I fell in love with my first cat, Pippi, when I was six, and I’ve been a cat person ever since. I understand their moods, quirks, and quiet magic. I care for each cat like my own, and I’m so excited open Cats Upstairs, a home-away-from-home, place for cats only! We offer each cat it's own 4x6 studio with clean bedding, toys, and plenty of 'enrichment' activities. Included: • Personalized daily care and observation • Calm, cat-only environment • Feeding + filtered water service 2x day • Litter maintenance throughout the day • Medication administration (if applicable) • Cozy resting spaces and enrichment • Updates +photos available upon request I take things at your cats pace, nothing is ever forced or rushed and it is my goal that your cat has their own "stay-cation" while you enjoy your time away without worry!

Renate did an amazing job caring for my two kittens while I had to go out of town. She sent me a lot of updates and photos to help ease my mind about their stay. She has an amazing cat boarding space and gave both of my kitties lots and lots of love and attention. Could not have found a better sitter!
Cats Upstairs was a perfect place for our two cats while we were away for a week. Renate took excellent care of them, played with them daily, and sent frequent updates with photos and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. The space is clean, comfortable, and clearly designed with cats in mind. I would absolutely recommend Renate and Cats Upstairs to anyone looking for a caring, reliable cat sitter.
Renate was very patient, caring, and attentive to my spicy cat. Cats Upstairs is like an Airbnb for your cat. She tried many different toys with her and gave her playtime as well as space. I appreciated having many updates and photos/videos of my cat while I was out of state. Don’t hesitate to book!

Schedule
I am here 7 days a week, Cats Upstairs IS my job, I feed and clean litter boxes in the morning and evening- plus each cat gets unrestricted free play time (separate from the others) several times daily. I happily work with you on any special diets, medications or if you or your cat just have something you are quirky about! (Trust me, I have left my pets to go on vacation and left lots of notes!) All drop off's and pick up's are scheduled by appointment only, so your experiences here will be calm and never rushed.

Cats Upstairs is literally a separate apartment above our home. It has everything I could possibly need and none of the 'extra' that comes with a lived-in location. It is very easy to keep clean and there are no animals going through except boarded cats and no people going through beside client drop-offs/pick-ups and my partner who sometimes helps out. He built the place, and your cat will love him! He has that energy that animals are always drawn to!
A typical day
While I am with your cat, I will be happy to send you photos of them in their studio or while we are engaging in their free time! I will discuss the amount of communication you would like from me at our intake appointment.
