“Julie did a great job taking care of Zhuni who, at almost 15, has slowed down considerably. She sleeps a lot and is a seriously picky eater. Juli kept in touch with updates on all of these issues as well as texting cute pictures. I appreciated that she has a securely fenced yard allowing Zhuni to hang out with her pups, and sniff and pee to her hearts content. She was easy to schedule with and assured me she would not take on any other pets while she watched my cat, which brought me a lot of comfort. It was harder to find a Rover with no other pets involved than I expected. A lot of sitters on Rover take on multiple pets at a time, lock them in separate rooms or crates or have pets of their own. Those circumstances create a stressful environment for both myself and my cat so I prefer a sitter that is able to provide a stable and stress free environment. She sent me daily updates and photos which is not required but was very much appreciated. Sammy was happy and purring in all of the videos and it brought me peace of mind. She even took him outside a little for fresh air which he loves— she went the extra mile. Her communication was great & timely and she easily built trust with me. “Yet again Juli was a lifesaver! We had a death in the family resulting in my partner staying out of state with family for a month. Our senior cat gets fluids every other day & I couldn't do it myself. So Juli came over every other day for a month to help our cat get fluids. She is a pro!! About: I have dog sat many dogs and they grow on me. I get to know dogs and meet them where they are. Animals complete me, I have been able to heal in my past with the help of dogs. Cancer has been a battle of mine, service dogs, as well as exercise dogs helped me through my chemotherapy process, and recovery. I don't know what I would do without my dogs. I have had guard dogs as well and they are to most loving and protective creatures I have ever known. I am currently transitioning back into working, after 3 years of bed rest. I’ve been a pet owner since I was 6 years old, being completely responsible for feeding my fish and amphibians with supervision as a child, until I could take care of them properly with little to no help. As a teenager through middle and high school, I would dog-sit for my aunt’s dog Miko after school and walk him in the New Holly neighborhood in Seattle. As of today, I am a cat mom of two (Tsuki, 7 years old, and Fusilli, ~2 years old) and watch my boyfriend's cats (5). All 7 cats have had their rounds of tapeworms, fleas, ringworm, Urinary tract scares and more. My cats’ own medical histories have shaped my understanding of cat behavior, parasites and disease, and have provided me with a basic-moderate understanding of certain courses of action. I adore teaching my cats tricks and grooming all dogs and cats, and maintain a litter box cleaning schedule of once everyday. I also own my poop bags and small dog/large cat harness if requested. My dream is to own a field dog for hiking someday, then retire with enough land for the pup and my senior kitties can frolic and chase whatever bugs their tiny hearts desire ❤️ I’m currently looking for part time/full time work and create art in my down time. About: Just want to add a note. Because I do not have kids or a dog of my own, I regularly travel to help friends and family in other cities and states. Sometimes with sitting, often with caregiving. If you see my location change or have questions about my availability in a different location, hit me up. I’m flexible unless previously booked. I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. I work from home Monday-Friday and as long as i have WiFi, I am flexible to work around your animals schedule. Understand, the stay was over, but, still, she navigated the small issue without fail to come up with a solve that made it work for us. You can tell right away that the are experienced with dogs by the questions and approach. Hazel was living her best pupper life while staying with Erin. Elizabeth was amazing with him, he quickly decided he liked her and seemed very comfortable in her house. Elizabeth kept me updated, sent me pictures and treated my guy just the way I do (super spoiled). He came home happy, tired and for the first time, I didn’t worry the whole time I was away.
