Duke had such a great stay! Communication was easy, I got updates throughout his visit, and he came home happy and relaxed. I really appreciated the care and attention he received. We’d definitely book again.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Ashlee. Her profile presented pet/house sitting as her full-time focus, but before booking we learned that she actually works a full-time job in the early morning. We were initially okay with this because the schedule we discussed still seemed workable. Unfortunately, as the stay went on, we noticed through our Ring camera that she was arriving later and later than what had discussed which affected the feeding times that were asked of her. What is most upsetting is the condition our cat Tiger was left in. When we returned home, he had lost an alarming amount of weight, could barely walk, and was visibly weak and frail. There is absolutely no excuse for a sitter being so inattentive that they fail to notice a cat deteriorating that badly under their care. Caring for cats is not an overly difficult job, but it does require attentiveness and awareness, both of which we feel were lacking here. We paid Ashlee to care for our pets, and we do not understand how his condition could have gone unnoticed. Our flight was canceled, so our niece — who cared for our cats during a previous trip — stopped by only a few hours after Ashlee left. She and her husband were immediately horrified by Tiger’s condition the moment they saw him. The fact that two people recognized there was clearly something wrong within minutes makes it even harder to understand how Ashlee either failed to notice or failed to take it seriously. To be fair, the house itself was as clean as we left it when we returned, and we had no issues with the condition of the home. However, the primary responsibility was the wellbeing of our pets, and we do not feel that expectation was met. We trusted Rover and relied on Ashlee’s highly rated profile, and we feel that trust was completely misplaced. Had we known she would not stick to the discussed schedule or provide even basic attentive care, we never would have booked her.

If we could give 10 stars, we would! Ashlee went above and beyond taking care of our dog while we were away on vacation. She had great communication, sent tons of pictures and took exceptional care of both our pup and home. On top of that, she was more than willing to extend her stay due to travel complications. We will be repeat customers and are so happy we found her!

Ashlee is so nice and amazing. We were late for the drop off and pickup, and she is so patient and waiting for us until late. Also she has been nice to my dog, so many pictures every day, and so many friends at her place. I would definitely come back to her!

Took care of my small dog and did a wonderful job. Sent me pictures every day and that was reassuring. Great communication.
