“J & J were amazing! They treated Theo as he was their own dog, lots of love and endless snuggles. We got daily photos and updates and they were very flexible with pick up and drop off. So good, we booked again immediately upon pick up! Thanks again!”

“Jennifer was one of the best hosts we’ve used on Rover. She was flexible and responsive when it came to organizing a meet and greet with her Junebug. She responds instantly, there’s no waiting to hear back from Jennifer. She’s got a great fenced backyard for the dogs. We will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Michelle was a gracious host for our Maui! She provided pictures and videos daily to share with us. Being that it was our first time using rover (and being away from Maui for a week), she provided a card listing all the important items needed. We would absolutely recommend Michelle for anyone who needs their dog to get top notch care!”

“Daisha and Tam were great sitters for our dogs. They were well cared for and safe, got plenty of outside time and snuggles, and we got picture updates every day. We will definitely book with Daisha and Tam in the future. Highly recommended dog sitters!”

“Marisol is genuinely our favorite sitter that we’ve met! She and Milo have been so incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The amount of relief and excitement I feel knowing that my pup is not only cared for but spoiled and loved is amazing. My pup is excited to get there and when I come to pick her up, she doesn’t want to leave. THAT is the telltale sign of a wonderful human and home! Dolce 🩷’s Milo (and Marisol!)”

“Elan was an exceptional doggie care giver for our Tonj. Tonji always returns home in good spirits. We got dates mixed up on the reservation while traveling out of country and Elan was flexible and kind. We will continue to book with Elan.”

“Doug had an amazing time staying here! He was well-cared for, and we received photos and updates throughout Doug's stay, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. This was Doug's first time staying here, and we will definitely look here again for future pup care!”
“Gino was amazing with our two pups. They both have a bit of separation anxiety and one of them is a senior dog. They did wonderful under his care and he was extremely communicative during the entire time. We loved the daily, sometimes multiple times a day check-in and photos. Our girls had a fun filled time with Gino and they went on lots of walks daily. We are so happy to have found him as a puppy sitter. Thank you for caring for our pups!”
“Maria and Kalyan (and Nikko) provided excellent care for Hazel while I was away. Hazel can be a bit anxious when I leave her with a Rover, but they helped her settle in right away. They sent lots of photo and video updates, so I could trust that Hazel was being well-cared for. They really understand Aussies. And by the end of the weekend, Hazel was even caught holding hands with their dog Nikko! New bestie acquired! I would gladly book with them again, and I think Hazel would be thrilled as well.”

“Joshua has cared for my dog several times now, and every experience has been fantastic. From day one, he has been super easy to coordinate with — always quick to respond and so friendly. He took the time to get to know my dog during the meet & greet, and didn’t rush through the process. My dog has some separation anxiety and can sometimes take a while to warm up to unfamiliar people, but he got used to Joshua right away and it feels like my dog has known Joshua for a long time now. Joshua embraces my dog’s unique quirks and reads his behavior so well, which makes a huge difference. We get photo/video updates each stay, and my dog always looks comfortable and so happy. We honestly can’t recommend Joshua enough. He’s reliable, caring, and just genuinely great with dogs. We’re so happy and grateful to have connected with Joshua, and our dog clearly feels the same way!”

“Kaylie is incredible! She is so communicative and our pups are always so excited when they get to spend time with her and her own pups! We always have a peace of mind when Kaylie is watching our sweet pups.”

“Lisa is amazing and our pup Lady loved her time there. Lisa was great at communicating and keeping us updated with pictures of Lady and their adventures. I always get a little nervous leaving our pup behind but Lisa’s was like a home away from home. Highly recommend her!! Thank you, Lisa - you’re the best!”

“Marina, Richard, and their family answered my prayers. My usual boarder was out of town and I needed another option. We had a great meet and greet and Brook came home tired, happy, and more well behaved than when I dropped her off 36 hours before! They must have the magic touch! Will definitely use again! Thank you Marina, Richard and fam!”

“I’m so glad to have left Teddy at Kathy’s care. From the initial meeting, I knew Teddy would be in good hands. Kathy is very thorough. She asked questions, made sure Teddy would be comfortable, and she really put my mind at ease while I was away. The updates were comforting and Teddy came home tired and happy. I will definitely book again and I highly recommend Kathy to anyone who’s looking to leave your fur baby in great hands.”

“We know our boys are in excellent hands with Hannah, Dom, and Alki! Very grateful of their help and care. Hannah provides the best updates and both boys clearly miss their friends every time we come back home 💙”
“Fiona is simply amazing! I felt confident leaving my pup in her care for the long weekend. She is very communicative and asked questions that allowed her to best care for my pup. I 100% recommend booking Fiona, she is a pleasure to work with!”

“Tyler took excellent care of my two very hyper border collies. They are sweet pups but require a lot of work and Tyler put in the time and I’m so grateful! I felt my dogs were very safe in Tyler’s care and I would recommend his services to anyone in need of a loving pet care provider!”

So happy with the care Nori received while staying with Josh! It was so easy to communicate and we loved getting the daily updates with pictures. It was reassuring for me to have someone experienced and comfortable taking care of our old lady. It was clear that Nori was very well cared for and had a lot of enrichment during her stay. Thanks again!

Bree watched my son Cronos (1 year old german shepherd), for 3 days and did an incredible job. She took fantastic care of him, kept me updated, and made sure he felt right at home. It’s such a relief finding someone so trustworthy and attentive to leave your pet with. Cronos loved his time with her! I’d highly recommend Bree to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter, and I will definitely be booking with her again.

We “hit the jackpot” in finding Shannon & Bert! Our 9-year Bernedoodle (Griffey) is still a “puppy at heart” ..very active and excitable! To prepare for a week long stay, we did 3 days of daycare with Shannon & Bert. They kept us informed each day, and by the time our vacation arrived Griffey was accustomed to going there. Throughout our trip they put our minds at ease with their updates & photos! Knowing that Griffey was being so well cared for allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our trip! Griffey had his own little vacation with Shannon & Bert and (like us) came home happily tired! We highly recommend Shannon & Bert and will certainly book with them again!

We’ve boarded Noodle before, but wanted to see if our senior pup, Monty, would do well. We’re always nervous about him with new pups, as he can be a little grumpy, but he had such a great time this past week while we were on vacay. He had CCL surgery earlier this year, so we didn’t want to board him at Dogtopia like we usually do, as we know he doesn’t rest as much there. We felt so much better knowing he had his sissy with him, and that he would be spoiled silly especially during his bday week. Thank you again for taking such great care of our furbabies!!! ☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
