About: I've taken care of medium dogs belonging to friends and family đ I've brushed, walked, fed, played, and cuddled with many different dogs, so I've got you covered! I'm currently working part time and am a part-time college student, so I have a lot of time to put into pet care :) I love going on adventures in my free time, whether it is to new parks or hikes! I have a very large fenced in yard and pickleball/basketball court, so your pup will have lots of room to run! I'm also located very close to multiple parks/dog parks (downtown bellevue park, newcastle beach park, robinswood dog park, etc.!) and my neighborhood also has a large grass field perfect for playing fetch. My home is also spacious and equipped with AC to keep your dog cool in the heat.
âThank you Cheryl for taking such good care of Molly and also crating her, as requested. She had the best day playing with your pup and also being loved on. Epic levels of photos and updates throughout the day which was above and beyond!â

âWe are so grateful to have found Todd. He took wonderful care of Kona and made sure she got daily walks and plenty of attention. Kona got along great with Honey, who is such a sweet, chill pup. The two of them did really well together. Todd was always responsive, reliable, and kept us updated. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are so happy to have found him. We will absolutely continue to use Todd in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter.â

About: Constant Companionship & Peace of Mind As a full-time remote professional (WFH), your pet will never feel lonely at my home. I am here 24/7 to provide constant supervision, frequent potty breaks, and, most importantly, all the cuddles they deserve. Unlike sitters who work out of the home, I can adapt my schedule entirely to your petâs routine, ensuring they feel safe and settled. Expertise in Specialized Care What truly sets me apart is my experience with high-need pets. I personally raised one of my resident cats from just 2 weeks oldâa journey that required immense patience, around-the-clock bottle feeding, and meticulous care. This experience has made me exceptionally attentive to subtle changes in a pet's mood or health, making me a great fit for puppies, seniors, or pets who need a little extra TLC. Lifelong Small Breed Lover Before becoming a cat mom to my two sweet residents, I grew up with a Teddy Dog and a Yorkshire Terrier. I understand the spirited personalities and specific safety needs of small breeds. Living in a cozy townhouse, I specialize in creating a calm, indoor sanctuary supplemented by quality morning and evening walks to keep them active and happy. A Natural Connection Iâve been called an "animal magnet" since I was a child. I believe in patient, positive reinforcement and respect each pet's unique boundaries. Your furry family member will be treated exactly like my ownâwith unconditional love and professional responsibility. Full-Time Care & Attention As a dedicated pet parent to two cats, my life already revolves around animal care. My WFH status allows me to offer constant supervision and a flexible schedule tailored to your pet's needs. Since I live in a townhouse without a yard, I prioritize quality outdoor time with dedicated morning and evening walks. During the work day, your pet will enjoy a calm, climate-controlled environment with me right by their side. Whether they need a quick play session between my meetings or a quiet spot to nap, I am here to ensure they are happy and comfortable 24/7. Every pet has a unique personality and set of needs. My first priority is to mirror the routine they are used to at home to minimize stress. Whether itâs a specific feeding time, a favorite toy, or a particular way they like to be scratched, I follow your instructions to the letter. When Staying in My Home (Boarding/Daycare): Constant Supervision: Since I work from home, your pet will be in the same room as me most of the day. They will have full access to a comfortable, climate-controlled environment. Safety & Integration: With two resident cats, I am an expert at slow, safe introductions. If your pet prefers their own space, my townhouse allows for easy separation to ensure everyone feels secure and relaxed. Active Outdoors: Since I don't have a yard, I prioritize quality time outside. We will go on at least two dedicated walks (morning and evening) and frequent quick potty breaks to keep them stimulated and happy. Cat-Specific Care: For cat guests, I provide meticulous litter box maintenance and plenty of interactive play with wand toys and feathers. When Visiting Your Home (Drop-ins/House Sitting): Home Security & Tidiness: I treat your home with the utmost respect. I ensure all doors are locked, mail is brought in if needed, and the space remains exactly as you left it. Quality One-on-One Time: I donât just "fill the bowl." I spend the entire duration of the visit engaging with your pet, providing companionship, and making sure they feel loved while you're away. Detailed Updates: I am a big communicator! You can expect frequent photo and video updates of our adventures, so you never have to wonder how your best friend is doing.
âShadow always has such a fun time with Ya-Han and her family! She takes excellent care of him and gives detailed updates and notes about their activities, which I love â¤ď¸â

âOur Dog Loki, who is very shy, took a liking to Elan very quickly. He loved being dropped off at her home for daycare. What better sign of approval do you need than that?!â

