“Misao is great! She’s taken care of my cat twice. She’s a great communicator and very sweet. Her attention to detail is top notch and I know my sweet boy is in good hands when I’m not there. :)”

“Amber is fantastic as always! She has been very accommodating with my schedule changes and our needs. It has been so great having someone so kind and dependable for daily check ins. She is amazing with my 2 dogs and excellent with communication. I highly recommend her! :) 10 stars!”

About: Have had dogs and cats in my house since a child, I also have a 8 month old old black lab/aussie mix! Friendly and high energy! I’m currently a real estate agent and have a basketball training facility in Tacoma, I am always working with my pup in spare time or taking him to the park! I stay in communication and am respectful of clients homes! I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I would my own. I do my best to do things the way I would want them done

About: I’ve been a pet owner since I was 5, so I have tons of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, fish, birds and reptiles. My dream is to someday open my own doggy daycare/boarding facility, because working with animals has always been my passion. I am very patient with animals, which helps me to bond with even the shyest of pets. My roll and experience at the doggy daycare I manage is overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for all dogs. Grouping dogs appropriately based on size, temperament, and play style; monitor play yards to prevent overstimulation or conflict. Maintain strict sanitation and health protocols, ensuring all kennels, play areas, and equipment are deeply cleaned and sanitized daily. Manage stock levels for dog food, treats, cleaning supplies, first aid kits, and office materials. Recruit, interview, and train new daycare attendants and pack leaders on dog behavior, safety protocols, and company policies. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal caregiver-to-dog ratios, keeping labor costs aligned with daily attendance. Provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment. Train staff to recognize early signs of stress, illness, or aggression in dogs, and ensure they know how to handle emergencies or dog fights calmly and effectively. Greet pet parents during check-in/check-out, address questions, and handle client concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy. Conduct temperament evaluations (meet-and-greets) for incoming dogs to ensure they are a good fit for open-pack play. Maintain accurate up-to-date digital records for all dogs, ensuring required vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP) are current. Provide owners with detailed updates, report cards, or incident reports regarding their dog’s behavior, health, and socialization. Administer medications, supplements, or specialized diets accurately as requested by owners. Provide immediate pet first aid for minor cuts, scrapes, or injuries sustained during play. Safely transport or coordinate the transport of a pet to a partner veterinarian in the event of a medical emergency. I love all the dogs like they are on my own. IAlthough I went to school to be a vet tech at Pierce, I couldn’t see myself in the vet med environment. Caring for animals has and always will be my passion. I am available for walks and check ins at this time. My availability is open all day Saturdays, sundays and Thursdays. And limited availability Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays as I work full time at a doggy daycare/boarding facility here in Lakewood. I’ll give your fur baby lots of love and attention and keep them calm and comfortable while mom/dad are away. I always do a yard/gate check before letting them outside. I will always leave your home in the same or better condition that I arrived in.

About: Hello. My name is Joelle and I have been raising and taking care of animals my entire life. From spending every summer on my Aunt's farm down in Kansas to always having a dog and cat in my own home. I travel pretty far to pet sit and your animals always get the snuggles, exercise and love that is needed and requested. I worked for a 24/hr vet ER in Seattle for 2 years and gained more experience on small and major emergencies. I can give your pet meds* including fluids and will treat your babies as if they were mine. I look forward to working with you but especially taking care of your furry loved ones. I have a lot of senior clients but also have puppies as well. Years of experience and a lots of animal love all for your babies plus your reassurrance that your babies will be in good hands. Thank you for checking me out. Always smiling, Joelle. *please note that depending on the type of medication(s) this can be an extra charge. Contact me with your situation for details I make my own schedule and mostly work from home so I can easily work with your animal's needs. I come prepared with lots of questions for you to make sure I have everything I need to make sure your furry ones have the best time ever. I always come to your home because it's not only easier for the pet to only have to get used to a new person but it's also easier for everyone involved because then you also have a house sitter at the same time. I am big about safety and will take care of any small household needs that you may have during your time away. I.e watering plants, bring in mail/packages, taking out the garbage, etc. I also request that you fill out my emergency form in case there are any issues that happen during your time away. This does not happen often (once in my 30 years see review from past client) but as someone who worked at a 24-hour vet ER I like to be prepared. I will go over everything on our first visit together when we meet and we both decide whether we are compatible with each other to take on whatever job you need filled. I do hope to work with you and especially your furry babies.
“I will absolutely book again! Qing exceeded expectations! Qing is very experienced, knowledgeable, communicative and detail oriented. My grumpy cat is on prescribed food and has chronic kidney failure as he ages and genetic asthma which required daily inhaling medication and oral pills. She precisely administered all meds and diets without any issue at all! She’s very professional and organized. Another sitter with vet experience canceled on us last minute and Qing is the safest and best option to me!”

