“Mike was a fantastic dog sitter and walker for our dog, Faith! He followed special care instructions, sent photos throughout his time spent with her and it was clear they had a lot of fun! Faith went on multiple walks, played with her toys with Mike, and he made sure she was fed, had water, etc. I highly recommend booking Mike to care for your pet as it's clear that he loves animals and will treat your pet like family. Thanks, Mike!”

“Our dog Ace has separation anxiety and Katrina has already helped him so much! Every day he gets more used to us being gone and I know we have her in large part to thank!”

“Lindsay provided great care to our three cats while we were away and even brought in our trash can and packages. We felt completely confident that our pets were in good hands. She provided thoughtful, daily updates that gave us reassurance our pets were doing great. We look forward to using her services again in the future!”

About: Hi! I'm Emma. I lovveeee dogs. I've been volunteering at Seattle Humane, been walking dogs weekly. I'm a long distance runner hence I'm good with long walk or jog to tire your dog out. I'm also calm and patient, suitable if your dog is shy or has a routine and you need a patient sitter. I'll love your dog like my own=) A little more about myself is I'm a coffee lover and my education background is in biology. I'm still looking for a full time job. Meanwhile, I'm also an aspiring baker. I love the outdoors, mtb, snowboarding and rock climbing! *I just started on Rover hence doing a special discount for month of July, hope to gather some feedbacks and reviews. thanks! I'm volunteering part time at Seattle Humane while looking for a full time job. Hence I have a flexible schedule. I can do weekday work hours when you need someone to check-in/ care for your dog while you are at work! N/A. I come from pet free home. If I'm walking your dog after my volunteer session, I'll change my clothes in between just to be safe!
“Tiffany was wonderful with our pug, Marcy! She stopped by several times while we were away to make sure that Marcy was fed, walked, and got some quality play time. I really appreciated the pictures she took, as I always miss Marcy so much when I’m away. Tiffany is extremely knowedgable in dog care. I felt very safe leaving Marcy in her hands. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Bailey was absolutely wonderful while watching my cat! Communication was so easy with her and she went above and beyond while I was out of town. My cat loved spending time with her. Truly such a great individual to trust with my cat while I was gone!”

“Shana is a very prepared sitter. When we did an initial visit, she brought a notepad and took lots of notes. My building uses the Latch app and while we didn't struggle with this at first, unfortunately on the day of Shana's visit, it decided it needed to be updated, which can be really confusing for visitors. She was able to get it to work and get inside to take care of my two cats. She sent lots of great photos and they warmed up to her right away. I'd definitely book again :)”

“Saraswati was super flexible with our schedule and went above and beyond with the inclimate weather we were having to make sure Kevin was taken care of. She's been amazing to work with!”

“This was my first time using Rover—and my first time having someone outside of family care for my furry family member. I was a bit hesitant at first, not knowing what to expect. But Rover made the process easy, and more importantly, I found a wonderful cat caregiver in Brooke. We did a meet-and-greet at my home, and I instantly knew my cat was comfortable when he greeted her at the door. Brooke was attentive as I explained his routine and asked thoughtful questions that showed her experience and genuine care. While I was traveling, she checked in daily with detailed notes and adorable photos (bonus: she has a real knack for capturing the best pet moments!). From my cat’s relaxed expressions, it was clear he was well cared for, not stressed, and thoroughly enjoying the playtime and treats Brooke provided. Knowing he was in such good hands gave me tremendous peace of mind. I’ll absolutely be booking Brooke again for future trips!”

“Christian took amazing care of Shifu! He looked after him for 5 days and was prompt, reliable and thoughtful. I got regular photo updates every day, which really put me at ease when I was away. I’d absolutely book Christian again without hesistation. Highly recommend.”

