“Kristin and her family as always are amazing! She does a phenomenal giving our dog Weatherly a home away from home. The whole family chips in to provide the love, care, and attention to our dog. We've already rebooked her for our next vacation.”

“Katie and her family are the sweetest! My little dog Ella just loves them and so do we! She always sends pictures and updates and make sure that she has everything she needs and gets plenty of attention. I always feel comfortable leaving our little dog with Katie.”

“Total peace of mind while away! We were instantly relieved when our highly energetic pup immediately took to Keri and Kerry's family, yard and Beau :) This lovely family puts you at ease with their calm demeanor and years of knowledge and experience with dogs (including active puppies). They are exceptionally intuitive with new and old dogs. Our pup was so well exercised, daily, that it allayed our usual concerns of him getting into mischief. Keri and Kerry were always quick to respond and kept us informed daily. Communication was clear and easy. He was so well cared for that we were genuinely and regularly blown away when we received the pics of him laying contentedly, relaxing and getting pets and love from this wonderful family! Their love and ability to quickly identify and address your dog's needs will bring you the peace of mind needed to enjoy your time away. We will book with them from now on! Thank you Keri and Kerry!”

“We were so happy we found Angela to watch our pup! She is super bubbly and friendly and made sure we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about our boy ❤️ looking forward to booking with her more in the future!”

“Harlie was wonderful with our dogs while we were visiting the area. She took wonderful care of them and sent daily pictures and updates. In the past I have taken our pups to a kennel which places them in a small cage most of the day but Harlie takes the dogs right into her home which has a large fenced in back yard. This eased the dogs stress from being separated as well as my own.”

“Carol was a fantastic host. She had great communication and her home was perfect for my dog with a big fenced in back yard and plenty of space inside for my dog to rest and be comfortable while I was away. I will definitely be booking her again when I go out of town.”

“Kristen is absolutely outstanding! She is kind, loves dogs and truly understands what they need and how to make them feel comfortable and cared for. Our dog Riley has some separation anxiety, but he was happy and calm during his stay at Kristen’s. Her dog Chessie is part of the success - making friends with Riley, and welcoming him and giving him a tour of the yard.”

“Thanks for watching our pup while we were gone! We received some pictures and updates throughout her stay and she looked happy being there. We’ll definitely check back for future boarding needs.”

“Taking my diva Miss Finley to Elizabeth’s for the weekend was like taking her to her favorite Aunties. She was well taken care of, went on walks and car rides, helped run errands and was so relaxed and chilled when I picked her up. It was truly a home away from home experience! Will definitely use Elizabeth in the future.”

“Anthony and Krista were great! They sent updates and pictures throughout the stay and communicated very well. My dogs seemed very comfortable and relaxed when I dropped them off and picked them up even though it was their first time staying with them.”
“Keri and her family always do a wonderful job watching our dog Benny. Keri sends a lot of photos and provides timely updates so we know what he’s up to when we’re away. We always feel comfortable leaving him with her :)”

“They are just the best you can tell they really loved on my pup and even with all my flight troubles they did everything they could to make sure my pet was comfortable and taken care of.”
“Sally was Amazing! She kept us informed with photos of Gracie a few times daily. We didn’t arrive until around 9 pm to pick her up and saw Sally giving her a walk. This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were very nervous, but Sally exceeding our every expectation. I highly recommend Sally!”

“Laurin was amazing. She was able to watch my dog on a last minute booking for a holiday weekend. It was his first time ever being cared for by someone other than friends and family and Laurin made sure that he was well taken care of and sent regular updates, he seemed to be right at home in her care. Plus her bulldog Bella, is extremely cute and friendly. I definitely plan to use her again and recommend her.”

“Katie was great with my 3 year old pup Roxy! I’m so glad that Roxy was able to find a home away from home. It was a stress taken off of my shoulders knowing she was having fun and taken good care of!”

“Jordan was fantastic. My boy loved her. She was easy to communicate with. He’s not an easy dog and she was patient and loving with him. Highly recommend.”

“Outstanding experience with Ingrid! Was communicative throughout our dog's stay, sent us regular updates and photos that put our minds at ease. Interactions (ie: meet and greet, drop off, & pickup) were pleasant and friendly and could tell our dog was in good care. Will be looking to rebook with Ingrid in our future travels. Thank you!”

“Cindy did a fantastic job watching Cassie! She was attentive, thoughtful, and listened to all of the details we shared about Cassie’s routine and personality. It was clear that Cassie was well cared for and comfortable while we were away. Cindy was also highly communicative, providing regular updates and sending photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch Cassie again. Highly recommend!”

“Great sitter. Marley enjoyed his stay at their place. Amanda and her wonderful family took great care of him and made him feel like part of their family. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

Here's a polished review you can post: Writing Camille is an exceptional pet sitter! She accommodated us on very short notice and took wonderful care of our dog, Shadow, while we were on vacation in Washington. She kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. She even went the extra mile by bringing Shadow back to our place for us. We truly appreciated her kindness, reliability, and excellent communication. I highly recommend Camille to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter! Thank you again Camille!

Leslie was a god send for us and our Russ, truly an amazing person who deeply cares about dogs in general, took the time to listen to us about our dog’s health concerns, communicated with us constantly and made sure our vacation went smoothly thanks to the care she took of our big guy. She sent photos and videos of him having a blast and enjoying her family and property. A true 1000/10 experience. We are forever grateful for finding her and getting to work with such a kind soul, our Russ was legitimately sad to leave her, thank you!

I booked with Amanda and her family very last minute for the Thanksgiving holiday as I was going out of town (not my usual protocol or M-O). Im a first time Rover client and my mind was instantly put at ease. They couldn't of have been any nicer. They are an adorable family with the cutest older bestest bois ever. Mama definitely enjoyed her time. Amanda sent me pictures during her stay and put my mind at ease. I truly appreciate everything and I will for sure be booking with them again in the near future. I cant say Thank You enough to them. They opened their home and hearts for my quirky one good eye, one and a half teeth old lady.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