About: I grew up taking care of my Lhasa Apso. I used to dog sit for my employer who had a minature Shih Tzu. I would take her everywhere with me. I had a Dachshund in my 30âs. I recently was a dog sitter for a friend who has a Terrier. Dogs make me happy. I was thinking of adopting one but decided to join Rover for now. I currently work from home remote, so I have tons of flexibility to take care of a dog. I would take them outside for many walks during the day. I live in an apt with a balcony, so the dog would have free range. I would take them for walks in my area where there is a ton of grassy areas & a walking path. Iâm also near parks.
âWonderful job taking care of Toodle! He had several nice outdoor walks and plenty of indoor playtime. I received lots of great photos throughout the day, and it was clear he really enjoyed his stay. He was happy, calm, and pleasantly tired when I picked him up.â

âThis is my first time using dog daycare. Daniela did an amazing job and let me feel at ease. She was so kind and loving with my puppy. My puppy had a good time with her. She was a quick communicator during the initial booking and greeting process, and sent lots of videos and pictures for update during my puppyâs stay. I definitely will use her services again. Highly recommended!â

âI truly appreciate Xinyaâs care for my boy Obi. They sent me many photos, took care of feeding on time, and overall I can see he had a good time and a fun walk. Thank you!â

âCandice and her two dogs took great care of Penelope while I was a work. She came home exhausted and looked like she had a lot of fun and had some great socialization!â

About: Iâve taken care of our rescued toy poodle for the last six years. I also help friends and neighbors to take care of their dogs often, and they return excitedly every time. My two teenagers love dogs, and love to play with and take care of them too. We are only taking hypoallergenic dogs for day care and boarding. Expect lots of walks, potty breaks and play sessions, all in a safe and loving environment. Your dogâs happiness is my ultimate goal! Morning walk is around 7-8am. Mid day walk around 12-1pm. Evening walk around 6-7pm. We also take shorter walks or backyard potty break in between and before bedtime. I live in a quiet neighborhood with trails and dog parks nearby for your dog to explore and have fun in. Your dog is welcome on my furniture, in my backyard, and in an open carpeted area to play in.
âAs always, Mckenna and her mom Shirley took the best care of my old dog Chewie, and he's not easy! Thank you so much, Mckenna and Shirley! I'm always sure Chewie is happy and well taken care of when he's at your house.â

About: I have lots of loving experience caring for cats and truly enjoy spending time with them. I would be delighted to look after both cats and small dogs, giving them plenty of attention, play, and gentle care so they feel happy and secure while youâre away. I work from home, so your pet will always have company and wonât be left alone for long periods. This means I can give them regular attention, playtime, and potty breaks, and closely follow their usual routine to help them feel relaxed and secure. I prefer to host pets in my home, where I can give them constant attention and keep them in a calm, safe environment. Since I work from home, your pet will be with me most of the time, enjoying company, play, and a stable routine.

âWe had a wonderful experience with Diana! They took great care of Tuna, kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay, and made sure she was happy, safe, and well cared for. It was clear they genuinely love dogs and paid attention to her needs and routine. When I picked her up, she was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a great time. We really appreciated the excellent communication and the peace of mind they gave us while we were away. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Newport
Akansha was terrific in all aspects of our booking with her! She communicated proactively and always responded quickly to our messages, and our dog clicked with her caring and warm personality when he first met her. She sent regular updates throughout the day and made us feel comfortable trusting her with our precious pup! We will definitely be booking with her again.

We left Coby in excellent care! Candace completely put us at ease about leaving him in a new environment with new dogs. We really appreciated her regular check-ins and attentiveness to his needs. He clearly had a great time...he came home completely wiped out!

Shelbee had a wonderful time at Hitoeâs home with Biscuit. She took her on lots of walks, and although Shelbee usually doesnât eat much, I was initially worriedâbut she made sure to give her food and water regularly, and Shelbee finished everything before coming home. I also really appreciated the consistent updates and how thoughtfully she answered all my questions. I would absolutely love to book with her again!

Magdalena and Suresh (hope I spelled it right!) were incredible hosts for our two Dobermans. She was very thoughtful in our meet and greet on getting her dogs introduced and I could tell she wanted to make sure all 4 were going to get along. She sent great pics throughout the stay and I could tell our dogs got spoiled! Would love to have her watch the dogs again in the future!
Amanda is amazing! She was so kind to watch my 13 week old golden retriever puppy Millie. Millie played all day! She was able to meet a new friend and run and dig to her hearts content. Amanda was so sweet to send me pictures and videos so I was not anxious during her first day away.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Newport commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
