“Bobbi took wonderful care of Isaac and Jefe while we were away. When we returned, both dogs were clearly happy and comfortable which says everything. She made sure Isaac received his medications on schedule and handled the extra work of cleaning up after Jefe (who isn’t fully house-trained) with patience and kindness. Even with a tight 30-minute window, Bobbi somehow managed to get everything done and fit in a couple walks. She truly had it down to a science. It gave us great peace of mind knowing the dogs were in such capable, caring hands. We're very grateful and would absolutely book with Bobbi again.”

“Alexa & Connor were wonderful cat sitters for us and we highly recommend them! They took great care of our boys, especially our older cat that needs twice a day medication. They fed them, cleaned up, and spent time giving them attention, and sent detailed notes/photos on each visit which we really appreciated.”

“Dana was great! She was able to follow instructions for a complicated litter box and food situation. She even cleaned up the area, which I really appreciate. I’d be using her again for my future travels.”

“Misao took amazing care of our cat while we were out of town. She was very conscientious, gave us regular updates, brought in our mail and packages, and left the house cleaner than when we left. Not only was she incredibly sweet, she was timely, followed our detailed instructions perfectly and was overall a great pet sitter! Highly recommend and would hire again :)”

About: Hi! I’m Paula, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up helping care for animals on my family’s farm in Colombia and later gained experience working in a veterinary clinic, which taught me how to safely handle animals, recognize when something isn’t quite right, and provide attentive care for pets with different needs and personalities. Today, I share my life with dogs of my own and understand how important it is to find someone you trust when you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a quiet companion to stick to their routine, I adjust my care to fit what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I have experience with: • Puppies and high-energy dogs • Senior pets • Large breed dogs • Administering medications • Multi-pet households • Shy or anxious animals When I’m caring for your pet, communication is a priority. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how they’re doing. My goal is simple: I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and consistent care for pets throughout the day. While I have a few work responsibilities that only require a couple of hours here and there, they don’t interfere with my ability to prioritize pet care. Additionally, while I do have dogs of my own, they are a shared responsibility within my household, meaning their care does not take away from my ability to fully focus on the pets I’m sitting. This flexibility allows me to accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and any special care needs without interruptions. Whether it’s an overnight stay, multiple visits a day, or drop-in check-ins, I ensure that pets stay on their normal routine and receive the attention they need while their owners are away. My priority is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I provide pet sitting exclusively in my client’s home, allowing pets to remain in their familiar environment, which helps reduce stress and maintain their routine. When caring for pets, I follow their specific schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any other special needs they may have. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, adjusting my care to match their personality—whether they need extra playtime, gentle reassurance, or space to relax. Additionally, I respect my clients’ homes by keeping everything clean, securing doors and gates, and ensuring a tidy environment while they’re away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel at ease knowing their pets are well cared for.
About: Throughout my life I've had 4 dogs. Currently I have two, with one being a 2-year-old pup I've been training ever since I adopted her and one that's pretty old and requires some special care. I used to work as a dog groomer for a business called Kendra's Grooming and I would watch her dogs when she went away with her family for vacation. For Kendra's Grooming I would bathe, dry, and hold dogs whenever needed. All of my classes are online currently for the summer and I'm open whatever day of the weekdays and Saturdays along with whatever time or for however long. So, I'm able to work whatever time is needed. I would be able to keep a constant eye on your pup, take them on however many walks you would want, and would be able to care for them in whatever way is needed. I've worked with animals with all sorts of personalities and in varying stages of health, so I can work with any form of animal, and I can accommodate for any of your pet's unique needs.

