“Michael was very prompt and very accommodating. We really appreciate his extra efforts to get to know our dog before his longer stay. Our normally shy dog warmed up to him right away and we feel really comfortable leaving our dog with him. We are looking forward to his stay with our dog.”

“Going on a 10-day trip and leaving your cats behind can be quite distressing. However, Nisa took great care during her time with our cats, ensuring they were well-fed and remained active with their toys. She also sent us some delightful photos of the cats, which was greatly reassuring. I'd recommend Nisa to anyone in need of cat care!”
About: With 17 years of hands-on pet care experience, my top priority is creating a safe, loving, and comfortable home-away-from-home for your dog. Animals have been a part of my life since childhood, and caring for dogs is something I do with joy, patience, and genuine heart. As a teacher, nurturing is in my nature. I bring that same dedication to supporting my students into caring for every pet that steps into my home; ensuring your dog feels secure, understood, and truly cared for during their stay. **Doggy Daycare** I offer doggy daycare 4pm-12am Monday through Friday and ALL day on Saturday and Sunday. I will be home during this time and can offer potty breaks every 0-2 hours. **Summer Break: July 12th - September 4th I’ll be home and able to offer potty breaks every 0-2 hours for boarding. ** **Boarding** I teach full-time Monday–Friday, so I can offer potty breaks every 7hrs during the week. Afternoons and weekends, I offer potty breaks every 0-2hrs, dog walks, playtime in the backyard, and extra bonding time. My home is designed to make dogs feel relaxed and welcome. I keep routines predictable and peaceful, giving your pup the comfort of stability while you’re away. I have experience with dogs requiring special/strict diets and oral medication.

About: I’ve taken care of dog with various ages and needs! I am more than willing to take care of senior dogs, and administer medication, abide by strict guidelines, and wake up at early hours to make sure they get the best! I’ve worked with older and younger dogs. I just adore the companionship and love that our pets give us, and I’ll be able to give them the same care you would give them as their pet owner. I currently work part time, and I am a full time student starting August 31st. I’ll be more than likely able to fit into your routine. Whether it be an early morning or a checkup at night, I can work with your availability to make what you need happen! I respect your home the same way I respect my own. It is also where your pet feels the most at ease, so I stay in open areas and maintain a calm demeanor so as not to startle any skittish pets! I love all animals dearly, so I hope I’ll be your pet’s new best friend.
“I highly recommend having Paul watch your family pet. My little Ava fell in love with him. He was thorough in his visits, gave so much affection to Ava, sent photos on walks, playing outside, and just relaxing on the sofa. This was her first Rover experience and it was magnificent. Thank you Paul!”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful with Senua. As well as being an incredibly kind person. She met my little guy where he is at with staying home while I am at work. Was flexible and super kind when we had our meet up. I was impressed with how attentive and caring she was towards my baby. And I deeply appreciated her experience with her own small dog. It made me feel even more secure leaving him with her. Even when he gave her a hard time she was able to stay cool and deal with some ‘pomittude’. I would love to have her work with him again and I know Senua would adore that as well. I highly recommend Sarah’s services. She’s got a great energy and is extremely caring of the dogs she works with.”

“I came home to a very happy and relaxed dog rather than a sick and clingy dog when left at a kennel. I received pics every day so I knew he was doing great. A great relief to me when I have to travel.”

About: Hello! My name is Destiny and I am a Tacoma local. My previous experience pet sitting includes time with dogs and cats. My first experience taking care of pets was in a long-term care situation, which required medication administration, walks, playtime, and potty cleanups. I am the owner of a sweet elder tuxedo kitty. I would love a dog of my own, but Mister Mistoffelees and apartment living does not allow it. So taking care of someone else's dogs seems like the next best thing! Looking forward to walks and playtime! I currently work from home so my schedule is somewhat flexible. Depending on what the arrangements are I can take doggos out for walks 1-2x throughout the day and am completely free after work at 5 pm. Flexible if communicated ahead of time and willing to meet beforehand to discuss pets needs. I don't offer boarding in my home as I live in a small apartment with a cat. More than happy to meet at clients home to play outside or inside, depending on levels of trust.
“McKenna has been wonderful! We have a spunky 3 month old puppy and she does really well with all of the puppy things! It is a relief to have someone so reliable and knowledgeable. We are thankful to have her in our neck of the woods!”

“Adam was great with our cats! He took great care of them and was very patient with our cat who tends to hide under the bed around strangers. He also sent lots of wonderful pictures. Highly recommended.”

