“Lydia did a great job watching our senior dog. She was responsible for administering his medications and gave him the perfect amount of exercise. We enjoyed her regular updates and she was very prompt with communication. Would happily book with her again.”

“Noelle was wonderful. She took my pup on walks and played ball with him. I received daily updates showing with lots of pictures. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“I was able to board my dog Tex at Leslie’s on short notice and it turned out to be a great fit. Her dog Bruce is very well trained and got along great with my dog, who’s more interested in human friends than other dogs. She was able to administer his medication with no issues and kept the pups happy and active. She’s reliable, communicative, and took great care of Tex. I will definitely board my dog with her again! :)”

About: Hi there! I grew up with dogs and for the last nine years, have been a mom to my beloved chiweenie named Fynn. Friends, family members, and clients trust me with their dogs, for both short and long term stays, and I’d love to care for your pup. Fynn is very active, so we do at least two long walks a day. I live in the North End, so frequently walk in Puget Park and am always happy to take pups to Point Defiance depending on exercise needs. Of course, if your dog needs more rest, I’ll take that into account as well. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication. I am in academia and currently on my summer break, so I’m home most of the time. Your dog will rarely be alone. Please reach out! Can’t wait to hang with your pup! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am free on weekdays and weekends as needed, and am available for both shorter and longer term stays. I live in an apartment but take frequent dog walks and bathroom breaks as needed. I have a nine-year-old chiweenie named Fynn who loves other dogs and will be a great buddy to your pup. I’m close to parks and Point Defiance so your dog will get plenty of exercise!
“Cami did a fantastic job with our dog Piper. We received updates and pictures every day. Piper was very calm and happy when I picked her up. We will definitely book with Cami again!”

“Kaitlin and her husband Nathan took excellent care of my little dog Molly. This is the first time I left her alone with someone else, for over a couple weeks. They helped Molly transition from having a minor separation anxiety, to become fully comfortable by the end of the stay. They cared for her like their own dog. Kaitlin sent photo updates every few days. I recommend Kaitlin, and would book with her again!”

“Tobi is a 5 Star Rover Sitter. She has lovely fenced-in yard and pretty deck for pets to lounge. Her two doggies are laid back and welcoming. Tobi provided pictures and updates on how Lily (our diva dog) settled in during her stay. Tobi has a genuine caring and patient nature that I'm sure Lily appreciated. I highly recommend Tobi and her dog family.”

Super chill, easy going process from booking, to drop off to pick up. He provided updates & pictures each day. My dog had an amazing time during his stay. Will definitely a repeat client.”

“Bailey and Kyle were fantastic! Mike stayed with them for 3 nights and had such a wonderful time. It was clear from the updates and from how happy he was when we picked him up that he felt completely comfortable. Ethan was absolutely amazing!! We brought our 13-year old dog and 7 month old puppy, and both were very clearly happy and cared for! It was our first time boarding them, and we were really nervous about it but Ethan sent us plenty of picture and video notifications that set us at ease. Honestly if we could give him 100 stars we would!!

Dee Anne is so sweet and fun and Max loves her so much which we really appreciate! She's thoughtful about how to engage him physically and mentally because he has a lot of energy while also giving him lots of cuddle time too. Staying with her is a little vacation for our pup and he comes home tired yet fulfilled from their weekend together.

Miranda did a wonderful job watching my dog, Moose, for a 2 week long vacation. I trusted her to take good care of him and based on the photos she sent, it seems like he had an enjoyable time with her dog, Fynn. She was communicative the entire time and accommodating when I needed to extend my trip by 2 days. I would recommend her as a sitter!

We have a 2 1/2 year old kitty named MIA and adopted her when she was 1 yr old. We are retired and like to take periodic trips mostly to the Oregon coast. Up until now we would take her with us in the car but she does not like car travel, even with medication, so it was not always the fun relaxing time we wanted.. We considered a number of options but didn't feel comfortable with any of them. Then we met HUA through Rover. She is wonderful, fantastic, patient and kind. We were going to be gone for 6 days and were concerned if MIA would be ok. But HUA was reassuring and her set-up for kitty care is amazing. MIA had her own room with toys, climbing structures, a big window with a panoramic view of the water, food and a kitty litter box. And the really extra fantastic part is that HUA would send us videos 2 or 3 time a day of MIA! That was sooo reassuring that she was ok. We joked if MIA would want to come home with us after spending a week in an all inclusive resort. From now on we will leave MIA with HUA whenever we go out of town. We will work our trips around HUA's availability. We would give her more than 5 stars if the website had the option.

Renate did an amazing job caring for my two kittens while I had to go out of town. She sent me a lot of updates and photos to help ease my mind about their stay. She has an amazing cat boarding space and gave both of my kitties lots and lots of love and attention. Could not have found a better sitter!

How great to find a wonderful pet sitter! Kuna had a fun overnight with Amanda. She went on 2 adventure walks and also met some new dog friends to hang out with. Photos were sent, updates give, and our instructions for Kuna’s care were followed to a tee. We look forward to another pet sitter opportunity soon.

Kirsten was wonderful with Uma! She took great care of her, kept me updated throughout the stay, and made me feel comfortable knowing Uma was in good hands. She was attentive to Uma’s needs, patient with her puppy energy, and genuinely cared about making sure she was comfortable. Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was clear that Uma was well cared for and happy during her stay. I would definitely recommend Kirsten to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
