“Carly is so attentive and kind with all of our animals. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon and she handled their care so professionally. I truly appreciate her attention to detail and respect of our home (:”

“I highly recommend having Paul watch your family pet. My little Ava fell in love with him. He was thorough in his visits, gave so much affection to Ava, sent photos on walks, playing outside, and just relaxing on the sofa. This was her first Rover experience and it was magnificent. Thank you Paul!”

About: With 17 years of hands-on pet care experience, my top priority is creating a safe, loving, and comfortable home-away-from-home for your dog. Animals have been a part of my life since childhood, and caring for dogs is something I do with joy, patience, and genuine heart. As a teacher, nurturing is in my nature. I bring that same dedication to supporting my students into caring for every pet that steps into my home; ensuring your dog feels secure, understood, and truly cared for during their stay. **Doggy Daycare** I offer doggy daycare 4pm-12am Monday through Friday and ALL day on Saturday and Sunday. I will be home during this time and can offer potty breaks every 0-2 hours. **Summer Break: July 12th - September 4th I’ll be home and able to offer potty breaks every 0-2 hours for boarding. ** **Boarding** I teach full-time Monday–Friday, so I can offer potty breaks every 7hrs during the week. Afternoons and weekends, I offer potty breaks every 0-2hrs, dog walks, playtime in the backyard, and extra bonding time. My home is designed to make dogs feel relaxed and welcome. I keep routines predictable and peaceful, giving your pup the comfort of stability while you’re away. I have experience with dogs requiring special/strict diets and oral medication.
“Brooklyn was great! She dropped in multiple times a day to take care of my ducks and aging cat while I was away. She’s responsive, sweet, and left detailed report cards. I definitely plan to work with Brooklyn again in the future :)”

“Katey was great with my cat Douglas Fur! He took to her right away and now they are fast friends. She was prompt, kind, attentive and easy to work with. I will definitely be using Katey to take good care of Doug in the future!”
“Adam was great with our cats! He took great care of them and was very patient with our cat who tends to hide under the bed around strangers. He also sent lots of wonderful pictures. Highly recommended.”

About: Hello! My name is Destiny and I am a Tacoma local. My previous experience pet sitting includes time with dogs and cats. My first experience taking care of pets was in a long-term care situation, which required medication administration, walks, playtime, and potty cleanups. I am the owner of a sweet elder tuxedo kitty. I would love a dog of my own, but Mister Mistoffelees and apartment living does not allow it. So taking care of someone else's dogs seems like the next best thing! Looking forward to walks and playtime! I currently work from home so my schedule is somewhat flexible. Depending on what the arrangements are I can take doggos out for walks 1-2x throughout the day and am completely free after work at 5 pm. Flexible if communicated ahead of time and willing to meet beforehand to discuss pets needs. I don't offer boarding in my home as I live in a small apartment with a cat. More than happy to meet at clients home to play outside or inside, depending on levels of trust.
About: I have dog sat many dogs and they grow on me. I get to know dogs and meet them where they are. Animals complete me, I have been able to heal in my past with the help of dogs. Cancer has been a battle of mine, service dogs, as well as exercise dogs helped me through my chemotherapy process, and recovery. I don't know what I would do without my dogs. I have had guard dogs as well and they are to most loving and protective creatures I have ever known. I am currently transitioning back into working, after 3 years of bed rest. I am in remission and I wish I could be around the dogs. I usually read closely the instructions given by the owners of each client. I try my best to gain as much information so that the client feels comfortable with me, as they would their own parents. Most dogs I have taken care of will have a period of anxiety, and so I make sure to create the most comfortable environment for them.
About: I got really serious about pet care while working at a hospital. There was an abundance of humans that needed their pet friends to be cared for, and so, I started a pretty lucrative side business house sitting and caring for my colleagues’ and friends’ pets while they traveled or worked. I was lucky enough to spend time with all personalities of cats and dogs, from young ones to seniors. I also grew up with many cats, and I have spent time living with friends and their pets throughout the years. I’m getting really interested in dog training and my algorithm is basically all dog trainers now (maybe my next career!) I am currently just starting a new job so I set my availability to Fridays at this time. When I’m more adjusted, I may be able to open up more availability on the weekends and potentially early mornings. I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment. Since my goal is to mainly do walking, in-home visits, and eventually house sitting, I don't believe my own space matters much. I am a very respectful guest and care deeply for animals. I’ve spent long weekends and weeks caring for pets or just been hired to come by for walks. I always try to be as respectful of the host’s home as I am of their pets. I will be sure and take good care of your pets in and around their own spaces!
“Stephanie once again took extraordinary care of our dogs and cat for drop-in visits when I had a last minute request because of having to serve as a juror on a trial while my husband was traveling. She is fantastic and our animals love her!”