“Katey was great with my cat Douglas Fur! He took to her right away and now they are fast friends. She was prompt, kind, attentive and easy to work with. I will definitely be using Katey to take good care of Doug in the future!”
“Brianna was an absolutely amazing cat sitter for our 2 cats! Thank you for being so communicative, reliable, helpful, and kind with our cats. Your photos and updates were so helpful and we hope to work together again – we definitely recommend booking with Brianna!”
About: Friends and family have come to me to take care of their fur babies! I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my entire life and know a lot of the care that should be received. I only work part time and that’s usually only in the mornings. I get off work around 1pm most days. I have plenty of time to hang out and take care of your animals! I live in an apartment currently.. I’m not able to board animals in my home. However, I’m more than happy to come to you. I’m happy to drive to a dog park, play outside or just keep your pet company!
“Pricilla was awesome. She treated my dog like family and kept me in the loop the whole time with photos and updates. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup who was clearly well taken care of. Definitely booking her again next time I’m out of town.”

About: Hello! My name is Aleece, but you can call me Lee. I’ve been a pet owner since I was 6 years old, being completely responsible for feeding my fish and amphibians with supervision as a child, until I could take care of them properly with little to no help. As a teenager through middle and high school, I would dog-sit for my aunt’s dog Miko after school and walk him in the New Holly neighborhood in Seattle. As of today, I am a cat mom of two (Tsuki, 7 years old, and Fusilli, ~2 years old) and watch my boyfriend's cats (5). All 7 cats have had their rounds of tapeworms, fleas, ringworm, Urinary tract scares and more. My cats’ own medical histories have shaped my understanding of cat behavior, parasites and disease, and have provided me with a basic-moderate understanding of certain courses of action. I adore teaching my cats tricks and grooming all dogs and cats, and maintain a litter box cleaning schedule of once everyday. I also own my poop bags and small dog/large cat harness if requested. My dream is to own a field dog for hiking someday, then retire with enough land for the pup and my senior kitties can frolic and chase whatever bugs their tiny hearts desire ❤️ I’m currently looking for part time/full time work and create art in my down time. Other hobbies include cleaning, self care, water sports, hanging out with friends and DnD. I have more than ample time to fully and responsibly give your pets the care they deserve ❤️ I don’t have a yard, yet in my client’s hime, I would take the time to learn where their food bowls, toys and favorite spots are. If your pet is timid or show signs of aggression, I would not approach as to not pose as a threat/stressor. Any instructions for pet care will be reviewed thoroughly. Given I’m a newer sitter, I will definitely ask questions when they come up

Megan and Theo became like family to us and we will greatly miss them. My pup loved their visits and created quite the bond with Theo. Megan would always go above and beyond, making my life so much easier once I got home. One of my favorite things about their visits was that Theo would leave little flowers for me that he had picked from the garden. Anyone would be lucky to have them as their Puppy Sitters. 🥰

Rachel was fantastic. My dogs seemed to really enjoy her. I have an anxious dog and she was patient and understanding. She listened and paid attention to their quirks. She was also quick with communication. I felt comfortable having her in my home and taking care of my dogs.

Elizabeth was awesome! We had to book on short notice for a long trip, and my flight got delayed, requiring us to book additional days. She was flexible, adaptable, and our dog loved her. I was nervous about the process, but Elizabeth was so reassuring, sending us updates, photos, and videos each day to help keep us connected. We’ll definitely be using her again!

Michael was very prompt and very accommodating. We really appreciate his extra efforts to get to know our dog before his longer stay. Our normally shy dog warmed up to him right away and we feel really comfortable leaving our dog with him. We are looking forward to his stay with our dog.

Aeja did an incredible job with our drop-in visits! She was reliable, communicative, and took such great care of our dogs. We loved receiving updates and photos, and it was obvious our pups were happy and comfortable with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with her again! 🐾💙

Kayla is absolutely fantastic! This was our first time utilizing rover and she made the experience so easy and stress free! She is very sweet, honest and transparent. We would get constant updates and pictures, even bonus tips on our pet. We will definitely contact Kayla again!

We’ve been working with Juli for several years now. Although we only ask her to come by intermittently, she is always our first choice. We trust her completely with our fur family. She’s an excellent communicator and completely dependable. One of the things we like the best is her comprehensive and detailed report cards and she takes lots of pictures. Juli is an absolute pro and we really appreciate her!

Loved having Hope care for our pup. She did 4 drop-in visits with feedings, walks. Gave us welcome feedback on the pup, who seemed well cared-for. Hope was easy to work with, friendly & personable, reliable. She even noticed an unplanned delivery & brought it in for us. Would recommend her with no hesitation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Tacoma with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
