“Elizabeth is such a kind human and went above and behind to take care of our two kitties & home! I would highly recommend booking with her and will definitely use her in the future :)”

“Lindsay was wonderful with our very particular/anxious/stressed kitty!! She was incredibly patient with her and respected her boundaries and space. She followed all of our instructions for care and was very communicative with us. She left great rover cards and took lots of photos. We knew our cat was in great hands while we were out of the country. Will definitely book with her again! She is reliable and overall a great sitter!”

“Autumn is the best! She's taken great care of my cats multiple times now and im so happy to have found a reliable sitter. She's great with communication and sends plenty of pictures!”

About: Hi! I’m an incoming college freshman triple-major and a devoted pet sitter who absolutely adores pets of all sizes and personalities. I treat every pet like my own Ziggy, with lots of patience, engaging playtime, and lots of love. I’ve been babysitting pets since 13. I love all pets and I’ve sat for cats, dogs, caged animals, and fish. I love taking cute photos of your pets (which i’ll send as often as you’d like!) and brushing them. My summer is completely focused on taking care of your pet. I have no jobs or schooling scheduled, and my schedule is completely open to pet sittings all summer! In your home, please walk me through where your pets food is, their favorite hiding spots, their toys, etc. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable regardless of the fact that their family is not home.

About: I have always surrounded myself with animals, I love them so much, I love taking care of them, learning from them and giving them a lot of affection. Two years ago I helped my ex-boyfriend train and take care of his dog, that same year I was taking care of two of a friend's cats, now I own a cat so I feel very capable of taking care of other people's pets. At the moment I am not working at my main job so I can take care of the pets all week and weekends, when I return to my job this will be my part time I live in an apartment with one bedroom and one bathroom, I cannot take care of cats in my apartment but I can take care of dogs, I do not have a patio but as I am available at the moment I can take the dogs for a walk or to a park that is near my apartment
“Zheru was great with our cat! This was our first time leaving our cat alone and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We received a lot of cute photos and a video everyday, as well as a detailed description of the visit. Our cat quickly became affectionate with Zheru and seemed to be very excited to see her each day for playtime. I would highly recommend Zheru!”

“Desiree did a great job with my puppy, Scout. I had a pretty last minute need for a responsible, reliable person to check-in on Scout while I was away during the day for an extended period of time. Desiree responded quickly, helped me with booking, showed up on time and followed my written instructions. Desiree did all this having never met my puppy and was able to comfort my shy Scout and make friends during her brief but fun filled visit. Thank you, Desiree for you help and I plan on calling on your services again.”

“Alyssa was a wonderful sitter for my cat John Cougar. She provided timely and entertaining updates about her drop-in visits, complete with detailed information and excellent photos. I felt assured that my little guy was getting excellent attention and care while I was away. I hope I can use Alyssa's services again in the future for my extended travel days.”

“As always, Garson provided consistent and thoughtful car for our cats. The checking are always informative and assuring that all is well. It is wonderful to know our beloved pets are in good hands.”

“Pam did an amazing job taking care of our two elderly dogs! She stopped by right at 6:30am each day and always left detailed visit notes and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, caring, and very attentive to their needs. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter! Thank you for waking up so early for Summer and Emmi!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Briana. She was sweet from the very beginning and knew exactly how to approach our kitty. We have a very shy cat who’s usually afraid of strangers, but that wasn’t the case with Briana. She was attentive, asked many questions, took notes, and took the time to get to know our Michie. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care. She provided detailed updates and photos after each visit. We’ll definitely rebook her in the future. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares for your pet, look no further!”

“Mark was fabulous with our rambunctious teenage newf and great about keeping in touch with an anxious dog mom. Hagrid was happy to have us home but not upset we had been gone for several days. Thanks Mark!”

“Andrew has taken great care of our fur babies on two occasions. We are pretty sure the dogs are disappointed when we walk in the door instead of Andrew. Excellent communication and professionalism.”

“Kathryn was prompt and did a great job watching our cat, keeping the cat’s areas clean and updating us after each visit. Our kitty obviously liked her. She also brought in packages while we were away which was very helpful. I would highly recommend Kathryn!”

“Samantha communicated well and took great care of our pups. Even the shy one warmed up to her. We would definitely have Samantha watch our furry babies again in the future.”

“Great job taking care of our little Coco, especially as she was still recovering from her spay surgery. And thanks for flexibility with a short-notice schedule extension.”

Lindsay has watched our cat on multiple occasions while we have been gone and we highly recommend her! She’s caring, attentive, and always makes sure to send multiple photos and check-ins. It gave us great comfort to know our kitty had a friend like her while we were gone. We greatly appreciate you Lindsay!

Hilary was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly attentive and took care of my cats exactly according to my instructions. Throughout my trip, she sent me tons of adorable photos of them, which completely put my mind at ease while I was away. Her daily notes were also extremely detailed and thoughtful. I highly recommend Hilary to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!

Katelynn is our go-to sitter for our boy. He is a cat with specific food requirements and asthma, meaning he needs special attention. We always trust our dude is in caring, capable hands. Plus, the photos she takes for the Rover cards are stunning 😄 We are moving away from the area and are truly sad to be lose an incredible Rover. If you need someone, you absolutely should reach out to Katelynn.

Patricia is the best cat sitter we have ever met. She is communicative and takes a ton of pictures, giving us a peace of mind while we travel. Sometimes our cats make a mess and she helps us take care of it too. If you want to find a good cat sitter, look no further 😃

Trista was terrific! Totally understanding with more demands required for my kidney kitty. She was responsive, understanding and caring and took great care with Zooey. It was a huge relief to go away and trust that Zooey was in great hands. Appreciated everything Trista did for us, going above and beyond!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
