“Alex was a great caretaker for my dogs while my family and I were gone for a night. He visited 4 times for at least 30 minutes each (as promised!) From the introduction meeting and the photo updates he sent, the dogs seemed to really like him. I was so relieved to have someone trustworthy in our home. He is a great guy!”

“Chelsea was wonderful with Hagrid! She was so sweet and attentive with him. She took him out for potty breaks, fed him, and spent time playing with him. Hagrid seemed very happy and comfortable with her. I would definitely book with Chelsea again! 😊🤍”

“James is an excellent cat sitter. Setting up the times for key pickup and drop off was hassle free. My cat who is typically on the shyer side was immediately friendly with James.”

“Thank you both so much for taking such a wonderful care of Carrot and Pineapple over the past couple of months. It meant the world to us knowing they were in such loving and reliable hands. We truly appreciate all the time, care, and attention you gave them. We’re so so grateful for you both and couldn’t asked for better sitters!”

“Viktoriia was great to work with. She took excellent care of my cat and sent lots of photos each day. She was very careful and kind with my cat’s needs. I will be working with her again in the future!”

“Elle took such great care of my pup while I was away! She sent plenty of photos and updates, which made me feel so much more comfortable on my trip. I’d definitely book with her again!”

“Rachel has been amazing with Millie. She goes above and beyond. She is a great communicator and takes care of Millie as if she was her own dog. It gives me so much peace to be at work knowing my dog is getting loved on so well by Rachel.”

“Emily was wonderful with our cats, Pink and Smudge! She took great care of them over the 2 weeks, was always super responsive, and was incredibly accommodating with schedule changes. Highly recommend!”

“Alexa takes wonderful care of Clementine. After Clementine had a bit of a health scare, Alexa was very diligent about monitoring Clem for symptoms and making sure she was happy! She is the best!”

“I would definitely recommend Bailey to anyone looking for a sitter to drop in on their cat(s). I hired Bailey to drop in on my cat over a 3ish week timespan. She followed instructions carefully and, more impressively, was able to get my very shy cat to open up to her. For context, my cat is extremely wary of strangers and hides when unfamiliar people are at my house. I was very happy to eventually see pictures of my cat happily cuddling up to Bailey. Bailey also clearly cares about providing excellent care to her clients’ animals.”

“Shana did a wonderful job taking care of our cats on her recent visits. She used a large laser toy when entertaining our senior boy because she noticed older cats don't always see the small laser well - from the pictures, I could tell my cat was extremely happy finally being able to see the laser :)”

“Brittany was extremely accommodating and a great sitter for our cat, Lola. She was communicative, thoughtful, and prompt in everything from the meet and greet to her regular visits with Lola. It seems as if she and Lola had a great time while we were away! We look forward to having Brittany sit for Lola again during our next trip!”

“Amazing sitter!!! She really cares for your animals like her own and does a spectacular job with detailed notes and communication. The top notch communication really helps put your mind at ease when you’re away. She went above and beyond and we’re so incredibly grateful to have found someone so amazing! Thank you Caroline!! :)”

“Juniper is without a doubt, absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her!!! My precious girl, Ellie, is a rescue and I’ll admit I was very wary of leaving her in the care of a pet sitter. But Juniper blew both of us away! We initially did a meet and greet, during which Juniper listened intently, took notes, and asked helpful questions. Juniper took the time to actually get to know Ellie. She was very attentive and respectful of Ellie’s boundaries, but also very kind. Ellie warmed up to her very quickly! During her visits with Ellie, she took photos and kept me updated on how she was doing. She played with ellie, had some lap dog time, gave her treats, cleaned up after her, and filled up her water bowls. Last but not least, Juniper left a cute doodle of Ellie. I mean how great can you get! I quite literally had no worries at all during Juniper’s visits. Seeing my Ellie so happy was so amazing and I’m so grateful for Juniper. If you’re looking for a sitter who goes above and beyond, is patient and caring with your pet, and is attentive to their needs - look no further!”

“Jessilea and Leandra were amazing! They took care of our kitty as if she was their own. They gave her lots of pets and playtime. They provided detailed updates, asked questions if anything came up, and took great care of my plants as well. I definitely recommend them and will be booking with them in the future!”

“Leelay is fantastic! Very meticulous, she asked tons of questions before we finalized the booking and spent lots of time with my pets when she visited. Every day she came exactly at the time we agreed and she sent photos each time she visited, keeping close contact the entire time. She’s so kind and thorough, I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Allie was an awesome cat sitter for the weekend i was away. My younger cat, Mylo, even made friends with her, which is amazing because he’s usually nervous with new people. I came home to happy cats and a tidy home, and I’d gladly book her again.”

Jessica was great with my cat Fitz! She was easy to coordinate/communicate with for drop-in visits. Fitz can be very shy but was comfortable with her. He was able to get some cuddles and playtime while I was away. I’m rebooking with her for some upcoming trips!

This was our first experience booking pet care through Rover, and I could not have asked for a better person to care for our cat. Sai followed our care instructions closely, arrived on time, loved on our girl, and went above and beyond when a minor incident occurred in our home. Sai was extremely communicative and responsive, and left us detailed accounts of each of her visits with our cat. I would gladly invite Sai to care for our cat again in the future.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Ning is the cat whisperer! We have one spicy calico who is very particular with new people. Ning won her over in record time (IMMEDIATELY) and got her showing her belly even. Our orange boy is playful and Ning matched his energy. She sends the best pictures and updates, so you’re always reassured your cats are in the best care while you’re away.

Rebekah stopped by to check on my cats for a couple days over the weekend and took great care of them. I got detailed updates with lots of pictures, and she made sure they got treats and playtime. My shy girl Gadget even came out of hiding on the first day, which is always good to see. If the kitties approve, then so do I!

Jacob is a fantastic sitter! I have to do a last minute booking and he was very flexible to help. He did a great job watching my two young cats for a couple of days. He was on time, sent me great pictures and detailed notes. My cats warmed up to him quickly since he is a sweet person. I can trust Jacob with my cats and home…Thank you Jacob!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kirkland. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
