“I have used Jeremy for boarding as well as dog walks, he took great care of my Aussie Nimbus. Sent me photos and updates, even helped with a small favor I needed in the house while I was away. I will definitely book with Jeremy again! highly recommend!”

“Kaylie is our go-to sitter! Rigby always has a great time with her pups and we’re always getting pics/videos of Kaylie playing fetch with her, which is her favorite activity.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Romy! She took excellent care of Uni and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and could tell our dog was happy, comfortable, and well loved. Romy was reliable, communicative, flexible and treated our dog like her own. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Kenny. From day one, he showed genuine love and patience toward my dog. It gave me peace of mind knowing my pup was comfortable and well cared for. I would absolutely trust him again! Recommend Kenny 100%”

“She was amazing! She was so sweet to clean the litter box and litter genie. She also was very responsive and timely with photos of my Frubbles 🥰. My cat was so calm around her.”

“Kai and his family are wonderful, and our two dogs Hersh & Harlo enjoyed their stay! Kai was super communicative, prompt at providing updates with photos and videos multiple times a day, and we felt like our pups were absolutely cared for. Our senior dog went straight to bed and started snoring once we got home - a sign letting us know he had a great time due to all the walks! We hope to board with Kai and his family again soon. Thank you for taking care of Hersh and Harlo!”

“Very, very, very wonderful family. The hostess is very loving and very experienced. My puppy dog was a little depressed about leaving home and didn't like to eat.The hostess spends an extraordinary amount of time calming the puppy and switching up the various treats she makes for the puppy to help him be able to eat more, she has a very loving son and a very sweet daughter, both of whom spoil the puppy very much.I felt more luxurious spending time with the hostess than at home.I will definitely be back again and recommend it to all my friends.Because the owner is loving and very attentive.Every day, they keep track of how much food is eaten and what time the dog goes to the bathroom.More careful and experienced than us owners!”

“Atlas stays with Amy whenever I need to go out of town. Amy's very accommodating with my sometimes last minute work trips and I always know he's in good hands. Atlas can be a little antsy when dropped off, but he feels right at home and cuddles up to everyone in the house once he's settled in.”

“What sets David apart from other sitters is his core understanding of dog psychology and behavior. All of his many video update included some explanation of the setup, situation, or behavior in the video. He can easily make dogs feel welcome, safe, and understood.”

“Hyeyoung and her family took great care of George! She sent great updates each day about George. Her photos are amazing! She made George look like a vogue doggy. I will 100% be rebooking with her!”

“Carl is an amazing sitter! Very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and I could tell our boy was very comfortable and having a great time while we were gone. Carl’s space is fantastic for any pets, our dog loved being there. I will absolutely reach out to Carl first in the future for any sitting needs.”

“A wonderful experience. All the communication you could ask for. Very conscious of your dog's needs. My dog was able to play all day and tire himself out. After his visit he took a 3 hour nap. A very happy dog and owner.”

“Noela was a delight. We felt very comfortable leaving our senior dog with her. She did a great job keeping us updated as required and our pup was very happy when we picked him up. She administered our dogs medication and accommodated his mobility which we appreciated.”

“This was our second time leaving Momo with Malvika & her family! Momo was anxious this time & they were so understanding and helpful with her. Once again, highly recommend Malvika!”

“Brian and Desirae were awesome!! Duchess is very high maintenance and she was very happy with the love she received during her week away from her family! I so appreciate their care of Duchess — gave me peace of mind while I was on vacation! I will definitely leave Duchess with Brian and Desirae during my next vacation!”

“Frequent updates kept my peace of mind while I was away. Rory came back so happy and extra cute in her new bandana. I would definitely recommend working with Quan to others!”

Xiaoli was absolutely amazing! She sent lots of updates and photos throughout Ace’s stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she genuinely cared for him and treated him like her own. Communication was excellent, and she made sure to keep us informed the entire time. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. We’d definitely book with Xiaoli again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover sitter!

Eva was absolutely wonderful—I am still pinching myself that we found her! It felt like the happiest and safest environment for our little senior dachshund. He definitely has his quirks, and Eva was so caring and kind in her care for him. She checked in regularly and was an absolute joy to work with—would absolutely recommend her to all!

My 1 year old cavapoo stayed with Oksana for 2.5 weeks while I was out of the country. Oksana was the perfect match. She is very kind, professional and communicated daily. Her home was immaculate, too. Laila looked so happy in the photoss and was not anxious at all when I picked her up. She looked at me like “ I can stay here longer!” She was very well taken care of. I will defintely plan on using Oksana again!

Boarding our rescue dog, Liam, is a new experience for him and us. He's a 10.5 year old rescue who is well behaved with us but who can be reactive with strangers. We did a meet-and-greet with Elan and were impressed with her and the very nice, fenced yard. A trial daycare day also was reassuring, so we booked a 4 night, 5 day stay. Elan was terrific with Liam. She's clearly a "dog person" and was able to make Liam feel comfortable. She kept in communication with daily pictures and impressions. She always promptly responded to questions. Liam was happy to see us after his stay, but also appeared comfortable at Elan's house. Elan gave a nice and reassuring report on his behavior. He obviously felt comfortable with Elan, her dog Ube and with the other dogs receiving day-care. There were no concerning or aggressive behaviors from or to him. We anticipate reaching out to Elan for further boarding stays.

Sylvanna was amazing! She took Oliver on an 11 mile hike, plus many high-quality walks! She was very attentive to my specifications about his reactivity to other dogs, and was confident with handling him, despite his behavioral needs and not having met him before. He came home tired and happy! I will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
