies too! My wife and I spent half our trip raving about how great she was to each other and how reassured we felt knowing they were cared for. Thank you Baileigh for everything!!

Bri & Jamal are just amazing! They took such incredible care of Willie Nelson & Ruby, our two crazy basset hounds while we went a week vacation along the Oregon coast! We got daily pics and updates thru out each day. Thank you for loving them as much as we do.

Brie house sat for my three, high energy pups! She was very responsive and sent plenty of pics so I was not worried about them. I appreciated that Brie was willing to come to my house ahead of time to meet my dogs. I have a German shepherd who can be house protective. It made me feel better that she came to meet them and they all loved her with no protective issues!

The average cost for House Sitting in Fircrest on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 6,912 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fircrest. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fircrest walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fircrest maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fircrest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fircrest. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
