About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always felt very natural to me. I currently have two Golden Retrievers who are temporarily staying with my brother in another state. Over the years, I’ve cared for small, and medium dogs, taking care of their walks, feeding, baths, playtime, and companionship. I also have experience with basic medication administration and am always happy to follow each pet parent’s specific instructions. I’m a very loving, patient, and attentive person when it comes to animals. One thing that really sets me apart is how quickly I connect with pets. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for. To me, pet sitting is more than just feeding a pet and taking them for a walk. It’s about making them feel safe, happy, and at home while their family is away. I work from home using my phone, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate most of my day to caring for pets. I’m available 7 days a week and usually only have a commitment of about three hours between 7:00 and 10:00 AM. Outside of that time, I have plenty of flexibility to adjust to each pet’s needs and routine. I’m available for walks, playtime, companionship, and daytime care. I also enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities, always adjusting them to each pet’s age, energy level, and individual needs I live in a spacious and comfortable townhouse in a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood. While I don’t have a private yard, my community has a large pet area and plenty of walking paths where pets can safely get outside and enjoy some fresh air. I currently don’t have any pets living at home, since my two Golden Retrievers are temporarily staying with my brother in another state. I also don’t have children at home, and my two roommates are completely pet-friendly. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their routine, personality, habits, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll carefully follow all of your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, schedules, and any other specific needs. I’m also happy to send photos and updates as often as you’d like. My goal for you and your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and confident while they’re in my care
“Alexandria is very experienced. After meeting her I was comfortable and confident that our little guy would be well taken care of. Not only does she provide good positive care, but she is also a bit of a trainer and a groomer! Our little guy can be a bit of a jerk sometimes. He had the opportunity to socialize with other puppers in a safe and nurturing environment. If I need care again, I will definitely book with Alexandria!”

“Leroy was the best! I received a pic of Ripley playing outside and he passed out in the car after just a few hours of hanging out. Leroy was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable leaving ripley in his care. He also took a last minute request for us and was flexible on drop off/pick up times. Would highly recommend to anyone!!”

“Our Dog Loki, who is very shy, took a liking to Elan very quickly. He loved being dropped off at her home for daycare. What better sign of approval do you need than that?!”

“We had such a great experience with Wanqing. Simba came home happy, well cared for, and clearly had a fun day. The updates and photos throughout the day were super reassuring, and it was clear that Simba was in good hands. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the warm environment. We’ll definitely be booking again—highly recommend!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs my entire life, growing up with pets and continuously having dogs in my home. Having raised and cared for dogs through every stage of life, I treat every guest pet with the exact same unconditional love, safety, and attention I give my own. Working part-time gives me a highly flexible schedule with plenty of dedicated, open blocks throughout the day for pet care. I can easily accommodate consistent feeding times, mid-day walks, playtime, and evening care. Because my work hours are manageable and predictable, your pet receives frequent individual attention, timely potty breaks, and structured daily routines without long gaps in care. When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is keeping their routine consistent, comfortable, and stress-free. I adhere strictly to your instructions for feeding, fresh water, exercise, and any special care or medications. I ensure your home stays clean, secure, and respected, providing full attention, affection, and active engagement during every visit. You’ll receive detailed updates and photos after every visit or stay so you know your pet and home are in great hands.
“So glad to have found Quinten after our former Rover caretaker moved overseas. He clearly loves dogs and it shows in his gentleness and patience towards them. Like many of her kind, our French Bulldog can have bursts of high energy. Some Rover caretakers who are less experienced can be overwhelmed with her quirks, but Quinten was not only unfazed but seems to appreciate each dog’s unique personality. He sent plenty of videos and pictures during a short day care. We look forward to our next stay with him.”

“Butters came back happy and tired. They kept us informed with a lot of pictures and videos. They had multiple dogs at the place which i think makes it fun ! they took good care of him”

“Shadow always has such a fun time with Ya-Han and her family! She takes excellent care of him and gives detailed updates and notes about their activities, which I love ❤️”

“When Phoebe came home from Aileen’s I could tell she’d had a great day. She was tired but still bouncy, and she wasn’t in the least desperate to see me. I was happy to have found a safe and caring place where she could play with dogs her own size, go for walks on quiet streets, and snooze in Aileen's lap. It let me enjoy my event without worrying. This was Phoebe’s first visit, and Aileen was gracious enough to take her on short notice. She even made time for a meet & greet in advance. She sent photos and videos to keep me posted through the day, even when I’d said they weren’t needed. She was flexible when I had to tell her I was running late. And she took good care of our puppy. Phoebe and I are both looking forward to next time!”

“This was my first time dropping Theo to Anping. Anping was responsive, when i had requested to book with him and he immediately shared a video of his neighbourhood and where theo will be. He shared plenty of photos and videos through the day which made me so comfortable. He followed my instructions well, he also went extra and took theo to play frisbee which my dog loves as he is an active breed. Theo loved his stay with Anping and we will definitely recommend and will be returning to him when we want help”

“Ani & Pallavi took such good care of my pup. Thank you for the updates and feedback throughout the day. Molly seemed really happy and content. Appreciate your gentleness with her.”

“Took very great care of my pups! My pups felt very much at home and loved being in their care. Very communicative and provided AMAZING care. Will be using again in the future!”

“Ksenia is awesome!!! I’ve always been super picky and nervous about who I leave my dog with. After reading all the reviews I went ahead and gave Ksenia a try & now we have booked her twice! She is definitely our go to sitter now. She truly cares for the dogs, she makes sure they are comfortable , gives them all her attention and builds a bond with them. You get lots of pictures of your baby and she keeps you updated on how they are doing! 5 star all around I highly recommend her”

“Dahye was amazing with my pups and very loving! She and her husband were very conscientious and showed both my babies the perfect amount of attention. My girls were very happy with their play date and worn out on the ride home!”

We left Coby in excellent care! Candace completely put us at ease about leaving him in a new environment with new dogs. We really appreciated her regular check-ins and attentiveness to his needs. He clearly had a great time...he came home completely wiped out!

My dog Butter had a great time at daycare with Rachel. She was very attentive to Butter and sent me lots of updates throughout the day. Her dog Tracy is very sweet and was a great playmate for Butter. Butter came home so happy and tired out from such a fun day! I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone.

Magdalena and Suresh (hope I spelled it right!) were incredible hosts for our two Dobermans. She was very thoughtful in our meet and greet on getting her dogs introduced and I could tell she wanted to make sure all 4 were going to get along. She sent great pics throughout the stay and I could tell our dogs got spoiled! Would love to have her watch the dogs again in the future!
Pauline was fantastic taking care of our one year old golden retriever for doggy daycare. She made sure lemon felt right at home, took her on several walks, and sent photo and video updates throughout the day. We knew she was in great hands and would absolutely book again. Thanks, Pauline!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Newcastle commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