About: I’m a behavior health tech my everyday life so I have a the patience needed to handle any pet with less than ideal behaviors. I’ve had a dog in the home for the past 30 years. Currently between jobs so this opens up my availability to open until I find another job as a behavior health tech. I love recurring walks. I will follow any and all requirements you have for your pets. People trust me with their children in a school setting. I’m fully confident in my abilities to keep your fur babies safe!
“Meg took great care of our kitty and took wonderful photos and notes of her visits. Our kitty would come running to the door to greet her. We came home to a happy cat. Meg was exceptionally responsive and communicative, we would definitely use her services again!”

“Our cat-shaped dogs were so thrilled by the attention and activity they got with Jenna! She absolutely understood the assignment haha. And we loved the pictures we got of our goofballs in action!”

About: I’ve always grown up with lots of pets, and currently my family includes 5 pugs. I have experience with very large dogs, small dogs, newborn puppies, and elderly dogs. I love walking dogs and can take them out for as long or short of a walk as they need. I also have experience giving them medications including pills, ointments, and eye drops. I am not working a full-time job until the beginning of the school year, so I will have a lot of time and flexibility to do dog walking and drop-in visits in Tacoma every day of the week. I can take dogs on long or short walks, depending on their age and what they can handle while paying attention to how the warmer weather might affect them. I can also do check-ins to feed and play with your dog or cat, making sure to give them plenty of attention and care.

About: I’ve taken care of dog with various ages and needs! I am more than willing to take care of senior dogs, and administer medication, abide by strict guidelines, and wake up at early hours to make sure they get the best! I’ve worked with older and younger dogs. I just adore the companionship and love that our pets give us, and I’ll be able to give them the same care you would give them as their pet owner. I currently work part time, so I’ll be more than likely able to fit into your routine. Whether it be an early morning or a checkup at night, I can work with your availability to make what you need happen! I respect your home the same way I respect my own. It is also where your pet feels the most at ease, so I stay in open areas and maintain a calm demeanor so as not to startle any skittish pets! I love all animals dearly, so I hope I’ll be your pet’s new best friend.
“Another great visit from Kandi. Quick responses, maintained good communication, provided everything the babies’ needed to be happy and healthy while I was gone, and was flexible when we had a change in plans that affected the visit schedule. Will definitely book again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tacoma
Michael was very prompt and very accommodating. We really appreciate his extra efforts to get to know our dog before his longer stay. Our normally shy dog warmed up to him right away and we feel really comfortable leaving our dog with him. We are looking forward to his stay with our dog.

Aeja did an incredible job with our drop-in visits! She was reliable, communicative, and took such great care of our dogs. We loved receiving updates and photos, and it was obvious our pups were happy and comfortable with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with her again! 🐾💙

Megan has been such a great help with our disabled older dog. She has been flexible with our schedule, and always communicates well with us after and during each visit. I would recommend her for any one looking for a kind and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you Megan!

Kayla is absolutely fantastic! This was our first time utilizing rover and she made the experience so easy and stress free! She is very sweet, honest and transparent. We would get constant updates and pictures, even bonus tips on our pet. We will definitely contact Kayla again!

We’ve been working with Juli for several years now. Although we only ask her to come by intermittently, she is always our first choice. We trust her completely with our fur family. She’s an excellent communicator and completely dependable. One of the things we like the best is her comprehensive and detailed report cards and she takes lots of pictures. Juli is an absolute pro and we really appreciate her!

Loved having Hope care for our pup. She did 4 drop-in visits with feedings, walks. Gave us welcome feedback on the pup, who seemed well cared-for. Hope was easy to work with, friendly & personable, reliable. She even noticed an unplanned delivery & brought it in for us. Would recommend her with no hesitation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
