Hikes, Runs, Dog Parks & Pool
I’m the mom of an active, outdoorsy family who can’t wait to take your pup on daily walks, trail hikes, and energizing fetch and dock dives. Over the years I’ve built solid puppy-training expertise rooted in positive reinforcement: - Crate training & housebreaking - Basic obedience (sit, stay, come) - Leash manners and loose-lead walks - Socialization through classes, off-leash hikes, and trail runs Comet and I are comfortable helping shy or energetic pups adapt to new routines and environments. And, with two responsible teens on hand, your pet will always have playmates, supervision, and plenty of activity—whether that’s fetch in the yard, a jog around the neighborhood, family hike on nearby trails, or lots of swimming in our private pool. Note: As the Rover account holder, I personally supervise my children at all times during pet care. I grew up caring for a female Chihuahua, and today I’ve raised my very friendly, independent 4-year-old Labrador Retriever from eight weeks old. After our Dwarf Netherlands rabbit passed away from old age, I became the go-to pet sitter for neighbors, friends, and family— walking and feeding dogs, cats, and especially rabbits and guinea pigs. :-)

Ratings and reviews
We did a trial meet-and-greet walk with Pauline and her dog, Comet, for our German Shepherd (Korben) and Husky mix (Deckard). Pauline was fantastic. Our Husky can be a bit selective and leash-reactive, but she handled him with total confidence and ease on our neighborhood walk. She has great instincts with dog dynamics, remained completely unfazed by typical introduction behaviors, and our senior GSD took to her immediately. It’s a huge relief to find a local sitter who understands large breeds and active dogs so well. Highly recommend!
We are so happy we found Pauline to house sit with our two Goldens! She kept us informed about their walks, cuddles, and other activities, and was the perfect guest in our home.
Pauline was fantastic taking care of our one year old golden retriever for doggy daycare. She made sure lemon felt right at home, took her on several walks, and sent photo and video updates throughout the day. We knew she was in great hands and would absolutely book again. Thanks, Pauline!

Our pup had a great time with Pauline and her pup Comet. Leo appreciated the freedom of the fenced in backyard and having a pal to play with. Pauline was very attentive to our dog and made sure he received lots of activity and love. We really appreciated updates of how he was doing along with videos and pictures. We would definitely love to have Pauline take care of our dog again!

It was our pups first time away from home and Pauline did an amazing job with this high energy dog! He had a ton of fun with his “big brother” on walks, at the park, and swimming. He got lots of extra cuddles when he was homesick.

Schedule
I’m currently working remotely and both teenagers are at home, so amongst the 3 of us, we have time to walk the dogs and for your dog to be socialized with our dog. We begin each weekday with a 20–30 minute morning walk around the neighborhood, giving everyone fresh air and a chance to stretch their legs before the day starts. Note: As I am the Rover account holder, I supervise any minors, including my kids at all times. Midday, one of us takes a break to let the dogs out for a quick potty run or a brief training session—perfect for reinforcing commands and mental stimulation. In the late afternoon/early evening, we fit in a second walk or backyard swimming time or fetch to keep energy levels high and boredom at bay. Evenings are reserved for a family stroll to our local dog park or a leisurely hike on nearby trails, ensuring every pup enjoys social interaction and new sights. On weekends, we extend our adventures with longer outings—beach trips, wooded trails or agility exercises—tailoring each activity to match your dog’s fitness and personality. Throughout the week, we stick to consistent feeding schedules, administer any medications as needed, and perform daily grooming checks, so you can rest assured your pet’s routine stays stable and nourishing.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Physical and mental health in a fun and active family pack environment are at the heart of my pet-care philosophy. My backyard is fully fenced, giving dogs a secure space to run, sniff, and play without worry. We also have an in-ground swimming pool—perfect for water-loving breeds—but every splash session is closely supervised, and the shallow end has easy-exit steps so no pup ever feels trapped. My friendly 5-year-old Labrador greets every new guest with gentle enthusiasm, providing instant companionship and encouragement for shy dogs to explore. For dogs who need their own space, we offer two comfortable crates: a covered outdoor kennel shaded from sun and rain, and a cool, quiet crate in our basement. Whether your dog craves privacy during nap time or needs a secure spot while we’re out running errands, each crate is lined with plush bedding, cleaned daily, and arranged with a favorite toy if you provide one. Building trust starts before your dog even walks through the door. We begin with a meet-and-greet so you can see the space and we can learn about your pet’s routines, diet, and temperament. During their stay, I send regular photo and video updates, plus notes on meals, walks, play sessions, and any milestones—like mastering a new trick or making a new furry friend. Your dog will enjoy consistent feeding times, daily potty breaks in the safe, enclosed yard, and multiple supervised play sessions with our Lab and the rest of the family. From pool-side splashes to cozy crate retreats, every element of our home is optimized for safety, comfort, and trust.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. We’ll play a bunch of games, check out all the new smells in my neighborhood, and explore parks and trails. Each day looks a little like this: - Morning Adventure and Bio Break We start with a 20–30 minute walk around the block—perfect to stretch legs, sniff every new corner, and practice loose-leash manners. Back home, we reward good behavior with a quick game of fetch in our fenced yard or a puzzle toy filled with treats. - Midday Pool & Yard Play After breakfast, it’s time for supervised splash sessions in our in-ground pool (step-out ledges make exit easy) or a backyard fetch. If your pup prefers quiet time, we tuck them into a cozy covered crate on the porch or the cool basement crate for a restful nap. - Afternoon Neighborhood Stroll One of us takes a leisurely second walk, often looping through a local park or along a tree-lined trail. Our friendly Lab makes a great playmate, and shy dogs warm up quickly with our positive, praise-based approach. - Evening Wind-Down We wrap up the day with calm enrichment: snuffle mats, gentle tug, or brief training drills (sit, recall, paw). Then it’s dinner, a final “potty parade,” and a snuggly tuck-in—your dog’s chosen blanket or toy comes along for maximum comfort. For puppies, an individual bath is also provided which helps to calm and relax anxious personalities. Throughout the day, I send photo updates and notes on meals, walks, and fun milestones. Whether your pup craves high-energy play or cozy downtime, our routine adapts to their pace and personality—always in a safe, trust-filled environment.
