It was harder to find a Rover with no other pets involved than I expected. A lot of sitters on Rover take on multiple pets at a time, lock them in separate rooms or crates or have pets of their own. Those circumstances create a stressful environment for both myself and my cat so I prefer a sitter that is able to provide a stable and stress free environment. About: I’ve always grown up with lots of pets, and currently my family includes 5 pugs. I have experience with very large dogs, small dogs, newborn puppies, and elderly dogs. I love walking dogs and can take them out for as long or short of a walk as they need. I also have experience giving them medications including pills, ointments, and eye drops. About: Just want to add a note. Because I do not have kids or a dog of my own, I regularly travel to help friends and family in other cities and states. Sometimes with sitting, often with caregiving. If you see my location change or have questions about my availability in a different location, hit me up. I’m flexible unless previously booked. I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. I work from home Monday-Friday and as long as i have WiFi, I am flexible to work around your animals schedule. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. About: I have grown up with animals my whole life from rodents to dogs. I have experience with labradors, basset hounds, German shepherds, Shih Tzus, and cocker spaniels. I also have had bunnies, turtles, ferrets, and I currently have 2 guinea pigs! I love all dogs, big or small! When I was in high school, I got my own yellow lab- Sedona. About: (Just to clarify that headline is from Frozen.) I'm a former dog owner and I loved my elderly dog till she passed. I've also pet sat for multiple families over the last five years. I'm familiar with high anxiety dogs, dogs with diet restrictions, I've house sat for multiple dogs and cats. I also recently helped feed and home a stray mama cat and her kittens over the summer. I approach with calm, confidence and joy. Its important to me that when I first meet an animal, the critter feels safe to approach me in their own time. Some animals can be anxious so I try not to be over stimulating. I'm a care provider to a cherished family member, so I have flexibility through out the week to care for animals when I'm not with that person. My dog of ten years that passed had a special diet for a sensitive stomache, I had to wash her bedding more often. Even though she was a small breed I still took her on walks. As she entered her golden years I frequently took care of accidents, put her in diapers, took her to the doctors for her stomach and her anxiety. Gave her medicine to ease her ailments. I do the same for the animals in my care, make sure they are loved and cared for the way their per parents outline for me. Down to walks, play time and special food requirements. Our fur buddies deserve care for the unconditional love they give us.
About: I have dog sat many dogs and they grow on me. I get to know dogs and meet them where they are. Animals complete me, I have been able to heal in my past with the help of dogs. Cancer has been a battle of mine, service dogs, as well as exercise dogs helped me through my chemotherapy process, and recovery. I don't know what I would do without my dogs. I have had guard dogs as well and they are to most loving and protective creatures I have ever known. I am currently transitioning back into working, after 3 years of bed rest. I am in remission and I wish I could be around the dogs. I usually read closely the instructions given by the owners of each client. I try my best to gain as much information so that the client feels comfortable with me, as they would their own parents. Most dogs I have taken care of will have a period of anxiety, and so I make sure to create the most comfortable environment for them.

Since I had a dog friendly motel, I only needed a daytime drop-off on the 1st day and only a few hours in the afternoon on the 2nd. for a short family get together at my son's house before getting back on the road. For me Maile's location was perfect! her home was clean & very homey with very friendly dogs and a yard. All occupants were very nice & friendly as well. Storm was extremely comfortable and had no problems going into the house on the 2nd day. Maile made my trip a success!!”

“Erin (and family 😊) were wonderful with Hazel. She can be a high energy greeter and the meet and greeent well. You can tell right away that the are experienced with dogs by the questions and approach. Hazel was living her best pupper life while staying with Erin. I highly recommend her especially if you like pics of your baby while you are separated.”
“Jennifer is just the kindest sitter ever. She and her doggie Champ are wonderful and kind humans. My little guy got his paw injured before I left on my trip and she did his best to help coordinate his care. She regularly communicated how he was doing to me, and when he needed to go to urgent care she was wonderful about getting him to a trusted family member to continue his care elsewhere. We love Jennifer and Champ and hope to see them again when Cosmo is all healed up!”
