“I would definitely recommend Bailey to anyone looking for a sitter to drop in on their cat(s). I hired Bailey to drop in on my cat over a 3ish week timespan. She followed instructions carefully and, more impressively, was able to get my very shy cat to open up to her. For context, my cat is extremely wary of strangers and hides when unfamiliar people are at my house. I was very happy to eventually see pictures of my cat happily cuddling up to Bailey. Bailey also clearly cares about providing excellent care to her clients’ animals.”

“Shayna is AMAZING with our Great Dane and two cats! Our dog is almost double the size of her and she handles him with such great care! Would highly recommend her services!”

About: I’ve helped take care of my late dog for 15 and a half years by walking, feeding, playing, training, and giving lots of cuddling! I have also worked on training like learning new tricks (sit, shake, down, stay). I am also comfortable with senior care such as picking them up to go up and down the stairs and giving medication when needed. I do have a full time job, but I do go back home for lunch everyday for an hour. I am available more on the weekend's for walking during the evenings/drop ins on the weekdays. But everything can be changed depending on schedules on both sides. My fiance and I also work together to take care of dogs and he works from home most of the week. We are a dream team! Boarding can be anytime! In my home, I have a big backyard with a fence, a doggy door for smaller dogs, and a spacious home for your dog to have all the room to play. I love to play fetch or tug of war with dogs. I believe playing is the best thing for exercise and plain fun! Rest is also important in a dog’s routine. Whatever the owner wants for their dog, I will give!
“Alex was a great caretaker for my dogs while my family and I were gone for a night. He visited 4 times for at least 30 minutes each (as promised!) From the introduction meeting and the photo updates he sent, the dogs seemed to really like him. I was so relieved to have someone trustworthy in our home. He is a great guy!”

About: I am loving and someone you can trust. I do my best to understand them and meet their needs. I love them all as if they were my own babies. I help them take them out and about and meet their needs. If they are happy with me, I will be happy too. Rest assured. My priority is their safety and happiness. I take care of everything about them myself. I don't let them walk in places I don't find safe. I take them home safely and hand them over to their family.
“Katie was great! Very quick to respond and so friendly! She gave our kitty very good care and attention while we were away and gave really great updates and pictures. We felt good knowing our girl was in good hands. Would highly recommend Katie for your fur baby!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals around my neighborhood and have had rescue dogs of my own. I love animals and will make yours feel right at home! My schedule is very flexible! I am available most weekdays and can take care of your pet any time on weekends! Let me know what’s best for you:) I have a rescue dog of my own who is on the mellow side so she will most likely watch but not interact. I have a yard however it is not fenced, but I will use a gate to keep your dog in the yard.
“So glad we found Edie. Despite an uncertain welcome by my 3 standard poodles (especially the two youngest ones), she won them over and had my spirited 4 year old boy hugging her and other one laying at her feet. She even spent time with my 20 year old kitty who mostly sleeps these days. Edie knows her way around animals and her comfort level was obviously communicated to my four legged children. Thank you, Edie!”

“Logan was great with my over excited puppy. On time, gave her good attention and walked and played with her. She came early to meet the puppy and listened to and alleviated all of my concerns walking this first time rover user through the process.”

“Madeline was excellent to work with from start to finish. I am so appreciative of her willingness to work with a shy dog that takes warming up. She provided updates and photos that helped put my mind at ease while I was away. Kodi got all the care she needed and I'd definitely re-book!”

About: I had the nicest yellow lab growing up from the age of 12 that I regularly took care of. I also recently adopted a 2 month old golden x cocker spaniel mix (he’s 9 months now) and have been training him myself. I follow positive puppy training practices and slowly build trust with dogs. My wife and I both work from home on most days. We are raising a 9 month old puppy and spend at least 4-5 hours everyday with him. We would love to extend that care to another dog, both for our pup to have some company and for us to spend time with more dogs! I have a fully fenced yard and a very friendly pup to keep any dog entertained. I also have a medium sized crate and have done a bit of puppy proofing (partitions, play pens, separate rooms) to help as needed.
“I cannot recommend Ani highly enough! She is an absolute gem when it comes to caring for our dogs. She is incredibly reliable, always happy to accommodate our drop-in requests, and truly goes the extra mile. Our pups adore her! She's patient, playful, and provides them with lots of love and attention. We appreciate her for letting our dogs out, refreshing their water, and showering them with treats. Our high-energy pup is especially lucky to have her as she knows just how to tire her out with endless rounds of fetch. She's more than just a dog walker; she's a trusted member of our family!”

About: I am and always have been an animal lover. I was the kid who always brought home stray cats and dogs convinced my parents to keep them. I rescued my own first dog 8 years ago, rehabilitated and trained her (a 5-year-old pittie called Missy who sadly passed away a couple of years ago). Since then I have been dog sitting and dog walking for friends and family. I currently have a 6-year-old white fluffball of a cat called Jasper and I am also a volunteer with Seattle Humane. I am more comfortable with dogs who are past the puppy stage but am open to all ages (I've never had a puppy). I'm very happy to do meet and greets to ensure you feel comfortable about the fit. I’ll always share photos and updates so you know how your fur baby is doing as this is so important to me as a pet owner. I am currently not working full-time so I have plenty of space for helping out with your fur babies. I am available during the working week for dog walks and house visits, plus I can do short stay pet sitting. I prefer to sit in my clients' homes when they are away so that their pets stay in their normal routine and in the environment they know and are comfortable in.
“Shivani was quick to respond and very communicative. She included several photos of our cats Cinnamon and Bazil in the daily Rover cards while we were away. Additionally, she took detailed notes on what they did each day. This was so nice to see since we missed them so much. They seemed to enjoy their patio time and playtime with Shivani. Our apartment was clean when we arrived home and our cats were content. We will be sure to request her next time we are in need of services!”

“Mike recently watched my two cats for a week. He took time to meet with me in person, kept me informed on when he stopped in, sent me photos and was very responsive when I asked questions. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend him!”

genuinely just the sweetest girly out there. i love when our schedules align and Alexa is available to watch my dog!! i trust her so much and always feel at ease when she’s watching my dog. i can confidently know that my dog is receiving the same love he would be if i were there.

Shannon and Jason are amazing! I had a required work meeting while my dog was having an allergic reaction that required supervision and Benadryl. They picked her up and watched her last minute making sure she was safe and healthy. I would recommend and trust them with Kazi again.

Billie did a fantastic job hanging out with our 15 week old puppy! She made sure she was fed and watered, got a walk in, some play time, and a lot of belly rubs! She sent great photos, which we always enjoy. We will certainly be asking Billie to drop in on our pup again.

Natalia did drop-in visits for our beloved dog for a week. We were nervous due to our dog’s advanced age and frailty. There was no need to worry. Natalia is pure magic. She took great care and she knew exactly what to do with this 15-year old senior dog. We came home to a happy pooch and are so grateful for Natalia’s care.

Eric is a great person and one of the best pet sitters I’ve ever had. My dog and cats loved him. He is very gentle & caring. My pets warmed up to him very quickly. He did a wonderful job caring for my senior dog and young cats. I went on a business trip for several days and was concerned about leaving my senior dog at home with the cats but Eric did a wonderful job. So I came back to a happy, wagging tale. Eric was on time for the visits, took the time to play with the cats, give them love and attention, and sent me detailed notes with lots of pictures. He even reported on how they were eating their food! I’m so glad I found Eric and I can trust him with my pets whenever I need!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Kirkland with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
