I am currently back home for the summer until around mid August, and this is the only form of work I’ll be doing while I’m here. Any activity I want to do is something that can be done at more or less any time, meaning my schedule will be very flexible and able to cater to what you need.

I make sure to give the animal as much space as needed before jumping straight in. Some pets are more reserved and it can be tough for them to get used to a new person in their space, so I like to make sure I meet them where they’re at. I ask the owner any questions I have both in advance and also while they’re gone if something comes up. I like to be prepared and know where everything is and how to deal with any situation that might occur, so open communication is something I really strive for.

Any quirks they may have which I should know how to accommodate as well as how to help make them feel safe. It can take some time for a pet to get used to a new person and I want to be ready with how I can help seamlessly adapt to their regular routine with as little friction as possible.
A typical day
I try to stick relatively close to a pet’s regular routine while also adding in more fun activities and exercise that they wouldn’t normally get while their owner is gone.

Pet care experience
I had a corgi until I was 12 years old who I fed, walked, and played with for much of my childhood. I also have frequently walked my neighbors’ dogs and gone over to feed/watch them when they aren’t at home, including when my neighbor’s golden retriever was still a puppy, although I am also capable of handling big dogs too. I have always loved animals and, especially as an introvert, getting to hang out with them all summer is something I am more than happy to do!

Ethan was fantastic for our dogs first day care! At the meet-and-greet he took time to get to know both dogs on a short stroll around the neighborhood and paid careful attention to the instructions. After the first visit Ethan sent a photo of both dogs in the backyard - happy and ready to play. Really appreciate the punctuality and care he put into the details.
Our plans changed the day before we were scheduled to leave and we couldn’t bring our dog as planned, we frantically looked for a dog sitter and luckily we found Ethan! He was so wonderful with our dog Lucy while we were gone for a week. He took her for daily walks as we asked and kept in frequent communication with us about day to day activities, sending us pictures. He was neat and clean and respectful of our home. We came home from our trip to a very happy, well cared for dog. Thank you Ethan!
Ethan is a gentle and caring soul toward animals! He has loved them since he was very little and has always been kind and curious to new ones. He is a very responsible, motivated, and generous person, always wanting to help others and always kind. I'd recommend him to any animals who need good company!
Ethan loves animals! He went through most of his childhood with the family Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rocky! They became best friends. Ethan was always so kind and gentle with him, even when Rocky would act bossy! Ethan also cared for several neighborhood dogs and cats. He cared for the pets, and often attended to the family's home needs as well. Ethan is extremely efficient! He gets his "to do" list done right away, and is very responsible. And he is just a kind and fun person. He makes friends wherever he goes and is well-liked! You will be glad to have Ethan caring for your pets!
