About: I grew up with dogs and cats as a child, and started doing pet care for neighbors as soon as I could. Caring for pets continued through college, getting connected through friends to walk dogs in between classes. When I moved to the PNW, I discovered Rover and have been sitting and walking ever since. The recent gap in my services was from moving down to University Place and then focusing on my own dog, Winston, for the first two years after his adoption. I am only offering walks and drop-ins (no long term or overnight care). My pup Winston will stay at home whenever I am booked for services so that I can give your pet(s) 100% of my attention. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels and have experience with quite a few behavioral concerns as well. I am very comfortable working with pets that struggle with: - leash reactivity - anxiety around people or other animals - medical issues, including those that require medication administration or emergent care - pain and mobility issues due to aging - food sensitivities/diet restrictions I also love working on dog training whether that’s loose leash walking techniques or just having your pup learn or practice tricks as a part of a drop in visit. I know the feeling of leaving your pet with a Rover sitter for the first time, especially when they have a history of medical issues or anxiety, so I always send detailed updates with photos to keep you at ease. I’m so excited to be starting my services again and hope to meet you and your pets soon! I am taking a break from work before beginning a fully remote role as a consultant in a few months, offering me a ton of flexibility to set my own schedule. Once I begin working again, advance notice will make it easier for me to schedule my meetings around Rover bookings. I live in home with my partner in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. I typically refrain from off leash activities, interactions with other dogs/people, or rigorous activities like hiking or running unless I have permission from the owners and repeat experience with the pet.

When I have those they are pre-planned in advance and I can give you details upon your sitting request. I try to be as non-invasive as possible. I bring my own blankets, towels & silverware. I like to make sure the daily routine of your animal is as close to it usually is. I keep dogs on leashes no matter what when on walks! And usually keep them contained when loading anything in or out to avoid any running away/chasing them around kind of drama. Anything you recommended to me or want me to do I will make sure happens to ensure your pets & home are safe. For boarding I have a very large fenced back yard with a locked gate which is the only access outside. There's also neighborhoods around with side walks for walks. I do have a hotel styled lock at the top of my front door that makes it impossible for the kids to accidentally open it and let any animals out. I also usually for boarding attach an air tag to the animal while they are at my house for extra precaution. No such thing as too safe!

About: Dogs and other domestic pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes have been a part of my life since I was a young child growing up in rural Kansas, and I truly believe they are a family member. They can be therapeutic and loving towards you in ways you didn't know you needed. Please consider me to help not only care for your dog/pet but to also show them some love and gratitude while in my presence. I am currently a stay-at-home mom while my boys are in elementary and middle school. I will have the most time to care for your pets during the day while my kids are in school, as well as sometimes late afternoon and evening depending on after school activities. I have a fenced in yard but do live on Joint Base Lewis McChord, located on the North Fort side. The yard is well-maintained with natural grass and plenty of space to run around. I have one dog that gets along well with others and loves to have play dates. He is older so he likes to take naps and enjoy the sunshine!

About: We are a married couple that both have experience in caring for animals for both of our entire lives. We deeply understand how much trust is involved when someone else is looking after your pets. I (Alexa) have grown up with furry companions and have always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Connor has also spent his life caring for pets and understands the responsibility and attention every animal needs. Between us, we have experience caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, including high energy dogs, large and small breeds, senior pets, and animals who need various medications. We have cared for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, along with our own animals! Alexa has also volunteered at local animal shelters and has had the pleasure of listening to Lee Asher speak in person. We are currently proud pet parents to a small dog, a large dog, a mischievous cat, and a senior kitty, so we know firsthand that every pet has their own routine, quirks, and needs. In a clients home, we will respect your space and go places that are only necessary to your pets care & safety. We make sure to always clean before we go, and believe in leaving spaces exactly as you’ve left them for us.
