“Katie came to our rescue after another sitter canceled on us just hours before we needed to leave for our long vacation. She even made time to stop by our home during working hours before we left to make sure she understood the nuances of our home, as well as our cats needs and habits. (Added bonus - she has base access!) She was super patient with our shy boys during her visits, generously giving a little more of her time so they could warmup to her for some daily socialization. She reliably sent daily photo updates on which helped us stay connected to them while we were away. Her pet sitting services are easily 5-stars. Book now without hesitation.”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

About: Devoted owner of pitbull-boxer mix, Humane Society rescue for 13+ years until he passed last summer. Have always had dogs in my life. Heart too bruised to adopt again, but too big to not be in service to the best creatures on earth. Empty nester with an incredibly flexible schedule. I'm a younger, newly retired k-12 public educator that walks EVERY day. After losing our dog last summer, I would love to share my energy and heart with new-to-me dog friends. Incredibly dependable and committed. Clear communicator. We have a secure back yard, one level home in quiet cul-de-sac for short term stays. Love engaging and caring for all precious pups ❤️
About: I have owned and cared for pet's since I was a little kid. I have trained all my dogs since they were puppies and love rewarding them when they've learned something new. Dogs and cats alike tend to love following me around. They seem to attach easily to me. Seeing them happy and truly smile is a deep joy of mine. My schedule is very flexible since I am home all day, every day of the week. My day's consist of kiddo drop-off's and pick ups. I have a fully fenced backyard, love taking walks around town, and have one extra large dog who absolutely loves when other dogs come to play.
About: With over a decade of dedicated experience as a pet sitter, my passion for animals runs deep. I've spent the last 10 years providing dependable and loving care to countless dogs, cats, and other pets, treating each one with the same love and attention I gave my own. My long history in pet care has equipped me with the skills to handle everything from daily walks and feedings to administering medications and managing special needs, giving you complete peace of mind while you are away. I look forward to meeting you, Payton I work as a nanny 7-2 Monday-Thursday. I will not be out of the house for longer than those 8 hours for work before checking in on them. Caring for a pet in a clients home can often be easier than having them stay at my home. Most pets are most comfortable with areas that are familiar to them which is no issue at all to me. I’m flexible and don’t mind if I commute to work.
“Alicia did a wonderful job caring for my babies! She was willing to learn how to care for my special needs diabetic cat and was very communicative with me about how he was doing while I was away. I did not have to worry about him at all! She even went out of her way to watch videos on how to use his glucometer before our visits began. I will definitely be using her again if needed!”

“Sarah was wonderful! She was very communicative throughout the entire time and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our pet was well cared for and comfortable with her. We truly appreciated the extra effort she put into keeping us informed. Highly recommend Sarah if you’re looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter! 🐾”

My schedule is flexible, but a few days a week I step out for mid-morning local errands and appointments that take no more than 5 or 6 hours maximum. Outside of those hours, your pets will have my full attention. I'm also available for dog walking and drop ins from 9am to 7pm to check on your cuties and take care of their needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. Please view screenshots of my verified reviews directly in my photo gallery! =) . For peace of mind, I highly recommend an in-person Meet & Greet before our first scheduled service. This helps establish a great rapport between us and, most importantly, between me and your pets. That way, I’m already a familiar face to your fur babies when I arrive for the sit, and we can start off on the right paw! . I am glad to care for well-behaved large dogs! I am comfortable walking a single large dog that might pull a bit, but to ensure safety, I prefer not to walk two strong pullers simultaneously. I had a frustrating experience once trying to use those silly backpack harnesses / leashes on my human twins when they were toddlers and they tried to run in opposite directions at the Puyallup Fair or kept going around my legs so I couldn’t walk 😂

“Sierra has done check-ins, walks, and overnights for our Beagle. She is reliable, trustworthy, always on time, friendly and sends us lots of pictures and updates. Most importantly our dog loves spending time with Sierra. We feel lucky to have found her. I highly recommend Sierra.”

About: I will make my home your pets away from home. I strive to provide loving care to your furry family member. I have been around furry friends my entire life. I am experienced with senior dogs nearing the end of their life. by providing fluids, medication, special diets, and extra special care and love. Your pets have access to a fenced back yard with potty breaks every 2 hours (unless your dog needs more breaks in cases of puppies or senior dogs), daily walks, and furniture. Please consider me when booking your next home away from home for your furry family member.
“Kim is reliable, trustworthy, and great with the dogs! Great communication! I’ve had her come for house stays as well as visits and will not hesitate to continue to work with her.”

About: Always check to see if the dog has food and water, especially during hot weather. I always play with the dog no matter if I'm tired. I live near a dog park so I visit there with my sister's dog when I watch him. I have had dogs of my own as well. I can work with any size of dog or breed of dog. Willing to work around your schedule as well. Thank you.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 20. I have personally had 9 dogs, 2 of which are still living. They are a German Shepherd and a mixed hound. I also foster dogs from time to time. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, with dogs that need any special medication, as one of my dogs was a diabetic and blind. Also, I am comfortable with dogs that have aggression issues, as long as we work out how to address them before your dog stays with me, and no one gets hurt. Two of my German Shepherds have aggression issues that I had to work through. A little about me: I am going back to get my master's and teach. Currently, I am substitute teaching, and we undergo a very thorough background check, including fingerprints and a check with the FBI. I am willing to provide long-term boarding for deployments or similar situations. That is the case; we can discuss the details and the long-term care rate. I have a very large fenced yard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play. It is 1/3 of an acre. I have radiant heat in the floors of my house, and most of the time, the dogs lie on the nice, warm floor. I do have a camera in the backyard. I can give you access while your dog is staying here with me. :) I’m sorry, I cannot take any more neutered dogs. The few I have had have been working all over my house, and it doesn’t matter how much cleaning you do, or how special the treatments are, they don't work. It’s a big problem with unneutered dogs. I do hope you consider neutering your dog. I am currently working to go back and get my masters and education to be a teacher. I am available all days right now and flexible on times. I have a large yard that is fully fenced with a 6 foot fence. I treat pets as part of my family but keep them well behaved and mannered. I have fostered dogs before too, and I always try to meet the dog where they are at whether they are stressed, fearful, or have a lot of. For example, if they need a lot of exercise we go on walks and play several times a day. I find a happy dog is a happy life.
“Bailey was great with my grumpy old big dog. Most people are scared of him, but she handled him like a pro and kept him calm the whole time. You can tell she really knows dogs and isn’t easily intimidated. I was super impressed and would definitely book her again.”
“Will be using again! Very friendly and communicative!! Sent me photos of my pups 🐶 & gave me a detailed report which I loved! It gave me peace of mind that they were in great hands!!”

Steilacoom dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kim is a fantastic sitter. I’ve tried several sitters for my two pups that both have very differing needs, Kim is by far the best. She understands dog’s needs. Leaving the dogs with her adds a level of relaxation to our trips knowing my precious pups are being well cared for.

Kennedy is incredible! I was hesitant to hire a dog walker because I worried my dog wouldn’t connect with them or they wouldn’t be able to handle her properly. However, Kennedy immediately won over my 2-year-old vizsla, who can be a bit nervous in new situations and around new people. From the start, Kennedy also put me at ease with her calm, empathetic, and highly communicative approach. Her deep knowledge of dog behavior is truly impressive, and she is incredibly in tune with my dog’s specific needs. She has effortlessly handled situations and behaviors that I often find challenging, doing so with confidence, skill, and zero judgment. I feel so lucky to have found Kennedy and only wish I had sooner. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog as if they were her own, Kennedy is the one!
