“Jordan was fantastic. My boy loved her. She was easy to communicate with. He’s not an easy dog and she was patient and loving with him. Highly recommend.”

“Stop here and look no further! Sara J is your doggy sitter! My dog loves coming here for a vacation. Your dog will get a lot of attention and playtime. You need not worry about anything. Want to know how your dog is doing when you are not there? Sara sends pictures everyday that will make you smile. You can’t go west my with Sara J.”

“Betty and David are wonderful sitters! They always provide my dog the best care and attention and provide so many updates! If I could use them all the time, I would!”

“Carmen was absolutely awesome with our pup! She sent wonderful updates with detailed info and pictures/videos and did an especially good job enforcing good potty habits and new commands for our puppy who’s still learning. I’d highly recommend her for any sitting needs, she’s got a repeat customer in us for sure!”

“Excellent communication and coordination of care for my pups! She asked good questions ahead of time to make sure they were a good fit and kept me updated with texts and pictures!”

“Dennis & Lynn H are amazing people. Onyx loves them so much. They took care of my pup on short notice. I will recommend them for taking care of your pups. The communication was amazing, had pictures of my pup within 10 minutes of dropping him off. Love it so much. Will always use them whenever I need them.”

“Chloe provided a wonderful place for Orion to stay for 5 days. She sent lots of pictures. Orion gets along well with other dogs and had lots of companionship and a big yard to run around in.”

“This was the first time I left my dogs over night so I was extremely nervous but Michelle and Samuel were so great! They sent a ton of pictures and video. Most of all they cared about our dogs like their own. My dogs looked so happy and well cared for. Thank you both!!”

“Kathie did great with Jack! She cared for him as if he were her own, and was very communicative about his needs and behaviors. He was a very tired pup once I got him back home, which was a great sign of a good stay!”

“Glad to have left my Teddy at Kristina’s care. I knew he would be well taken care of while I was away. Kristina initiated the meet-and-greet which I very much appreciated. I’m always hesitant to just drop off Teddy somewhere new without meeting first so it was cool that Teddy got to meet Kristina and family and their fur baby Luna first before spending a few nights over. Kristina kept me updated with pictures and texts. And I’m grateful she adjusted time of pick up as well. Definitely recommend Kristina to watch your fur babies.”

“What a wonderful host for our special needs pug - didn't have to worry at all that she gave him the very best care when we had to be away for a family emergency. I'm sure he'll miss his little vacation!”

“After another sitter backed out last minute three days before Christmas, I contacted Joanna. She did a very good job taking care of my dog, her responses to my text messages were very promptly and she sent me photos of my dog morning and night. I highly recommend her”
“Linda was wonderful and Nuggie was very well taken care of. She took him on frequent walks and provided updates throughout his stay. I would recommend and have my pets stay with her again without hesitation!”

“This was our two large breed dogs first stay with Odalys. We went out of town for 6 night cruise and were inaccessible most of the time, but thankfully everything went great! I really appreciated all the updates and communication. I highly recommend her services! Thanks again Odalys!😊”

“Amy and her family were very welcoming with our corgi. She has a great safe and secure yard for dogs to run around in and I know our pup was in heaven. Amy sent many photos of my dog with updates. When my dog did act up, Amy had prompt communication with me as we figured out next steps. She did a great job with him in a hard situation. I'd recommend anyone to Amy - she loves dogs and has a great set up to host furry friends! Thank you!”

“Gabriela and Sean took amazing care of Luna while we were away from December 18–25. From the very beginning, they were kind, reliable, and great communicators. They sent us regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind during our trip. Luna looked happy, comfortable, and clearly well loved the entire time. It was obvious she was treated like part of their family. We are truly grateful for the care and attention they gave her and would absolutely trust them again in the future. Highly recommended!”

“it's a lovely family to leave my dog with. Cookie was well taken care of and had fun, also getting along with the cats well, extra credit to their son Brandon! highly recommended!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Auburn
Our girls had a great time playing ball, sunbathing, walking and relaxing! 10/10 experience for them, they came home happy and tired so I know they had a great time! Jeanie showed so much care for them, and was super communicative when our Peach wasn’t feeling well. Highly recommend for any pet sitting needs!

Shay took such good care of the pups! Hubert actually came home tired so I think he finally got enough stimulation! She also provided lots of pictures and feedback on how they were doing for the whole stay, and gave my older girl the extra support when needed! Thank you so much again!

Olivia is great with animals. She was super attentive with my dog who seeks a lot of pets. She made sure he was stimulated every day by giving him puzzles to do as well as ample of walks. She even taught him a new trick, “point” which is still under the works. She also kept us updated and even offered to take him to the vet when he accidentally got into their compost. He ended up being a little sick after coming back, but it was all within the expected. I would totally trust her with my dog and I hope to rebook with her in the near future.

..Sydney exceeded expectations with first time booking. I requested her walk and play with dogg in the morning and evening over the course of 3 days. She sent pictures of dogg living her best life. And tracks of mileage she walked about at both the lake park and the bike path. Also had to leave home unsecured for her access. Place was just as I left it with heat and lights on and music playing for dog as I asked. Dog is relaxed and seems like she had a little weekend of adventures with Sydney. We look forward to booking with Sydney again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
