“We are so thrilled we left Lola with Kristine! She was absolutely wonderful. We got pictures multiple times a day and if we messaged Kristine, she responded to us very quickly. We picked up our dog after 4 nights and this was the happiest we’ve seen her leaving boarding! We’re definitely comfortable leaving Lola with Kristine in the future.”

“Our first time using Kristine was wonderful! My doggie has anxiety and she took wonderful care of her. She sent several pics of her playing and snuggling while I was gone. When I picked her up she was happy and went back to Kristine for pets even though I was there. I will definitely use her again!”

“Anastasiia was an excellent caregiver. I was really nervous about leaving my dog behind while I went on a trip because he’s very old and has special dietary needs. He needs extra help and encouragement to eat. Anastasiia sent me photos and updates every day. My dog had a great appetite thanks to her attention and was full of energy when he arrived home. Her kindness and dedication put me at ease so that I could enjoy my trip without worrying.”

“Mariko is an excellent dog sitter. She took wonderful care of our 2 dogs for the weekend. She kept excellent communication and sent me many videos and photos. Will definitely ask her to sit for our dogs again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Keri & Kerry provided a home away from home for our dog, Aithusa. Communication was excellent and the pictures they sent gave us a sense of ease, seeing him happy while we were away.”

“I've boarded Luna with Nari a handful of times now and she's always had a great time playing with Soy and Sundae! Nari always sends a lot of great photos/videos of Luna throughout the day and provides very detailed updates. I've never once felt anxious or nervous of Luna being in Nari's care while being on vacation. Luna absolutely loves her and her pups and I'm definitely going to be a regular when it comes time to board Luna again! Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely fantastic experience! I received multiple updates, photos and videos of my dog while she was in Ren's care. I was able to rest easy knowing Butters was having a great time, and being well cared for! Would Absolutely use Ren again in the future!”

About: I’ve raised several dogs from puppies to adults. I consider my pets family. I pay attention to all my pets needs. I enjoy interacting with my pets including walking & various dog toys. I make sure all my pets are loved as well as fed properly & given fresh water. Taking care of pets brings me great joy. I am a retired senior. Long time animal lover looking for a way to earn some extra money. Caring for animals feels more like a hobby than a job. Having more free time then most has made this a perfect opportunity. I have a large fully fenced yard. I can tailor my care based upon your pets needs. I have a wide open home for your pets to roam. Not to mention a huge park next door which gets much use.
“Elizabeth was outstanding in caring for our Frodo, 14 1/2 year old sweet & stubborn dog. She gave him medicine as needed, and she somehow kept Frodo happy, so he ate, played, and slept well. So assuring to know that Elizabeth whom we can entrust our 4-legged family member when needed. Thank you Elizabeth!! YuJung and Howard.”

“Leslie is great! She has sent pictures and videos of how my dog was doing throughout each stay. My dog loves going to see Leslie and her fur babies. I always feel comfortable taking my dog over to Leslie's and she has been very flexible with pick up/ drop off times to fit my crazy schedule needs. 10/10 recommend!”
“Olivia is great with animals. She was super attentive with my dog who seeks a lot of pets. She made sure he was stimulated every day by giving him puzzles to do as well as ample of walks. She even taught him a new trick, “point” which is still under the works. She also kept us updated and even offered to take him to the vet when he accidentally got into their compost. He ended up being a little sick after coming back, but it was all within the expected. I would totally trust her with my dog and I hope to rebook with her in the near future.”

“Xiaotong did such an amazing job with our senior pup! She spoiled him like royalty (in the best way) and sent lots of pics and video! Thank you so much! We would love to book again in the future!”

“Carmen went above and beyond while watching our dog, Honey! From regular updates to genuinely thoughtful care, we felt completely at ease the entire time. I was very appreciative of all the photos and videos she sent! Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again! :)”

“Josh & Melanie were awesome with our pups!! We did a meet & greet first, and they were so nice! They sent us pictures our dogs while we were gone, and I knew they were being well taken care of☺️”

“an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. I have extreme anxiety leaving my dog with anyone. I left my baby in Diana’s care for 9 days, while we went to Hawaii for our babymoon. The last vacation before our first born comes, and I was on edge. The entire experience was extremely stress free and peaceful. Diana took incredible care of Gypsy, our 12 year old Siberian Husky. She kept on clear contact with us, with updates throughout the day. Gypsy was completely calm and at home with Diana. Gypsy can have some separation anxiety but she did so well. Gypsy was extremely well taken care of. I am eternally grateful for this experience and would entrust my pets with Diana again in future.”

This was our first time leaving our dog since we adopted him last year and they took such great care of our sweet boy! Our family LOVED seeing all of the pictures and updates they sent during his stay. It really puts our minds at ease knowing we have such genuinely reliable, attentive, and loving local care for our biggest fur baby when we are away. 😊

Jazzee is a wonderful dog sitter and a very friendly person. Great communications throughout our dogs stay. Extremely happy dog on pickup. I know he enjoyed his stay. If you need a reliable, professional dog sitter, Jazzee fits this need. You can trust her with your pets and her professionalism in caring for your animals. We will definitely be using her again.

I’m honestly so grateful for the way Maura took care of my dog. You can tell right away they genuinely love what she does, and that meant a lot to me. My dog came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of which says everything. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. I’d trust her again without hesitation and highly recommend Maura to anyone who wants their pet treated like family.

Jinree is so good with our dogs. We went away for a few days and Jinree watched our precious girls during that time. We so appreciated her and how she goes out of her way to make sure all their needs are being met. She also is really good at keeping us updated on how they’re doing with pictures of them. Again Jinree thank you so much! We truly appreciate you!:)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
