“Rikke was outstanding once again with Owen & Wilson. Our fur babies have so much fun at her home. It’s always so nice to get the pictures of our boys along with Neville, Luna and the other furry friends that she cares for.”

“Jen was wonderful with our dogs. I was worried about leaving our 16 year old senior Shih tzu, but she was great with him. Her regular updates gave us peace of mind. We will 100% be rebooking soon!”
“I can tell that Onyx had an amazing time with Ricardo and his wife. He had other friends to play with and they told me that he loved a ball that he was playing with. I am so happy that I found Ricardo for Onyx. I feel so at peace with leaving my pup with him.”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life! Growing up, I had dogs both big and small, as well as cats. Now I have a dog (June) and a cat (George) of my own. They are the loves of my life! I have experience with puppies and seniors, as well as administering medication to dogs and cats. I’ll treat your pet as if it were my own! I am currently in school, and it is self-paced, so my schedule is quite flexible! I can provide pet care basically any time, and adjust my school schedule accordingly. If I am caring for a pet in a client’s home, I will be sure they feel comfortable and safe with me. If I’m caring for a pet in my own home, it is important that they are comfortable with cats and other dogs. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space to play!
“Ilse and her family were amazing caregivers for our dog. We highly recommend. Communication and care could not be better. River was happy and well cared for. Regular walks, cuddles, and attention. Pictures, videos and updates daily made us very comfortable with his stay. Thank You for caring for him as your own.”

“Alyssa was very dependable, caring & made sure to update us on our kitties progress. Our cat is very shy & scared but managed to warm up to Alyssa & cuddle with her. Told us a lot & would definitely recommend her & trust her again for our scaredy cat! She is a gem!!”

“Angela is an excellent dog sitter. Our dog had a fun vacation of her own at Angela's home. She had the run of the house and yard with another dog to play with and Angela sent us pictures of her having fun. We have left our dog with Angela twice now and already planning a third trip without our young dog because we know she is in good hands with Angela.”

About: My name is Samantha! I am teacher and have breaks to help out other dog owners. I have owned dogs my whole life. I am very safe and responsible and am used to managing 30 kids all day, I can definitely handle a couple pups! I will be very respectful of your time and can be flexible to accommodate you and your pup. I love going in walks, and would love to take yours on safe ones as well. I can do drop in visits and overnights as well, thank you!! I am off for tbe summer so I have lots of time currently! I no longer have pets of my own anymore, so it's even easier for me to make space in my schedule. I have a yard but it is not fully fenced so pets would always be leashed. I no longer have any animals in my home.
“Brandon is always great with Finn, and I’m not sure which of the two are more excited for the visit. Fantastic with communication and considerate of the time zones and my strange work schedules when I’m away for updates.”

“Excellent care giver for your pup! Samantha makes leaving your pet as easy as possible. We are definitely nervous pet parents of an old man of a dog, with some special needs. Samantha expertly provides all his cares and provides frequent pics and updates. I know our pup gets all the snuggles and love (so much so we had to coax him to come home with us). Thank you again.”
“Erin (and family 😊) were wonderful with Hazel. She can be a high energy greeter and the meet and greeent well. You can tell right away that the are experienced with dogs by the questions and approach. Hazel was living her best pupper life while staying with Erin. I highly recommend her especially if you like pics of your baby while you are separated.”

“We know our high maintenance princess will be well cared for, safe, and loved, every time we bring her to stay with Dianna! She keeps her combed out and takes care of all her special needs. We love receiving all the photos and communication so we always feel reassured that our baby girl is doing well. We will continue to bring her for our trips!”

“Cindy was wonderful and I thought the process went smoothly. She is really nice and was communitive about how Chino was doing throughout the weekend. Thanks for the reassurance and the flexibility to do a pre meet up. I would definitely use Cindy again for future boarding!”

“Our big boy Simba has had the best time staying with Jordin. She sent us pictures and videos which we really appreciate and he seemed happy to see us when we picked him up but also wagging his tail as he said goodbye. We have found our new favorite place to leave him. Thank you Jordin.”

One of the best sitters we’ve ever had!! Xiatotong was communicative and so loving to our two boys. They got lots of walks and time in the yard and even some tasty treats in their food. We loved knowing the boys were on their own vacation while we were away!!

.Maggie was a pleasure to work with. We made a last minute appointment, and she was extremely amenable to meeting up with us, last minute. Our dog took to her right away. She showed us around and her house and yard were clean, and most importantly, safe. Apparently he sat in her lap the majority of the time that he wasn't playing outside. Our dog has an extreme fear of us leaving him. We never get to go out because of this. He didn't cry or scream while we were gone. Yes, he's that bad!!. He felt very comfortable with Maggie, and wasn't clingy after we got home. Thank you Maggie for making him feel safe and at home. You can trust her and we will definitely use her again!!!!

Alex and her lab are fantastic with my pup. She has a dog that my pup loved to play with in the large yard and a young child that my dog enjoyed splashing in a pool with! Alex is quick to communicate and easy to work with, very responsible with instructions and items sent- like a special harness and food timing. Thanks Alex!

Monica was a delight to work with. She constantly kept us informed about how Luna was doing and sent us daily photos of how Luna was fitting in to the daily routine there. We were informed of the frequent walks and to her overall wellness and comfort. Thank you Monica for making our trip so worry free.

Judith was great. She and her husband really care for dogs and it shows with how they cared for our dog. She provided daily updates on how our dog was acclimating to her new environment and with the other dogs in her care. The large backyard and doggie door were a huge plus since we knew our little girl loves to go outside a lot and run. We won’t hesitate to book again.

Coguie will miss her favorite sitter auntie Rachel and Chris. As always, this last stay of Coguie with Rachel before our move was a pleasant one and full of care and love to our princess. If you need to be away from your fur baby for a couple of days, I highly recommend Rachel as a pet sitter. You will be at peace knowing your fur baby will be well taken care of and spoiled.

Carmen is an absolute dream and was incredibly helpful and the perfect fit to care for my iggy! Communication was smooth, fast and seamless. The photos and videos she sent were awesome, showing my ‘lil guy having a blast and “living his best life” ! She even had adorable little outfits that he wore during his stay! I can’t rate her professionalism, caring and thoughtful communication high enough! Especially as my iggy was not accustomed to being away from me, I was blown away how contented he was from the very start.

Ari and his wife Linda were absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. They were very communicative throughout the stay and regularly sent photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Their two dogs helped ours feel comfortable and at home right away, and it was clear our dogs felt safe around Ari, his family, and the other dogs. We really appreciated how responsible Ari was in suggesting a trial run before we left our dogs for a couple of weeks—it showed how thoughtful and experienced he is. He also has a great yard where the dogs can run around and play. We’re so happy to have found Ari and Linda and feel confident knowing we have someone we trust to look after our dogs in the future. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