About: I am a huge animal lover! I own a cat and dog of my own and have been responsible to take care of my family’s pets since I was young. I have done pet sitting since I was 14. I currently am enrolled in school for most mornings and have a part time job. I still am available to play and spend time with your animals from noon to late evenings from Sunday-Saturday! I make sure doors are closed and environments are safe to play and have an animal in. My top priority is the animals safety at all times.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover. When I returned to Washington in 2013, my roommate, who had show dogs, taught me how to raise them for two years. I’m a dog enthusiast through and through, and life feels incomplete without a furry companion by my side. Currently, I’m unemployed and studying for my real estate license exam, so I have ample time to dedicate to my furry friends. My schedule is flexible and can accommodate any pet’s needs. When I take my furry family for walks, I ensure we both wear high-visibility gear so that everyone knows I’m carrying precious cargo. I’m also a vlogger, and I love sharing memorable moments with all my furry mates..
“Qing is very organized, easy to communicate with and impressed me with her exceptional skills handled my senior cat’s medication schedule very well! Qing follows all of my instructions precisely, monitored for changes, and kept me updated with long detailed notes and lots of photos. My cat can be anxious around new people but Qing never disappoints as she handled introductions slowly and respectfully. Her behavior expertise made all the difference and I felt completely at ease! I would always highly recommend her!”

About: I have loved dogs my whole life but have never had one of my own. Because of this, I’ve become the go-to guy for all my friends’ dogsitting needs. I spent 2020 as a professional dog walker in Boston and fine tuned my skills at handling multiple dogs at a time. I have picked up training skills and also enjoy taking photos of my furry friends! Additionally, I have cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Every dog is different in how much attention or exercise they need and I’m always ready to adapt to best take care of them. I love getting to know dogs and their unique personalities and I hope I can get to know yours too! While I may be a dog person, I love all animals and have met my share of cool cats so please consider me to care for all kinds of fur babies. I’m currently caring for two golden doodles, Muffin & Brandy, for the summer. If you ask them, we have a great routine of food, sleep and play! I know every pet has specific needs and I am always looking to meet those so they can live their best lives. I’m capable of handling dogs with high energy levels or chill out with kitties that just want to snooze. I’m always vigilant as well since I know our pals can sometimes be sneaky.
“Very communicative and friendly. They left my house clean and smelling good despite the new wet food diet the cats are on. Yuck! No wet food smell or litter box smells! We came home to happy cats. Thanks!!”
“Briana hands down will always be my first call when I need care for my kitties. She is so kind, responsive and provides updates to give me ample piece of mind when I’m gone.”

“My husband and I have very different schedules and Katelyn was able to accommodate us and send us plenty of updates of our pups 💗 We are so happy to have found a reliable sitter in our new neighborhood, especially considering we have so many pets. We will definitely continue to use her assistance for future out of town trips! 😊”

About: Have had dogs and cats in my house since a child, I also have a 8 month old old black lab/aussie mix! Friendly and high energy! I’m currently a real estate agent and have a basketball training facility in Tacoma, I am always working with my pup in spare time or taking him to the park! I stay in communication and am respectful of clients homes! I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I would my own. I do my best to do things the way I would want them done
“Kim is a fantastic sitter. I’ve tried several sitters for my two pups that both have very differing needs, Kim is by far the best. She understands dog’s needs. Leaving the dogs with her adds a level of relaxation to our trips knowing my precious pups are being well cared for.”

“Dee Anne did a wonderful job watching our kitties, she sent photos everyday, played with them, and made sure they were well taken care of. We will definitely use her whenever we go out of town again, and we would highly recommend her to anyone who needs pet care while they are away.”

About: I have had pets since I was born, and from age 5 I started to help withtheir care. I have always had a deep love for animals. I have had cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, etc. I may not be a professional, however, I believe I am pretty knowledgeable about cats and dogs, their care, and some training. 3rd year in college, studying mathematics at WSU. I have had pets all my life back home and I loved them all sooo much. I am free most of days of the week in between my classes, good for drop ins and dog walks :) Lots of play, cuddle, excercise and attention. What ever the pet needs and wants, I try my best to fullfil. If they need to let out energy, let them play in the yard, if they need alone time, let them nap, etc. Lots of toys and enrichment activities, and lots of love.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Steilacoom
Mitchell was amazing! Very communicative and did everything we requested of him. Booked drop ins for two nights and two mornings. Our cat Miko loved the attention and received lovings when he allowed lol. Our two other cats were a lot more shy. Treven and I are very appreciative of Mitchell (and the kiddos 😉)!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
