“Dylan was a perfect fit! He is great at communicating with you, and makes the whole process smooth and easy. He is well versed in various breeds and enjoys their companionship. Our puppy was still learning, and Dylan was able to continue the process and schedule. I would highly recommend utilizing his services if you are in need of someone.”

About: Hi there! I grew up with dogs and for the last nine years, have been a mom to my beloved chiweenie named Fynn. Friends, family members, and clients trust me with their dogs, for both short and long term stays, and I’d love to care for your pup. Fynn is very active, so we do at least two long walks a day. I live in the North End, so frequently walk in Puget Park and am always happy to take pups to Point Defiance depending on exercise needs. Of course, if your dog needs more rest, I’ll take that into account as well. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication. I am in academia and currently on my summer break, so I’m home most of the time. Your dog will rarely be alone. Please reach out! Can’t wait to hang with your pup! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am free on weekdays and weekends as needed, and am available for both shorter and longer term stays. I live in an apartment but take frequent dog walks and bathroom breaks as needed. I have a nine-year-old chiweenie named Fynn who loves other dogs and will be a great buddy to your pup. I’m close to parks and Point Defiance so your dog will get plenty of exercise!
“Our pup was left in good hands with Mollie, she updated us on him while we were gone and he had fun playing with the other dogs. He was super tired and happy when he got home.”

About: Our family dog recently passed away, and I am looking to fill the whole. I do not have any pets, so your dog would get my full attention. Our dog was 15 years old when she passed, so I have some experience working with elderly dogs. I work full-time from home, and have a lot of flexibility during my day. I am available for midday visits and walks, and your dog would get my full attention and have a buddy for the weekdays. My yard is partially fenced in, so I would keep your dog on a leash when it is back there. I own my home, and it has wood floors throughout. Easy for cleanups.
“100% recommended. I met Jace through Rover just two days before Christmas, when I was desperately searching for a new pet sitter while I was out of the country. The sitter I had booked months in advance suddenly decided to kick out my senior dog with special needs. Jace had just recently started his business on Rover, and after a single phone call, I immediately realized how experienced and trustworthy he was—especially as a dog owner himself. He quickly put my mind at ease and not only took Frida in on extremely short notice, but also rescued her from a negligent situation with the sitter I had hired. Jace took care of my dog Frida for two and a half weeks, helped get her potty schedule back on track, gave her so much love, and sent the cutest daily updates while I was away. I don’t just highly recommend Jace—I am truly grateful for him. What a wonderful human. 10 out of 10 stars. He’s the best, and I will 100% hire him again.”

“Excellent experience overall with Loc. From our initial meet-and-greet prior to Vinny's stay, all the way through to picking up my pup, Loc communicated great and was flexible about our pick up and drop off times. Vinny had a great time with Rosie and the other pups at Loc's house, which I know because Loc sent me some really nice pics throughout my whole time on vacation. I would definitely book with Loc again in a heartbeat!”

“Thanks Sherry for taking such great care of my pet! She was incredibly responsible throughout the day care today. She always provides timely photo and videos and takes absolutely great care of Charli and she came home so happy that I highly recommended Sherry! Definitely will book Again!”

“It was our very first time leaving our 5 month old puppy for a trip out of town, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Brittany (and her boyfriend Jeremy!). Our fur baby had a great time staying at their home and got along so well with their pup Isis + their kitties, we will definitely use them again in the future!”

“This was Sadie's second stay with Heather, and she clearly loved it! Heather is very good at sending photos and reassuring updates. Would not hesitate to have Sadie stay with Heather again. Can thoroughly recommend.”

“Marisol is genuinely our favorite sitter that we’ve met! She and Milo have been so incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The amount of relief and excitement I feel knowing that my pup is not only cared for but spoiled and loved is amazing. My pup is excited to get there and when I come to pick her up, she doesn’t want to leave. THAT is the telltale sign of a wonderful human and home! Dolce 🩷’s Milo (and Marisol!)”

