“This was first boarding experience at sitters home for my pet and Kenny took real good care and made sure to provide updates almost everyday and also provided good insight into my dogs behavior especially with another dog. Kenny also made sure to go one step above and made sure to accommodate my last minute pickup and drop off changes. I definitely recommend Kenny !!”

“Thank you for taking excellent care of Plum!! It was a big help knowing she was in great hands with people who care about her. She’s looking forward to returning! Thank you!”

“Cheryl took great care of Knuckles, and sent many photos and videos of her playing and having a good time with the other dogs! She was easy to get in touch with and very kind with our dog! I would recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable sitter!”

“I left my cat with Anhelina for a week and it was an amazing decision. Anhelina sent photos and videos of my cat everyday. She also responded quickly to my messages. I highly recommend Anhelina. She’ll make sure your little one is comfortable.”

“Maria is caring, intuitive, and very knowledgeable about dogs. My baby boy, Weegee, is almost 15 years old. He’s a chihuahua mix. His hearing isn’t great anymore and neither is his eyesight. He was welcomed into an active house of small dogs his size. Maria gave him his meds diligently while I was gone, and even took him to the vet while I was gone for blood in his urine. She did this on her own because I was camping with no cel service, WiFi service, internet, email, texting or communication of any kind. (She asked me through the Rover app what to do, but I didn’t get the messages.) She got him on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds, and made a VERY positive impression on my vet. She is a caring person who loves dogs. She even gave me some pill pockets to give him his meds at no charge. Highly recommended if you have a small dog. Be aware that she may be sitting other dogs as well.”
“Jillian and her family were amazing Rovers. We really appreciate how much they care for CJ and look forward to their updates. Communication is super easy and we will absolutely be having them watch CJ again.”

“Heather took excellent care of my dog. I appreciated her responsiveness to communicating logistics and the updates she shared while caring for my dog. I would absolutely recommend her.”

“Boarding our rescue dog, Liam, is a new experience for him and us. He's a 10.5 year old rescue who is well behaved with us but who can be reactive with strangers. We did a meet-and-greet with Elan and were impressed with her and the very nice, fenced yard. A trial daycare day also was reassuring, so we booked a 4 night, 5 day stay. Elan was terrific with Liam. She's clearly a "dog person" and was able to make Liam feel comfortable. She kept in communication with daily pictures and impressions. She always promptly responded to questions. Liam was happy to see us after his stay, but also appeared comfortable at Elan's house. Elan gave a nice and reassuring report on his behavior. He obviously felt comfortable with Elan, her dog Ube and with the other dogs receiving day-care. There were no concerning or aggressive behaviors from or to him. We anticipate reaching out to Elan for further boarding stays.”

“Jennifer was wonderful with our pup once again! She was especially kind and patient with our senior dog, Cooper, and made sure he was comfortable and cared for the whole time. We felt completely at ease knowing Coops was in such good hands. We’ve already booked with her again and will happily continue to do so! Thank you, Jennifer!”

“Amazing & responds so quick! Tu made the process so easy for me needing something a little last minute. So glad I was able to book, would highly recommend. Sent multiple updates & pics a day that help ease your mind while being away from your fur baby <3”

“Yuliia took excellent care of our playful 70-pound goldendoodle during our 10-night travel. She regularly sent us photographs, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely hire her again for our future travels.”

“Lena was great with my shy puppy! She sent photos and updates everyday which helped me feel at ease while I was away. My dog seemed happy and content with Lena and her kids! We had a great experience with Lena and would be happy to use her again!”

“Shay is kind and a great communicator. She sent pictures every day. Lily had a great time watching the birds and squirrels in Shay’s yard. I could tell Lily felt comfortable and she had such a great time, she didn’t really even want to come home!😂”

“Last minute needed a sitter for our pup over the holidays and Jay was able to accommodate our request! Charlie always has a great time at their place so it was a big weight off our shoulders too. Would definitely book with them again!”

“If I can give Iry 10 stars I would! He is phenomenal! Was available for my last minute request to watch 13- week old puppy. Iry was so welcoming and adored puppy. He gave him plenty of exercise and cuddles. Was updated frequently with the best pics! I would 110% book with Iry again!”

Dahye and Daniel were amazing with Hazel! They took such great care of her and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. Communication was great, and it was clear Hazel was happy and well cared for the whole time. We really appreciate them and would absolutely book with Dahye again. Highly recommend!

Quinten was excellent with our dachshund, Sammy. Sammy is a special needs, senior dog who has really never known anyone but us as his company. Quinten made us feel he can handle Sammy’s special needs & we felt comfortable knowing he has extensive knowledge & history of caring for dachshunds with their quirks. He was very good at communicating with notes & pictures & videos. For the 3 nights we were away at a wedding, we didn’t have to worry about our fur baby. It never felt like a bother to ask how Sammy was doing. In fact Quinten usually contacted us to make us feel better before we had to ask. He was great about asking the right questions as well. Thank you, Quinten! We feel Sammy will be well-taken should we have to need boarding or day-care needs ever again. ❤️👍🏽

Iksu was great and very kind- puppies can be a handful and mine was a little nervous. but ikshu and partner seemed to handle everything in stride. Thank you for patience and kindness and meeting us beforehand to make sure good fit- also for daily update and pics are always appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you Kendall so much for your love and care!! So special to find someone who will love Gabi girl the way I do! And a household that embraced her! Can not express how grateful I am with the communication and ease Kendall provided, I was very nervous for Gabi’s first slumber party! We will definitely be back, Gabi loved it! 🐾🐾💜💜

Myra is the best! We're so grateful to have found her on Rover. Dash loved his time with her - so much fun with new gentle friends, snuggles, tons of attention. He was in doggy paradise.Myra is a true animal lover and provides so much love and fun in a safe environment. Will definitely use again!
Daria was absolutely fantastic. Not only did she make me feel so secure by sending me pictures throughout the time I was gone, I could tell they were enjoying themselves and weren’t stressed. My dog Iggy doesn’t even like men that much and here I see Daria’s spouse giving him kisses and cuddles and Iggy was blissfully happy! You can tell how much they love pups. I am so glad I found Daria! Thank you!

Hazel was treated extremely well and had plenty of opportunities to play and burn off all her energy. She loved playing with the other dogs, and I really appreciated receiving so many pictures throughout her stay. It was great seeing how much fun Hazel had. I would definitely recommend this sitter!

Amazing! This was the second time watching our dog, Maverick, and he had an amazing time. This was a long trip away and Shay kept us updated with pictures and messages the whole time. There was never a worry for us. Our pup loves staying here and we feel so comfortable leaving him. Thank you Shay for taking such good care of him while we were away!

Katie is absolutely amazing! We were incredibly nervous about boarding our puppy, Zorro, at someone else’s house, but Katie completely put our minds at ease. She took such wonderful care of him and treated him like her own. Throughout his stay, she sent us tons of updates, pictures, and videos, which we appreciated so much. Seeing him happy and relaxed made our time away completely stress-free. If you are looking for someone who is attentive, loving, and highly communicative, especially for a young puppy, I cannot recommend Katie enough. We will absolutely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
