âDahye was amazing with my pups and very loving! She and her husband were very conscientious and showed both my babies the perfect amount of attention. My girls were very happy with their play date and worn out on the ride home!â

âI couldnât be happier with the care Quinten provided for my dog Penny. From the moment we met, it was clear they had a genuine love for animals. They kept me updated with daily photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My pet was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I returned. I highly recommend Quinten to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter!â

âShe did an amazing job with our dog! She was very flexible and able to take him on last minute. She kept us updated on how he was doing and very responsive to us through his time there. If we lived locally, we definitely would be back.â

About: I treat each pup like part of the familyâwhether that means sticking closely to your dogâs routine, giving extra cuddles, or providing gentle care for seniors or high-energy playtime for puppies. My home is safe, calm, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax or play. I send regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is in loving hands. As a retiree, pet care is truly a part of my everyday lifeâand something I genuinely enjoy. Since Iâm home full-time, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will receive constant attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My daily routine is built around keeping dogs happy and comfortable, from morning walks and playtime to relaxed afternoons and evening cuddles. I keep a calm, quiet home where dogs can feel safe and relaxed, and Iâm always available for feeding, potty breaks, or just spending quality time with them. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possibleâincluding feeding schedules, walk times, play habits, and bedtime routinesâto help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space for lounging, supervised playtime, and cozy naps. I give each dog plenty of personal attention throughout the day, whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, or just offering a warm lap to curl up on. If your dog needs medication, special meals, or extra care (like for puppies or seniors), I handle it all with patience and attention to detail. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos, so you can rest easy knowing your pup is in good hands.
âMy pup was having a great day with Phoebe and Ginger. Phoebe provided regular updates to keep us posted and a report card that detail how his day went, what they did. Highly recommend Phoebeâs dog daycare service.â

About: I have had dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. from a docile Pitbull who loved to make a friend on the street to a tiny Chihuahua who is a true dogâs dog. I have gone through potty training and basic command this year with my dog, so Iâm very familiar with sticking to training! Iâm currently working an hybrid schedule and I have plenty of time to be your petâs new pal! With a flexible schedule, I am able to meet the needs of many pets. Whether thatâs more frequent potty breaks or going to their weekly park date. For those staying in my home, either my wife or I are usually home during the day. Our dog just vibes out wherever while we work from home. Dogs are allowed on furniture. I am all about keeping pets on their schedule as best as possible. I like continuity of whatâs the norm for them. If they have strict meal and potty times I will follow them. If they love an enrichment adventure or puzzle Iâll get that all set up! Iâll take plenty of fun pictures with silly captions to keep you up to date!

âI am grateful for Patrick! He gives Sassy a lot of exercise and attention, which she loves. Itâs so nice that he sends pictures throughout the day, so I can see what sheâs up to. Highly recommend this kind, communicative, and flexible person.â

âThis was my first experience using Rover for my 6 month puppy. My sweet girl was loved on while exercising and socializing. It was the perfect scenario for my pup to have when Iâm working full days. I will definitely be using again! Mallory sends photos, updates and is wonderfully attentive. She also has a flexible schedule that helps with last minute changes in my own schedule and planning.â

âNatalie was wonderful with a first-time dog sit. Sheâs got a great set-up and clearly wants to make things as good for her âguestsâ as possible. A fully fenced yard, toys, lots of opportunity for exercise. She also sent me pictures through the day so Iâd know how things were going.â

âWe had a wonderful experience with Tamar. We had never left our dog in a day care before but Rio came home tired and happy. We will definitely book her again. Thank you !â

âElan and family are great! Fast responses and kept me up to date with pictures throughout the day. My dog had a great time and came home tired from all the play. I would be comfortable with Elan watching my dog again.â

About: I was raised with dogs since I was about 5 years old, and had cats since I was 10. I currently own two beautiful cats that I've had for about 5 years now. I have pet sat for others while in the military, and am excited to do so again! I quit my job so that I can attend college full-time. Until I start classes, I am completely free and available to care for animals. Once I start classes, I will still be able to pet sit and board on my off days and weekends. :) I live in a two bedroom condo with a green belt out back and several nice walking trails nearby. I do have two cats, so any dogs I watch will need to be gentle and play nice!
âPriya and her spouse were so kind, responsive and playful with our pups. We received multiple updates and they asked many questions to make sure our pups had the best time. Book with confidence!â

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Renton
Jenny was fantastic. We booked a last-minute dogsit session for our energetic Frenchie. We were nervous as it was the first time weâd left our dog with anyone since adopting her a few months ago. Jenny set up a meet and greet at her home for a few days before and let my dog meet her dogs; she has a great fenced in yard for the dogs to be out in and a safe and climate controlled home. Jenny was responsive and paid attention to all our special requests and gave us photos and updates on a regular basis so we could see how our dog was doing, which was reassuring and helpful to calm my own nerves! Our pup had a great time socializing with her resident dogs, was safe and well looked after. We were very pleased and would absolutely trust her to watch our high energy wild child again.

We just completed Melloâs second daycare stay with Cheryl, four days after her first visit, and it went just as well as the first! It has been wonderful to see Mello becoming more comfortable and confident in Cherylâs care. As a dog with anxiety, we were especially happy to hear that Mello showed very few anxiety-related behaviors during her stay. Mello had a great time spending the day with the other dogs and enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on walks. Cheryl continued to provide plenty of updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to see how much fun Mello was having. We really appreciate Cherylâs attentiveness, communication, and genuine care for Melloâs well-being.

Kaleigh was so great! She is so kind and followed everything we asked of her to in order to take care of our 6 month old Bernedoodle puppy. She also sent plenty of photos and updates through the day. Gouda loved her and was excited to see her when she came and got him. Would love to work with her again!

Keya watched my Malinois, Ember, today while I was busy in Seattle. She was polite, professional, and excellent with communication. Most importantly, I felt like my dog was well taken care of and safe. She hardly wanted to leave Keya when it was time to go. I highly recommend Keya, and hope to use her services in the future.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Renton commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
