“Ardelle came to our place to do a meet & greet with our dog. Our very anxious Bear warmed up to her instantly! As we talked through all of our dog's needs, Ardelle was very friendly, receptive, and knowledgeable. She has a lot of working dog experience and it shows! That put me at ease really quickly and I'm confident that our dog will be safe & happy in her hands. Thank you, Ardelle!”

“Very responsive, easy to communicate with, responsible, timely and friendly. He has a nice steady energy which is really responsive to a variety of dog personalities. Definitely makes things easier for me and my dogs! Would recommend and use again!”

About: I’ve owned cats my entire life and dogs throughout my teenage years. I’ve done dog sitting and cat sitting, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I know how to deal with kittens, puppies and dogs who need medications or extra care. One of my dogs growing up had epilepsy so I am used to having to manage a dog with a disability. I’m a server/bartender trying to make some extra money this summer so I can go back to college next year! I love animals and I grew up around all sorts of animals while working and riding at a horse ranch. Im an extremely respectful person of peoples spaces. Im not on my phone much and will give your pet all the attention it could possibly want and need.
“I highly recommend Valerie and Keith’s services to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate care for their furry friends. I will definitely be using their services again in the future!”

About: I genuinely enjoy building relationships with your pets! I have experience interning at a veterinary pet hospital & I understand that every animal has unique needs, whether that’s helping a puppy learn routines, caring for senior dogs or simply making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved. I’m reliable and focused on keeping pets safe and active. I also make a point to provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. As a recent college graduate I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. Caring for pets fits easily into my daily routine. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, and I take pride in being reliable and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I follow all instructions provided by the owner. In a client’s home, I treat the space with respect and provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Lillian is AMAZING! My usually nervous cat was so comfortable with her. She is a great communicator and sends the sweetest check in pictures. I’m so grateful for Lillian for taking such amazing care of my cat! Thank you!”

“Morgan is a true cat whisperer! Our 19yo male cat is such a scaredy-cat I figured we wouldn’t get pictures of him all week. Wrong! Morgan was able to get pictures of him most days. And they were not just of his tail disappearing around the corner but of him relaxing in his favorite sleeping spots. Well done, Morgan!”

“Guanming and wife are great sitters! They are communitive and detail oriented. It was nice to travel knowing my cats were in good hands, and I got lots of good pictures. I would book again and highly recommend!”

“Baylee has been so great and willing to spend extra time getting to know Millie, who is a very reactive rescue pup. Baylee is great with her, patient, kind and asks all the right questions to know how to provide Millie good care. We appreciate her and she will be our go to Rover for our pup baby!”

“Kathryn was prompt and did a great job watching our cat, keeping the cat’s areas clean and updating us after each visit. Our kitty obviously liked her. She also brought in packages while we were away which was very helpful. I would highly recommend Kathryn!”

“Kseniia watched our three kitties while we were out of town for a couple of days, and we couldn’t have been happier with her care! She did a great job communicating with us each day, letting us know when she would be arriving and sending us photos and updates. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our kitties were well taken care of and having a great time with her. We also really appreciated that she lived close by, which gave us extra reassurance in case of any unexpected emergencies or if she was needed quickly. We’re grateful to Kseniia for taking such great care of our precious kitties while we were away. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Aidan goes above and beyond at every visit. We've had him watch our kitties twice so far, for over a week each time, and he's the best cat sitter we've ever had! He's now our go-to cat sitter. He gives thorough updates, makes sure all three of our cats are individually taken care of, and even made sure to clean up after our kitties' messes so that we came home to a clean house. He's excellent at communication, spent plenty of time with our kitties, and our boys really seemed to love him. I would 100% recommend Aidan!”

“Samantha did an amazing job with my cat, Nala! Nala has never warmed up to any sitter until Samantha. For the first time, Nala let her pet her and even play with her! It’s so amazing. Very happy and so is Nala :)”

About: All my life I have been fond of cats. I have had 7 cats in my life so far and currently my family (me, my wife and teenage son) have 2 cats. I like to say as long as there are cats in this world, there is no reason to be sad. My wife and I often look after our neighbor's cats and now we are expanding to Rover. I offer drop in visits to play with cats, feed them, check water and clean litter. I love dogs and am very comfortable being around dogs, taking them for walks etc. I have lived with dogs for several years when I had roommates and can do dog walks, cleaning litters, feeding them etc. I live in Sammamish and am typically available after 1 pm through evening on all days. I'm easy going and have genuine fondness of cats and dogs. I am well versed with the needs of cats (I have 2) and if I look after your pets, I am easily reachable and will go beyond to over communicate about their well being. Pet safety is priority 1. I have hired Rover pet sitters myself and know what pet parents need, want to know, how to best keep them informed and have good judgment in the area of pet safety.
“Martina went above and beyond to take care of my dog while I was out of town for work. This included belly rubs, snuggles, play time, and walks. It really felt that Martina treated him as if he was her own. She stuck to the agreed schedule and made sure he was happy. If another opportunity presents itself, I will be reaching back out.”

About: Pets have been my life ever since I was five years old. I wasn't a caretaker at that age, but I've fostered a close connection and understanding towards pets ever since. As I got older, my responsibilities grew in kind, and I became much more involved in the day-to-day care of dogs and cats. I've been fortunate to be a part of six dogs lives, and each have brought different temperaments, attitudes, and energy levels. Four of the six were rescues, so I understand the patience and attentiveness needed to properly address their needs and quirks. I also helped raise a 10 week old puppy into adulthood, so I am very familiar with what it takes to handle the stubbornness and energy of a young pup. While it's been some time since my cat has passed away, I likewise share a similar understanding to their needs and socialization. It requires a different approach than a dog but I am happy to adapt to the pet at hand and ensure they receive the best care possible. I have returned from a term of service abroad in the Peace Corps, and am currently searching for employment as I settle back in the states. I will be living in Washington for the time being before I set off to grad school. As such, my schedule is fairly open for dog walking and check-ins. Some of my fondest memories abroad was walking around the countryside in my spare time, so I'm excited to continue that here with some new friends! I will ensure that the pets' needs are addressed in full with the client before I take on the service, and adhere to the directions advised. I cannot currently board pets at my home, but I am happy to check in on pets whilst abiding by the rules of my client's homes.
“Mark was fabulous with our rambunctious teenage newf and great about keeping in touch with an anxious dog mom. Hagrid was happy to have us home but not upset we had been gone for several days. Thanks Mark!”

Carolina is the best! Charlie absolutely loves her and goes nuts every time he sees her. He know they are going to have a good hike together. Plus, she’s super dependable and flexible. My husband was out of town and she was able to help me out with a last minute schedule add on. She’s 6/5 stars.

Sophia is so sweet and took such great care of our girl while we were gone! Drop in notes were detailed and even took extra time (over 30 minutes) to ensure our dog got a good walk and extra play time in. Thank you so so so much! Highly recommend and I know Pheebs will be excited to see you again! :)

Brooke was amazing. She went above and beyond for Crunchy. She even helped show my daughter tips and tricks on how to get my sweet picky boy to eat all of his food. We came home to a very happy boy and are very thankful for all of the time she spent with our boy.

My first time using rover app and got blessed with such an amazing, kind, responsible and caring individual! I don’t travel often but she made my anxiety go away instantly knowing I was leaving my 3 Dogs in her care. Next trip I will most definitely reach back out again to Samantha! 10/10 highly recommend. Thank you so much again for providing wonderful care of my babies <3

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
