“Erin (and family 😊) were wonderful with Hazel. She can be a high energy greeter and the meet and greeent well. You can tell right away that the are experienced with dogs by the questions and approach. Hazel was living her best pupper life while staying with Erin. I highly recommend her especially if you like pics of your baby while you are separated.”

“Dennis and Lynn took care of our cat for 3 weeks. They kept us updated to make sure we know what is happening with him. Our cat takes a while to adjust to strangers but he seemed to acclimate easily with them. They sent us photos and videos of him and made us feel assured that our cat is well taken care of.😀”

“Van took great care of Mav during his stay. Response time was very quick and communication was clear. I received updates throughout his visit with plenty of pictures and videos. Mr. Mav got a nice long walk, playtime in a secure yard, grooming, and plenty of supervision and attention. They paid attention to his behavior and needs, including managing minor reactivity appropriately on walks. Mav came home happy, well cared for, and settled, and I would feel comfortable booking with Van again.”

“Thank you for taking good care of Skittles. I can tell she wasn't stressed at all like she usually is when I go on trips without her. I really enjoyed getting pictures during her stay too.”

“Dottie was excited to see Brent, Orion and Zeke again for her overnight visit. At their front door, her tail began to wag before entering, and she as greeted with equal excitement from Brent's dogs. Thanks again for a smooth stay as we prep Dottie for our extended stay in a few weeks.”

About: Hi there! I grew up with dogs and for the last nine years, have been a mom to my beloved chiweenie named Fynn. Friends, family members, and clients trust me with their dogs, for both short and long term stays, and I’d love to care for your pup. Fynn is very active, so we do at least two long walks a day. I live in the North End, so frequently walk in Puget Park and am always happy to take pups to Point Defiance depending on exercise needs. Of course, if your dog needs more rest, I’ll take that into account as well. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication. I am in academia and currently on my summer break, so I’m home most of the time. Your dog will rarely be alone. Please reach out! Can’t wait to hang with your pup! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am free on weekdays and weekends as needed, and am available for both shorter and longer term stays. I live in an apartment but take frequent dog walks and bathroom breaks as needed. I have a nine-year-old chiweenie named Fynn who loves other dogs and will be a great buddy to your pup. I’m close to parks and Point Defiance so your dog will get plenty of exercise!
“Maria was AWESOME! I was so nervous to leave our pup for so long because she is still young, but Maria would send picture's give me updates and reassure me Coco was doing well!! She definitely made my trip more enjoyable because I was not worried if our puppy was okay! Maria also helped reaffirm some of Coco's commands while we were gone; so Coco stayed on track with her training! Our family is so grateful to her and we will use her again next time!!!!!!!”

“Kirsten and Nathan went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt right at home while we were away. They kept us updated with great communication and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. So grateful to have found them! Highly recommend.”

“Dylan was a great communicator and kept us updated with pictures during our pups stay. Nice yard dogs to run around. I’d be happy to leave Eve with him again 🙂”

“Melody did great job talking care Max . She sanded me pictures and write the notes about the Max and how he loves to cuddle with her and follow her around. Melody is very nice and she loves being taken care of Max . I’m really appreciate her.”

“Brittany is phenomenal with my mini Aussie, Vivo! She is always available to care for him, and even last minute bookings which I have a habit of doing. Vivo gets so excited every time we pull up to the house and I can tell he is super comfortable being there. I’ve booked many times & will continue to do so!”

“Marisol is genuinely our favorite sitter that we’ve met! She and Milo have been so incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The amount of relief and excitement I feel knowing that my pup is not only cared for but spoiled and loved is amazing. My pup is excited to get there and when I come to pick her up, she doesn’t want to leave. THAT is the telltale sign of a wonderful human and home! Dolce 🩷’s Milo (and Marisol!)”

Kirsten was wonderful with Uma! She took great care of her, kept me updated throughout the stay, and made me feel comfortable knowing Uma was in good hands. She was attentive to Uma’s needs, patient with her puppy energy, and genuinely cared about making sure she was comfortable. Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was clear that Uma was well cared for and happy during her stay. I would definitely recommend Kirsten to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Our dog Max is a new rescue and came to us with a lot of separation anxiety. We were needing a sitter who could stay home with him most of the time, and Juliette was able to accommodate! Given that he's small, she also didn't take on any other dogs during his stay, just to make sure he would be safe and comfortable. We appreciate it!

Jill and Glen just watched Nova over the 4th of July holiday weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the care they provide! They send daily updates with messages and pictures, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. It’s clear they genuinely care about making Nova feel comfortable, loved, and at home. They truly go above and beyond, and we will absolutely continue booking with them. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet sitters!

Monica was amazing with our cat!! Normally she’s very shy and can sometimes just remain hidden when boarding, as we don’t board her much. However, within minutes Monica shared pictures of her out and about which meant she was very comfortable with her. Throughout the trip she shared a lot of pics as well as updates on how she was doing. Highly recommend Monica and would use her service again. Thank you Monica!

Saleen is kind and laid back. She was super understanding and accepting of my Okeena Bean. <3 Bathed her, sent photo updates, constant communication! My dog is not the easiest dog in the park. >.< lol. Saleen did not make me feel bad at all. Like a lot of people do. Extremely greatful for her help with my baby. Saleen is AMAZING!

Savannah was an excellent dog sitter while I was out of town. They did everything in their power to ensure I felt comfortable and confident leaving Georgia behind in their care. They proactively offered details on their schedule to ensure that my dog received the care I was expecting and went above and beyond to administer my dogs medication by making her homemade pill pockets, which I was particularly delighted by. 10/10, would choose to dog sit again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