“Briana and Jamal were absolutely wonderful with my senior dog. They were responsive, sent great updates, and were very timely with their visits. Will definitely be hitting them up for help with my girl again.”

“Haley checked in on my dog while I was away for the day. She did a great job feeding, walking, etc. I also really appreciated the detailed report she wrote about how the check-in went. I came back home to a very happy dog.”

About: A dog is this woman’s best friend. My pup & I love to go for walks & meet and play with other pups. Since I was little little I’ve had some sort of pet in my life. I’d love to meet and include your best friend into my life! I’m currently working full-time but my schedule is flexible in that if I am able to switch my hours around to care for your pet if need be. I love to walk, pet and snuggle with dogs. I love short walks as well as long walks depending on your dogs level of energy.
“Kim is reliable, trustworthy, and great with the dogs! Great communication! I’ve had her come for house stays as well as visits and will not hesitate to continue to work with her.”

“Very diligently took notes during the initial home walkthrough, very communicative during each of her visits with the kitties. Overall, a stellar pet-sitting experience and will absolutely be booking her in the future.”

About: I have had many dogs and taken of care many. All sizes and types. I absolutely love animals and take great care of them. I can follow any instructions you may have. They will be loved as if they were my own. We will have plenty activities to do and if they're not to active of a dog then they're more than welcome to just sit and watch tv with me! Dogs aren't just pets, they're family. For dog walking/house sitting I like to let the dogs have plenty of outside time and let them explore (supervised) and play! We have an acre of backyard(fenced) for them to run and play! I only work nights and my husband stays home with our 2 year old so someone is always home to give the dogs attention! In the morning after breakfast we usually play in the back yard for a while, and then my dogs like to relax inside after before I go to work. Then they usually wander outside with my husband and two year old walking the yard and playing ball. I have a fenced yard, and very friendly dogs with tons of energy to play! In my clients home I’m very respectful and clean. I’ll always treat your pups as if they’re my own.

About: Extreme dog lover! Extensive medical experience, very active person and I have a very spoiled but well behaved Labrador retriever of my own. I’m very well versed in obedience training as well and can help with basic commands. My dog can sit, lay down, heel, fetch a ball, frisbee, or stick. He also swims during the warmer months and gets exercise everyday. Mental and physical stimulation are very important factors to a dogs health and obedience. I would love to help you out and love on your puppers as much as I love on my own. Bonus points if my pup can come along and they play nicely together. I’m new to this app so let’s see how it goes! Best wishes finding the perfect fit! I work part time as a nurse so my schedule varies. On my days off I’d love to incorporate another dog into my routine and have a play date for Lincoln. I have a shared yard, and put my dog on a 25ft leash when it’s potty time. There is not a fully fenced yard. We also frequent the Steilacoom dog park so if your dog does well in that environment we can go on field trips.

“Sierra has done check-ins, walks, and overnights for our Beagle. She is reliable, trustworthy, always on time, friendly and sends us lots of pictures and updates. Most importantly our dog loves spending time with Sierra. We feel lucky to have found her. I highly recommend Sierra.”

“Micayla is reliable and very communicative. She checks on my cat when I'm out of town. I always feel that my home is safer when she visits everyday, and I know my cat is well taken care of and well loved when she comes over. We love Micayla, and highly recommend her!”

“Stephanie once again took extraordinary care of our dogs and cat for drop-in visits when I had a last minute request because of having to serve as a juror on a trial while my husband was traveling. She is fantastic and our animals love her!”

Tatiana was wonderful! She took great care of our cat and dog over the weekend and kept us updated throughout each visit with detailed notes and photos. It was such a relief to be away knowing our pets were in good hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Kim is a fantastic sitter. I’ve tried several sitters for my two pups that both have very differing needs, Kim is by far the best. She understands dog’s needs. Leaving the dogs with her adds a level of relaxation to our trips knowing my precious pups are being well cared for.

Bella showed a polite professionalism when it came to the care of our dogs. She did research on handling techniques better suited for our specific dog breed and came up with ways to make them more comfortable around her, in a short timeframe mind you. She went above and beyond our expectations and we will surely try to book her in the future!

Angela was nothing short of amazing. My corgi, gizmo isn’t the easiest dog to deal with due to his past in his last home he was in. She walked my little man a lot and made sure he was taken care of. 20/10 would recommend to have her take care of your fur family

Noah is a fantastic pet sitter. Communication is timely and straight forward. Even our shy pets are interested in playing and interacting during visits. Reliable, caring, and attentive. After hiring Noah on multiple occasions over the years, we’ve not had a single issue or concern. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lakewood with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