“Anita was really wonderful with our shih tzu Hunter. She gave him lots of individual attention and was careful to follow our instructions. She kept in contact with us frequently via text, sending status reports and candid pictures of him as he went about his day. She has several cats and two dogs and he did very well with all of them. It was helpful that during our initial meet-n-greet she introduced herself to him first outside her home. Then we went inside and she gave him ample time to spend in the environment with her pets. Once he came over for his actual stay he settled in quite nicely and had a great time. Anita was lovely to work with and we'd definitely send Hunter to her again.”
“Diahann was great. She treated my dog Sophie like the princess she is. Diahann put medicine in Sophie's eye. She let Sophie follow her all over the house and provided her with a bed so she wouldn't have to sit on the hardwood floor! Diahann also sent me photos every day so I knew Sophie was doing well. Sophie had a wonderful time. I will definitely use Diahann again if Sophie needs boarding.”

“Took excellent care of our active young dog. Sent photos and videos daily. He definitely had a good time playing with her dogs! Thank you for all your help while we were away!”

“Erin and her family were so wonderful!! They gave my mini aussie ample attention and love. He can be anxious when I’m gone, but with Erin, he had his own vacation while I had mine! I highly recommend 🫶🏻”

“Jen was super communicative and flexible to Mona’s needs. She sent updates throughout the day which I really appreciated. Mona came home sleepy and happy, so we definitely would (and probably will) book again!!”

“Tory provided excellent care for our 1 year old dog. He communicated often and sent pictures that showed our puppy on some beautiful, foresty walks. We will definitely leave our dog in his care again.”

“Darcia, Thank you for the great care of our family member, Boba! We’re glad Boba had a good time with your dog. Your calm and reassuring attitude really helped us know that Boba was in good hands. Thank you again! Andy”

Priscilla is awesome! She takes such great care of Max with both activity time and cuddles, and I really appreciate that she sends me updates and pictures throughout. He has such a great time with her, Millie, and other pups he might meet. We love and appreciate how he has his own little vacation with Priscilla when we're out of town.

My girl had a wonderful time and Keana was a fantastic host for her. She got lots of walks and attention while I was away. Keana was a perfect host for an anxious dog mom. I enjoyed all the photos of their adventures together and am glad to know I have a great dog sitter for the next time I’m out of town!

Brittany was amazing! My baby seemed to have had a blast! She communicated quickly and didn’t make me feel like I was bothering her checking on my pup. She sent adorable pics that made it a little easier leaving my pup for such an extended time. I would 1000% recommend her. Thank you, Brittany!!

Molly is outstanding simply put. I brought my pup to her for the past four months and had zero complaints. She loved her like her own, kept her safe and comfortable, assisted me with giving her medications & even went out of her way to drop her off at home every night. Choosing someone to care for your loved one is a difficult decision, but there is no one else I’d rather my dog be with. We miss Molly and thank her for all her help and love she gave to Miss Finley!

Kirsten was wonderful with Uma! She took great care of her, kept me updated throughout the stay, and made me feel comfortable knowing Uma was in good hands. She was attentive to Uma’s needs, patient with her puppy energy, and genuinely cared about making sure she was comfortable. Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was clear that Uma was well cared for and happy during her stay. I would definitely recommend Kirsten to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Our dog Max is a new rescue and came to us with a lot of separation anxiety. We were needing a sitter who could stay home with him most of the time, and Juliette was able to accommodate! Given that he's small, she also didn't take on any other dogs during his stay, just to make sure he would be safe and comfortable. We appreciate it!

Jill and Glen just watched Nova over the 4th of July holiday weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the care they provide! They send daily updates with messages and pictures, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. It’s clear they genuinely care about making Nova feel comfortable, loved, and at home. They truly go above and beyond, and we will absolutely continue booking with them. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet sitters!

Monica was amazing with our cat!! Normally she’s very shy and can sometimes just remain hidden when boarding, as we don’t board her much. However, within minutes Monica shared pictures of her out and about which meant she was very comfortable with her. Throughout the trip she shared a lot of pics as well as updates on how she was doing. Highly recommend Monica and would use her service again. Thank you Monica!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
