“Minnie did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Toki. She made sure to keep us updated about Toki and even sent us videos of Toki playing with her cat. Minnie was attentive and great at communicating about how Toki was doing at her stay there. Overall, I highly recommend Minnie!”

“Danika is a sweet lady that truly cares about the animals in her care. Which is a relief when leaving my baby. He thinks he's supposed to go everywhere with me but loves going to Danika so it eases him as well. Thank you Danika ❤️”

“My dogs had a wonderful time at McKenna's house! They got along great with Jaxx, and I could tell how happy they were from McKenna’s daily updates. Both of my dogs are seniors who need extra care and medication, and McKenna took good care of them. She was easy to communicate with and always attentive to their needs. Highly recommend!”

“LOVED Ketki for our Dobby I trust her for all my pet sitting needs. The love and care she shows to our pet was really the same she has for her own pup who by the way is a sweetheart!”

“Emily, Patrick, and Conan are such a wonderful family. This was our first time to leave our dog Coco with someone and we were a little worried at first if she would be ok without us, but they took such good care of our dog. Coco is picky about her food, but they made sure she ate properly, and it seems she had fun playing with Winter! Also, we thank Conan for playing with Coco! They also responded quickly and provided frequent updates, so we never had to worry about anything. We're really glad we met this family!”

“Xiaomeng was awesome with my G. She had so much fun! I got videos of walks and “everyday” adventures. She loves being with the owners dog and playing in the yard. Xiaomeng and her husband welcomed G and she loved the TLC. Thank you so much. Highly recommend!”

“Jaimie was great! She took care of our pug puppy for a week while we were on vacation. She sent lots of pictures and video and our puppy looked happy and relaxed throughout her stay. She was clearly well cared for!”

“Fiona was amazing with our dog, Milo. She was easy to communicate with, and flexible regarding pick up and drop off. She kept us updated about how Milo was doing while we were away. Highly recommend her.”

“Liz exceeded all my exceptions when boarding my boy, Bexo! Not only does she provide a "home away from home", but with a stream of photos of Bexo exploring her huge yard and going for walks on the surrounding trails, I really felt like he was getting a vacation of his own. Bexo can take a while to warm up to new people, and doesn't do well with other dogs. While discussing this at drop off, I discovered that Liz is also a trainer with extensive experience working with special needs. This was immediately apparent in the her interactions with Bexo, as she made sure Bexo was conformable with her before I left. She really seem to "hear" him, and I've never seen him take to a stranger so fast. Thanks again Liz! Bexo can't wait until next time.”

“Soma took really good care of Jasper. He enjoyed sunshine both on his bed and in the backyard and Soma was very communicative and shared his pictures and activities every day. Would definitely recommend!”

“Shay is kind and a great communicator. She sent pictures every day. Lily had a great time watching the birds and squirrels in Shay’s yard. I could tell Lily felt comfortable and she had such a great time, she didn’t really even want to come home!😂”

“Andreia has taken care of my Jack Russell for several trips and she is always my go-to sitter. I never worry when he is with her. She sends great pictures and he comes home relaxed and happy, which means I am also relaxed and happy :) ! Thank you, Andreia!”

“Elan was an exceptional doggie care giver for our Tonj. Tonji always returns home in good spirits. We got dates mixed up on the reservation while traveling out of country and Elan was flexible and kind. We will continue to book with Elan.”

“Excellent boarding business - my dog was well-taken care of by very caring people. Ben’s mom even cooked highly nutritious meals for my picky girl with a heart condition. I will use them again. I whole-heartedly recommend them!”

“My dog was so happy with Ana Clara, with a backyard to play in, comfortable place inside to relax and play. She was looked after very well and Ana Clara was very communicative for everything.”

“Valerie and Keith took great care of while dog sitting our pup, Bruno. They made sure to get him out for walks and movement, took him hiking and dog parks, and kept him well entertained in the home with puzzle toys too. I will be booking again in the future and recommend them for your pet sittings! Thank you both!”

“Hazel had a good time with Suk. Got lots of cuddles, walks and generally a happy environment. She was characteristically standoffish with Suk’s cute dog Tbone and refused to play but they got along fine. Suk is very thoughtful , asks all the right questions, kept us updated. We are happy with the experience and feel very comfortable sending her to stay with Suk again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Issaquah
Pam was amazing with my dog, Bowie. He had just lost his lifelong companion and was showing signs of grieving. Pam was very compassionate and made him feel comfortable. He really perked up while staying with Pam and had a great time playing with her dog and the other dogs in her care. In addition, Pam was very responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates during his stay. I am so appreciative of Pam for helping me feel comfortable in knowing that Bowie was safe and well cared for while I was away.

Oakley was in very good hands with Olga! She was spoiled every day with multiple walks, treats and play time throughout her stay and enough love and attention to wear her out each evening. The home and neighborhood is very pet friendly. Olga is very responsive to my texts and very accommodating to my last-minute schedule changes. I can tell Olga has a big heart for dogs! Oakley loved her stay with Olga and I have no doubt she will be back in the future! Big thank you!!

Clarissa is always amazing. I’ve used her a few times and my dog absolutely loves being with her and her dogs. She treats him like her own. My dog has anxiety sometimes and I’ve never seen him get excited to stay with someone else, yet with Clarissa he gets excited and barely looks back as we leave. It’s really cute!

Wendy and James took wonderful care of our two pups. They asked many questions about their needs, habits, and preferences and then honored those during their care. Wendy sent pictures often - even one during the night showing that they were sleeping peacefully. I highly recommend Wendy and James. We will be scheduling future visits.

Emily and her family were absolutely lovely! Simon got lots of love, cuddles, and walks and enjoyed playing with their dog, Winston. Emily sent frequent updates and photos, so I knew my baby was thriving while I was away. I’d definitely recommend Emily to anyone looking for a safe, loving environment for their fur-babies.

She is truly the best. She sends us so many photos and videos every day of how our dog is doing, and we can clearly see that our dog is incredibly happy at her place. She’s the best Rover sitter we’ve ever had, and we’re so thrilled to have finally found someone we can truly trust and keep coming back to. She is very loving and caring, and her service is fantastic. I strongly recommend her!

Koching was amazing with our boxer Remi! She updated us with plenty of photos and gave more attention to Remi than we probably do at home. As he’s a high energy dog, she took him on multiple outings each day to make sure he was stimulated. Will absolutely have her watch Remi again in the future!

Gina was an amazing dog sitter and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away on vacation. Our dog is elderly now, so it was especially important for us to make sure she was with someone patient, caring, and trustworthy — and Gina was absolutely the right person. She has such a warm, calming energy that animals naturally gravitate toward, and our dog clearly felt comfortable and happy with her right away. We also really appreciated the constant updates, videos, and pictures she sent throughout the stay. It made us feel so good knowing our dog was in such loving hands. We would absolutely trust Gina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, attentive sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
