Dog care is my full-time focus, so my schedule is built around the dogs. I'm home all day, every day, and up early, so breakfast is always on time and potty breaks happen frequently. The house is available for boarding and daycare nearly year-round, with the rare exception of a family vacation, and my calendar always reflects that. Whether you need a few hours or a few weeks, your dog gets my full attention the whole time. Early drop-off or late pickup? Just ask, we'll make it work.

Our yard is fully fenced with plenty of room to run, and introductions to my two dogs are always slow and supervised. Ozzie is a calm, social senior who's great at helping shy or nervous dogs settle in, and Cleo is a friendly playmate for pups who want action. Your dog is treated as a member of the household for their entire stay, and the only unsupervised time is overnight while everybody's asleep. For sleeping, I have crates in a range of sizes and dog beds everywhere, and you're welcome to send your dog's own crate or bed if that's their comfort zone. If your dog needs a break from the pack, they can have their own room with individual attention and potty breaks. Questions or special requirements? Just reach out, I'm happy to accommodate.

Information Anthony S. would like to know about your pet
Tell me everything about your dog's routine: feeding schedule, meds, quirks, fears, favorite games, crate habits, all of it. Both of my own dogs have been special needs with daily meds and strict feeding schedules, so detailed routines don't scare me. They're my comfort zone. The more I know ahead of time, the more your dog's stay feels just like home.
A typical day
Our day starts with breakfast, then a nice long walk, about an hour of sniffs and loose leash practice. After that we play in the yard or a big open field to burn off morning energy, and then the whole pack settles in for the midday nap. Afternoon feeding is at 3, followed by a little manners practice and another play session out back. Evenings are mellow: light play, wind-down, couch time. If the "Dogs age 7 times as fast as humans" saying is true, then that mean every day is a week worth of experiences for your dog. I aim for each day to be lived to the fullest with our dogs.

Pet care experience
Hey! I'm Tony! We're 2 minutes off Highway 18 and 167, right next to downtown Auburn, so drop-off and pickup are quick whether you're commuting, running errands, or catching a flight. I've loved dogs since before I could walk, and these days I get to spend all day with them. Being home full time means your pup has company from the moment you drop off to the moment you're back. And since I only ever host two guest dogs at a time, there's plenty of one-on-one attention, a big fenced yard to romp in, and a calm house where everybody actually gets to relax. Your dog will be joining my crew. Ozzie is my 12-year-old Catahoula Cur and the chillest dude in the house. He's spent his whole life around dogs of every size and personality, and he's great at showing shy or nervous dogs that everything's okay here. Cleo is my German Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, a year and a half old, and she's all play. Calm mentor, fun playmate. Whatever energy your dog brings, we've got a match for it. Good manners are part of daily life here. We'll keep up whatever your dog already knows, practicing things like Sit, Down, Stay, Place, and coming when called, woven naturally into walks, meals, and play. At pickup I'm happy to share what we worked on together so the good habits follow your dog home. Our days are pretty simple, and dogs love it! Breakfast, then a nice 1-2 mile walk with plenty of sniff time. Play in the yard, then the big midday nap. Afternoon feeding at 3, a little more practice, more play, and a mellow evening. Special diet, strict schedule, daily meds? No problem at all. Both of my own dogs have been special needs, so careful routines are just how we live here. Fun fact: before this I spent ten years as a software engineer at Amazon, so I'm a little obsessive about schedules and details. Your dog benefits. You'll also get plenty of photos during the stay. One family liked theirs so much they framed them. Our girl Olive, the brown Catahoula in our photos, is the reason I do this. She taught us what great dog care looks like, and every dog who stays with us gets the Olive treatment. Anxious, reactive, quirky, particular? Tell me all about them. I'd love to meet your dog!
Reviews

We were so happy to have found Anthony for our last minute booking. He was totally unphased by our request for 14hrs of daycare (6:30am-8:30pm) with a 5 month old puppy, and our dog came back to us happy and relaxed. We were in the area for work and would absolutely use Anthony again if we were back another time.

Anthony has been so wonderful to work with for our fur baby! He is very caring and lets us k is how her day went as well as how she ate etc. We love the pictures of her playing with his pups and napping and the best endorsement was how excited she was next time we took her. My husband said she could hardly wait to get through the door! Thank you, Anthony! 🐾
Tony was amazing watching our pets! He was able to take a few pictures we ended up framing, and we could really tell the dogs loved being around him. Unfortunately my wife and I moved, but had we stayed in the area we would still be using Tony to this day!
I have known Anthony Smith to be a caring, responsible, and trustworthy pet owner. He consistently provides excellent care for his own animals, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and well-loved. Anthony is dependable, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of each animal he cares for. I would have complete confidence in trusting him with my own pets and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their animals.