About: My entire life I have been raised alongside animals of all kinds, so I have a genuine passion for their care. It was always a responsibility of mine to help take care of our own at home pets as a kid, but eventually I moved up to helping out other family members, friends of family, neighbors, friends of friends, etc. with their pets while they were out working, on vacation, or just out on the town for the night. This included making sure pet was safe, happy, fed, relieved of any potty breaks, had constant access to water, and was enriched with plenty of play time and some treats! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll be available Sun-Mon, & Wed-Thur between the times 9a-3p. I can make some exceptions here and there for different times during those days, just need more information of time and reason. I am able to come to you or vice versa, there is a perfectly quiet and spacious dog park right here in my neighborhood. I do have a Dachshund and cat at home. Kitty is very friendly and playful with dogs XS-L, the menace of the house is the Dachshund. He is very temperamental with other dogs, but has never been aggressive. If the circumstance is me coming to you, I will absolutely respect any rules of your home, just give me the run down and I will make sure to dot my I's and cross my T's!
“Emily was wonderful with our cats, Pink and Smudge! She took great care of them over the 2 weeks, was always super responsive, and was incredibly accommodating with schedule changes. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs all my life, and have a sweet malti-poo who loves all kinds of other dogs. I am a stay at home retired mom and will care and love your dog just as my own. Since I am retired I will attend to the dogs throughout the day and night so they are not left alone. I take my dog on walks many times of the day and can be flexible with your dog's schedule. I'm currently retired and home all day as is my husband, so I can walk and care for dogs anytime unless I am traveling. Usually I don't have other activities except for caring for my own dog, so I give lots of exercise, playtime, rest and cuddles. I am in an apartment but walk dogs frequently and there are parks and trails all around my area as well as fenced dog parks. I usually start the day with a longer morning walk, then add a lunchtime walk and/or an evening walk and end the day with a last quick walk before getting ready for bed. If dogs are used to crates, I have two crates that they are welcome to utilize if they feel safe that way or if it is part of their regular sleep routine. I also will sleep with dogs if that is what they are used to, I have a large couch that turns into a queen size bed and I frequently sleep in the living room with dogs, as I want them to feel at home with me and do similar things they are accustomed to at their own homes. I always try and keep my energy very calm and non-reactive with dogs, praising with treats and cuddles for good behavior whenever possible. I want every dog I watch to feel secure, safe and loved.
“Caroline was a great sitter for my cat while we were out of town for 3 days. Great communication, and very detailed updates on him! She gave him his medication and he felt comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I had the nicest yellow lab growing up from the age of 12 that I regularly took care of. I also recently adopted a 2 month old golden x cocker spaniel mix (he’s 9 months now) and have been training him myself. I follow positive puppy training practices and slowly build trust with dogs. My wife and I both work from home on most days. We are raising a 9 month old puppy and spend at least 4-5 hours everyday with him. We would love to extend that care to another dog, both for our pup to have some company and for us to spend time with more dogs! I have a fully fenced yard and a very friendly pup to keep any dog entertained. I also have a medium sized crate and have done a bit of puppy proofing (partitions, play pens, separate rooms) to help as needed.
“Jessica was awesome with our two cats while we were away for vacation. She gave regular updates and followed all our instructions. We came back to happy cats and a well taken care of space. We’d be happy to book her again!”

“Out of all the cat sitters I have tried (on or off Rover), Leelay stands above all with her genuine love for any cats. I have two cats who each have different views when it comes to a stranger caring for them. Leelay took her time to understand and bond with each of them in a way where I believe my cats forgot about my disappearance. When I came back home, my cats acted like nothing had happened which we all know is probably the best scenario for fidgety cats. Thank you Leelay for all you have done!!”

“This was my first time using the drop-in service, and it was a pleasure working with Briana. She sent me pictures even though it was a short visit. She even followed up with me when one of my dogs didn’t have a bowel movement. It was a delight, and I will definitely be using her services again.”

About: I had a corgi until I was 12 years old who I fed, walked, and played with for much of my childhood. I also have frequently walked my neighbors’ dogs and gone over to feed/watch them when they aren’t at home, including when my neighbor’s golden retriever was still a puppy, although I am also capable of handling big dogs too. I have always loved animals and, especially as an introvert, getting to hang out with them all summer is something I am more than happy to do! I am currently back home for the summer until around mid August, and this is the only form of work I’ll be doing while I’m here. Any activity I want to do is something that can be done at more or less any time, meaning my schedule will be very flexible and able to cater to what you need. I make sure to give the animal as much space as needed before jumping straight in. Some pets are more reserved and it can be tough for them to get used to a new person in their space, so I like to make sure I meet them where they’re at. I ask the owner any questions I have both in advance and also while they’re gone if something comes up. I like to be prepared and know where everything is and how to deal with any situation that might occur, so open communication is something I really strive for.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Redmond
We're so grateful to Brandi for taking such wonderful care of our pets whenever we're out of town. Most recently she looked after our conure for a full week, and she does a fantastic job of keeping us updated on how everything's going. There's nothing better than being away and knowing your pets are in good hands. If you're looking for someone to care for your pets, we can't recommend Brandi highly enough!

Ruolan watched our girls for four days, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. She sent us frequent photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to them while we were away. She was incredibly kind, followed all of our instructions carefully, and was very patient with both dogs. One of our girls has a sensitive stomach, so we were especially grateful that she took such great care to keep her routine consistent and healthy. She was also very thoughtful and proactive. When she noticed the apartment was getting too warm, she reached out to ask if it was okay to lower the temperature. We also crate one of our dogs, but she made an effort to give her extra time out of the crate whenever possible. She is attentive, detail-oriented, and truly respectful of both our home and our pets. We are so happy we found her and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future.
My dog was instantly friends with Christian when he came over for the meet and greet, my dog isn’t always that friendly with new people so that was a good sign. Overall was great and sent pictures of my dog for each drop in visit. Have him booked again for my next trip and recommend!

Elena was amazing with our dog Quill! Quill is a little bit nervous around new people and anxious with loud sounds but Elena made sure she was comfortable, happy, and safe while we were away. We couldn’t ask for a better experience and highly recommend Elena!

Kris is absolutely incredible. She provided such wonderful care of our senior pup, putting him at ease right away. Not only helped our pup, but she provided just as much help for me too by teaching me how to manage difficult nail care. Such a sweet and personable dog lover and is an emergency vet ta boot!!!!! If there was a gold medal for Rovers- Kris would have earned one today. 🥇🥇🥇

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
